Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - "All About It" IN AUGUST!!!!

  1. #25
    Hi Lovelies,

Nice to see some new faces, and the July crew here in August!

I have just completed 24 of my 72 hours for a five(ish) day PI after 24 days on drops following the OP. I am going camping with a school group for work, and P3 foods will give me more options. My last round in Feb/March I had no problems with P3, and I am really hoping that will be the case with my PI because I won't be bringing a scale with me - I will be very nervous waking up next Thursday morning and seeing how it went! I always read every round is different, but am clinging to the hope that my super slow, below average losses will make stabilizing easier.

And then it will be back on the bandwagon to finish off my long round. I am not sure what my end goal weight is because it wasn't until I was unhealthily overweight that I started weighing myself. As a result I don't know what is 'regular' for me. I am curvy, with boobs and hips, so I am just aiming for the highest BMI in the 'normal' range as a target to shoot for I won't be able to get to my target on this round, but that's a different problem for a different day - first things first, have a successful PI & then get back on original protocol!

    Here are my stats
SW 178.6 (I was like 176.6 before load)
    VLCD 23 160.8 (LIW)
    (VLCD) 160.7 (VLCD) 160.7
    P3 week 1 160.7, 160.2, 160.7, 160.7, 161.0, 160.7, 162.4
    P3 week 2 162.4, 162.4, 163.9, 161.9, 161.9, 161.1, 161.1
    P3 week 3 162.6, 161.6. 160.3. 160.3, 161.4, 162.0, 161.7

P4 begins and I am one pound above LIW. I am looking forward to my next round to loose the weight, but not super excited about the boring diet. It will be fine. I am going to add in some sweet potato, maybe tomorrow night. I have this seafood thing tomorrow night and I think I can still eat pretty much P3 when I drink so I don't gain from the alcohol. Got up this morning again to work..and working tonight...going to catch up on the posts and go and get ready for my regular job.

welcome all of you newbies and returnees. Our stories sound similar went from 168-128 in 2012 on three rounds. Kept it off until about 2016 after it just started to creep and finally was pushing the high 170's. I stayed there for quite sometime. Turned 50, got rid of work stress, feel less stressed about my son's type 1 diabetes so I am sleeping better and I would be happy at about 135-140, at least right now.

we will see what happens as we move forward. I am doing my next round in mid sept.

At this point I need to feel more comfortable. 90 pounds of extra weight is a LOT to carry around and it's REALLY uncomfortable to move, breathe, etc... I've done a lot of internal work, now it's time to do the external work for my health and longevity.
wowwww, we are like TWINS! Literally six years ago I weighed 123#, at the gym 5 days a week, and rollerblading 23 miles every Saturday. Then, pounds started coming without mercy and I felt beyond wiped out. Had bilateral knee replacement in 2014, three level spinal fusion in 2015, my thyroid was killed in 2015 due to nodules, AND menopause all throughout. 150 seemed like a whale to me, then I hit 170 without even blinking, THEN 190! OMG, I look at myself and wonder who IS this huge person looking back at me??!! Now 150 seems wonderful, 140 seems really high hopes, and 130 would be a miracle. For me, I've just got to feel good, feel comfortable in my own skin, get away from the final number on the scale and focus on how I feel mentally and physically AND what I can realistically maintain in the long run.

    Hey ladies!

I am new to this forum but not HCG. I did a round a few years ago with drops (pretty sure they were fake but alas a story for another time). I also have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism which was just this spring but my weight has jump 10-15 pounds which moved me from my high end of ok with it to over the top. I have done the yo-yo dieting for years being up in the 190's down to competing in bikini competitions so I am hoping that this round will help me fix my mental issues as well as my physical ones.

We moved from Canada to Texas 3 years ago and as they say "everything is bigger in Texas" which goes for serving sizes, days of indulgences in foods and alcohol - heck it can be a patio day almost 365 days a year.

Ready to kick butt this round and get back to being me.

LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - "All About It" IN AUGUST!!!!

Welcome, everyone. Sounds like we all have similar stories. I did the 120ís to 140ís to 170ís journey, too, thru my 30ís, 40ís, menopause 50ís. Took t4 thyroid meds for 25 years and still had all the thyroid symptoms. So tired for YEARS. Gained and could not lose. Ached and ached.

Finally found a nurse practitioner who specialized in Womenís hormones. Not only went on bio-identical hormones but found I didnít need T4óI needed T3! There are more and more doctors and info on a Tertiary Thyroid condition. Not hypo or hyper, but not able to process T4 into T3.

My experience with endos is that they are .... not helpful. Just sayin.

I have maintained under 130 for 5 years now, with a couple of swoops up 15-20 pounds that thanks to hcg Iíve been able to work that back off. And T3.

    Check out the website Stopthethyroidmadness.com.

Iím older than most of you, so Iím a bit further along in the health discovery part. I still have to work at it but Iíve proved to myself that I can do this!

Iíll be loading this weekend to finish getting off the ďI have bronchitis and I just donít care, pass the donutsĒ weight. 10 pounds left.

    Onward all!!!

Wow! So many similar stories! It’s so good to see that in spite of thyroid issues and menopause, HCG has the ability to reverse the effects of our bad metabolisms and accelerate weight loss. Mine is so bad, that if I’m not careful, I can easily gain 20 lbs at a time without blinking. It’s scary that my weight can get out of control like that. Thank goodness for HCG!

    My R2 Stats:
    VLCD 1: (After Load) 183.8
    VLCD 2: 179.2
    VLCD 3: 179.4
    VLCD 4: 177.4

Today, I got a 2 lb. drop. I’m happy since I saw no progress yesterday. This will be my 2nd dose of 150 iu (from 125 iu). Hoping I’ve found my sweet spot.

Had a feeling you would see a loss again..so excited for you. Yes..it is funny how many of us have done this before and that life stress, lack of attention and those bloody hormones get the way of staying slim.

    Sigh.

I popped up again yesterday and stayed there today.

I think it is because I jacked up my arm somehow and have not gotten much/any sleep the past two nights, as it hurts every time I move and wakes me up.

I did NOTHING to cause this and it is not my shoulder or elbow, not a joint at all, just the meaty part of my left upper arm. argh. No, not from mowing, as it has been this way for 3 weeks, but just suddenly got worse on Tuesday. It doesn't hurt to push a mower, it hurts to lift my arm even without anything in my hand. I can drive fine, as long as I lift my arm up with the other hand until I can reach the wheel! Good thing I use a fork with my right hand, or I'd have starved to death. I can use the computer keyboard just fine, as that is low and just reach out, not up.

Dr's appt tomorrow. I don't want pain pills. I don't want steroids. I want to know what the heck I did and how not to do it anymore!

Crossing fingers that this is the 2 pound jump, because I have not eaten ANYTHING different than last week or the week before.

Good morning to ALL! Welcome to those who are new, and welcome back to those who have been away living their lives for a while... Nice to hear from a few familiar HCG friends!!

I am still plugging along with my incredibly boring P2. Almost a month down, and one more to go. I have decided to do a PI for the fish fry we were invited to on August 18th. This will be my reward for hitting my halfway point in my weightloss journey. We weren't going to go because of 1) the distance...7 hours in the car in one day is TOO much for my poor body - 2 hours is painful! 2) The timing... It is the Saturday of my first week of my new nanny job...the week I have to work 4 days instead of 2 or 3. So, I will already in a LOT of pain, and I have NO pain meds beyond Tylenol and the Lyrica that keeps my nerve pain manageable, but by no means gone... So, hubby and I weighed the pros and cons and decided that we just can't stay home all the time, but have to venture out SOMETIME. This is a chance to catch up with a lot of old friends at once, enjoy the outdoors/beach, and spend some quality time together. All it will cost us is the gas money and I am bringing a few gallon baggies of vegees for a vegee tray that can be refilled as needed... By doing a PI, I can have grilled or fried fish of ANY type (unbreaded), and any low-oxalate vegetable except corn. Then I can just drool over the desserts and pass on them... I will have just over 10 days left on my P2 before the end of the month, so it will work fine. Now, if I can just survive the ride, and not end up at the ER, where they can't really do anything for me short of admitting me and giving me straight morphine (long story, but it's the only pain med that is safe for me genetically that actually helps.) I haven't had to do this with Kaiser yet, so I have NO idea if they would even comply, or just treat me as a "drug seeker". I usually just suffer at home rather than go in because once they label you that way, it follows you forever!

Oh, spider bite is STILL very inflamed and itchy. The red swollen area is now about 6 inches in diameter, but stopped spreading and there is no tissue death. I have lost track of the number of days now, but 4 or more, with no real improvement except for the bite itself is less swollen. I have tried several topical "meds" (thanks for the suggestion, Linderlou!), and nothing works more than about an hour. I even used some "Horse and Rider Roll-On" that has menthol in it and is very easy to apply upside down without getting it on my hands and then in my eyes. It works the best but dries on with a slightly sticky feel. YUK! At this point, it is ONLY a histamine reaction that won't stop. Thanks MCAS! I don't have an allergist at Kaiser, and they haven't accepted my MCAS diagnosis yet, because the doc who diagnosed me was very ill (cancer, but not yet diagnosed at the time), and didn't put the official diagnosis into my chart. I have all the rx for it in my chart from him, which would ONLY be prescribed for it, but...oh well... for now, I am just continuing his treatment plan, with is all now OTC. I just don't have any clue on what to do to shut down this reaction, and unless it goes into full anaphylaxis, I usually just monitor it and rest.

The itching has been keeping me from sleeping, or rather, waking me up over and over again. Because of this, I have been napping off and on for days, getting NOTHING done, and ran out of chicken. My mind is fried, and I forgot to even defrost my last package. I have cooked some flounder, but it is so boring when it is all the protein you eat for days, so I will be happy to just buy fresh from Costco tomorrow and grill a bunch this weekend. Then I will be set again for a long time.

I am going to cook the entire 10 pounds. My son is losing a bit of weight because I am sharing the grilled chicken with him and he is eating grilled chicken salads nearly every day. He would lose even more if he would have it as a meal replacement instead of just an extra snack, but he must be eating less at his next meal because he IS losing a little bit...
