I was up .2 today and suspect it was the pedicure due to all the oils they used. Or I ate too much steak.

PearlyMae, I was hoping for much better news for you! Eesh, you have my total sympathy if you're equating how you feel to that dinosaur picture! Hopefully the meds will help quickly and you'll start feeling better <hugs>

Charliegirl, I've been debating a pedi for hubby and I. I dunno, .2 may be worth it later in the round! Are you feeling good now that you're into week 2? I'm just cruising along, almost done with week 1.

Pearly — Hope you feel better and get plenty of rest. Good luck on your upcoming round!

Blue — Good job on your losses! You are on fire!

April — Certain uncured meats work well for me in P3/P4, but others don’t. Upsets me when I buy an entire pack only to discover it makes me gain. I need to figure out which brand works well for me. I just know I buy it from a health food store.

Oh no! And I need both a mani and pedi. I think I’ll do my own pedicure this time around, and buy let them do my nails... lint make them skip the cuticle oil and lotion.

    My R2 Stats:
    Pre-load: 180
    VLCD 1: (After Load) 183.8
    VLCD 2 & 3: 179.2
    VLCD 4: 177.4
    VLCD 5: 178.0

So I had a slight gain today, week 1 of VLCD. Of course this sucks, because we all know this is the week we lose the most. But, Iím actually okay with it, because in the long-term, I know Iíll lose at least 20 lbs this round. Iím not gonna sweat it. Besides, Iím feeling smaller and lighter by the minute.

Iíve decided to add 1 fruit (because I wasnít doing fruit or Melba) and switch my meat. Was doing fish, but maybe my body is craving a more solid meat. So today, for both of my meals, I had 100g of sirloin (with no fat) with onions. I also enjoyed 1/2 grapefruit, which I think contributed to my burst of energy.

As much as I would like to totally eliminate fruit, Iím seeing a pattern that if I go too many days without any fruit, I feel a little weak. I think itís a blood sugar thing.

Anyway, hoping to having a ďwhooshĒ tomorrow. Iím quick to say my losses have been slow this week, but when I look back at other rounds where I lost 20+ lbs., Iím doing just fine. So, Iíve made a goal to not stress over my day-to-day losses and trust that the HCG is doing its job regardless of what TESS says!

Lovely, thank you! One BIG thing I'm doing different this time around is actually weighing my protein. The last couple of rounds I basically eyeballed it, figuring I knew by heart how much was the right amount. So, I've been putting THAT amount on the scale to double check myself. Geez, I wasn't as close as I thought I was, go figure. Yesterday and today I've actually eaten the Melba toast as well. I haven't done that since my first round, just figured I'd do better without it. For right now, I'm keeping it in. If things slow down too much it'll likely be the first thing I drop. It sounds like you're getting yourself figured out as well. I've kept excel spreadsheets of my previous rounds and love going back and comparing. It helps me to see the trends I have AND see the total loss at the end of each round.

Today is VLCD3, I'm doing injections, 150IU. My losses so far are GREAT, 8.2# gone, that includes load weight. I know I'll be doing a looooooong round, so I'll be here for awhile I tend to stay pretty dang close to the original protocol as well, I'm afraid to stray very far from it, hee hee. It's worked great for me so far so I'm leaving things alone right now.
    Welcome back BlueTech,

I have... let me copy and paste cuz I'll never get it spelled right: bicep/tricep/brachioradialis tendinitis. In both arms. Or, maybe extreme computer elbow would also describe it, but with more tendons than just my elbow involved. I spend several hours a day at my day job on the computer, and another 3 to 5 hours 3 or 4 evenings a week. It has finally gotten to me.

Physical therapy, muscle relaxers RX, maybe lidocaine shots... all coming soon. Meanwhile, I am actually better today. Ibuprofen is my dear friend! I guiltily told the doc I took it 4 tablets at a time, and she said, "Perfect." So will keep eating those every 4-6 hours.

I'm down .6 today, so making progress. Both arms feel 'heavy' so I still have over a pound of imflammation 'water' to drain off somehow!

My plan is to load tomorrow and start P2 on Monday, but I am so super tired from not sleeping (Tight: you are a SUPERHERO!) with this silly thing (move, ouch! wake up, finally fall asleep, REPEAT all night long.) That I may slide at least one day. I have work tomorrow a.m. and again all evening, so unless I do fast food, I don't have time to load. Sunday I have a brunch, so am thinking that is a better day to start. Iv'e been known to do three...

Goodness Pearly ..and BOTH arms...WOW!! Hopefully with meds you can get some good rest and you gotta just baby those arms ...give them timeout so you can bounce back quickly. IBP candy ♥️

Pearly Mae..another round, you go girl. I def needed the break.
Yes uncured meats. i know that Boulder Sausage company makes great cooking stuff, and I thought this would be ok.
As clean as possible so we will see what happens.

two hard boilded eggs for breakfast
lunch was some chicken and some shredded pork a few cucumber and tomato slices
and I had some cucumber for a snack

then dinner was some steak and asparagus. i had over 70 ounces of water and will have some more tonight before bed.
i am having some very dry wine, which I never gain from, so lets see if I can be down a little with this modified more realistic day.
