His "Death March" cracks me up! That's probably would my husband thinks before actually trying it..lol. My twin brother is the one who told me about HCG. He did a round using drops, lost 28 pounds and has maintained it. A guy in his office had lost 100 pounds doing HCG RX drops for 8 months straight. Unfortunately he has gained all the weight back. I went to the same doctors office they used (which is actually an OBGYN) to get the drops for my first round. The doctor conducted a meeting to the group and promoted staying on the plan until you reach your goal. If it weren't for the knowledge and experience shared on this forum I may have went down that road. Very thankful I didn't, there's no knowing if or what kind of hardships I could have done to my body. Doing the long maintenance weeks have definitely been beneficial for me as I've learn a lot about my body during each one of them.

Wow, that doctor really needs to read the original protocol!! I've seen posts from others that have just stayed on hcg to lose everything all in one round, invariably they gain it back. I think in the past I've pushed it a couple extra days but never more than that. I remember my Round 2 was horrid, went into it as soon as the six weeks were up. Couldn't hardly lose a dang thing, very frustrating, so ended at 23 days instead of a long round. Waited a couple months I think, then tried again. MUCH more successful. It's tempting to just stick to it if things are going well, but you really do pay the price later on.

Hummm....your experience 2nd round gives me something to think about. I've been considering going off original protocol after this short round by shorting the maintenance time to 3 or 4 weeks before doing another round. Was aiming to to do 2 short rounds hoping to lose 15 lbs each round before Thanksgiving. Didn't even think about my body not being able to lose. That would soooo not be worth it! Oh boy...I'll shall ponder on this. Glad you shared it...thank you

I am on some FB pages and I like to help but there is a lot of misinformation out there.

I always had very successful rounds but did have some time in between mine as well and did better with them

Jessie, yeah, I'd much rather take the necessary breaks and be successful in the long run than to try shortening them and end up losing all the weight only to easily regain every pound and likely more.

I reduced my dose today from 150IU to 125IU. I started having some serious empty hunger yesterday so it was time. I tend to need the reduction after the first couple of weeks, though. No, I didn't skip. Likely I should have, but I didn't want to risk having no losses because I skipped (which tends to happen to me). So, there's MY off protocol action.

I hate that places do that.
I make my own cold brew coffee for that very reason and I can choose from soooo many different flavored coffee beans. My current fave that i make is from a local UT company and they make a medium bean called Highlander Grogg. Love it!

Quick check in. VLCD 11- Down 1 lb. Definitely not typical for second week but Iíll take it. 12 lbs lost so far. Iím hoping to see the 180s in the next few days. Can comfortably fit in 12s and muffin top is dramatically shrinking. Yay!

The round 2 that didn't go so well... what was the frequency of your weight loss?

I've been thinking about how slow my losses have been and wondered if it had to do with me going straight back to it after the six weeks was up... and perhaps had I given it some more time, would my losses be better?

    P2 SW 188.8 - LIW 167.4 = 21.4 lb loss
