    Lovely Losers 2018 - DECEMBER'S Decisions!!!

Hello to all of the Lovely Losers out there from Coco (aka sdwis your newest Moderator). Here's your new thread for DECEMBER 2018.

    SPECIAL NOTE:
We all know how challenging it can be if you are on Your Hcg Journey during this time of the year. Everyone else is eating and drinking to excess with no apologies, and could care less about their weight. If you are brave enough to be in the middle of a round, or just finishing a round at the end of the year, here is your encouragment to make your decision to stick with it!!!

This joyful and jubilant group of HCGers have been starting new threads every month for years to prevent people from having to sort through literally thousands of old posts, and making it easier for new people to join in.

Please note as you read through the posts:

We are all in different phases of HCG.
We all use different methods of HCG.
What is right for YOU, is right for YOU and we respect that. We dont judge.
We discuss ALL aspects of our individual journeys to a healthier lifestyle.
And MOST importantly, while we can be a little naughty and nutty (always with humor!! ) we are NICE to each other!!

So, whether you are just starting, finishing or are somewhere in between . . .

    You ARE Welcome!!

I have been cutting back my food intake due to the stress, back down to 154.0 and the scale flashed on 153ish. I decided yesterday to try some phentermine until my next round, just to get through the holidays etc. I really do not want to have to re-lose the weight that I have lost and heck if i can get to where I want before Mid Jan then maybe no new round. We will see what happens. My son has lost 7 pounds in 30 days on it. Of course men are different. He has not been exercising or really changing his food choices, he has just cut back, he is not as hungry so eats less and does not snack and we are hoping in another month he will do about the same. Another busy day..time is just flying by.

I did a chicken thigh day yesterday, after reading the glowing reviews on that thread (linked below). I’m so happy and shocked to report that I dropped 1.8 lbs! I will continue to follow their advice regarding post correction day strategy for the next several days. The Ultimate P3 Correction Day: I Lost 2.6 lbs on a Chicken Thigh Day!!!!!!!!!!

    Great results, GWTC!

April, I hope phenteramine works for you.

AFM, I am in the 2nd week of P3. I did a 2 day correction Thursday / Friday, took off 2 lbs, and I am still down 1.8 lbs (on Sunday).

Some observations on my 5th round: I am T2D, 62 YO, and eat a ketogenic diet to control the diabetes. I used up my last injectable HCG about 1/2 way through the round then switched to drops. I lost 8 lbs, which is more than typical for me. I ate up to 30g fat, 20g carbs, and protein to make up 600 to 700 average daily calories. I took Hair Skin and Nails and liquid B12 supplements, and unlike other rounds, lost no hair but lost more off my waist than expected. Over 17 months and 5 rounds, I lost 40 lbs, from 14 to size 6. Before HCG, I would lose a few pounds on the various diets I tried, but couldn't keep it off.

    Hi GWTC,

I hadn't seen the blog posts on CTD / PCDS before, so thanks for posting those links. Last week, I did a pre-correction day that was almost exactly like PCDS; I am going to try the PCDS recommendation next time I need a correction.

Since this CTD / PCDS strategy works so well for you, maybe think about low carb / keto as your future way of eating. It works very well for me, particularly because I am type 2 diabetic and don't want to take the medications.

Also, for various calculations of recommended weight, BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, etc, see
BMI-calculator.net - it has them all!

For tracking, I use FatSecret.com or the app, it's free, has a huge database, and an active, supportive forum.

For recipe calculations, I use recipes.sparkpeople.com

AFM, I did a Steak Day correction last week and I am still in my window; but it's always good to have other tools in the box. I'm going to stock up on chicken thighs when I next go to the store.

Yesterday I did rug and floor cleaning and exhausted myself, too much added exercise for P3. After this week (I start P4 next Monday), I'm going to add exercise back into my life. I have been sedentary too long!

    Happy Monday,

    Lynne

    Good Morning Lovelies,

GWTC: That is such great news on your P3 loss! I'm so sorry to not be savvy, but is there another link besides the chicken thigh link to the Post Correction Day Strategy (PCDS)? Is sit possible that you could re-post the links and any other links you like? Thank you I would so appreciate that when I eventually get to P3.

Lynn: Great job staying in the window! You and GWTC give me hope for P3. Thanks also for the reminder about FatSecret.com. I have been using MyFitnessPal.com but could use an upgrade perhaps. I suggest walking! I really enjoy it and try to fit in steps when I can. I often go for 5-10 minute walks. I also "housewalk" by stepping in place while I brush my teeth, pacing while on the phone, etc. I track my steps just on my old iphone with the "health app". Nothing fancy but it works, and you can gradually increase your steps so as to not shock your system.

AFM: I could sure use some advice! I woke up today here in mid round of P2 to a .6 lb GAIN! Honestly I have been so completely POP this weekend even though I have been fighting a cold/flu for a week. Since I was so POP I was expecting a DROP in weight! The only thing I can think of is that usually I have been weighing myself at 10:45 AM when I have finally gotten my lazy butt out of bed for good and today weighed in at 7 AM... Any ideas as to what could be the reason for this? Thanks! I am trying not to PANIC ugh.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    Hi RK,

Cold = inflammation = weight gain

I suggest a nap - wear sweats to get your body temp up; a hot bath; Vitamin C 1000 to 2000 mg several times per day; and lots of water.

Try this link: The blog has 2 pages of entries, the earlier "chapters" are on Page 2. Also, it's easier to navigate the desktop site, I go to settings and click the box (Android).

Hope that works - and that you feel better soon!

RK, a cold can cause a gain due to inflammation. Also I’m usually up if I weigh in earlier than normal. So try not
    to panic yet!

This is the thread with all of the info about the chicken thigh correction day:
The Ultimate P3 Correction Day: I Lost 2.6 lbs on a Chicken Thigh Day!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the blog post from the same
member that started the thread linked above:
    https://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforum...2-6-lbs-16708/

At the bottom of each of her blog entries, you can click the link to the next chapter. She has a lot of info and I highly suggest reading it all. I read it all a few times! This post in particular helps with the PCDS but there is info in the chapters prior, as well as after that are super helpful:
    https://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforum...-ch-6-a-16717/

I highly suggest reading all of the chapters. I read them a few times and took screen shots of the pertinent info, so that I can reference them easily in the notes on my phone.

Gz, it is very interesting to me that you also have autoimmune and also respond well to keto. When you’re not actively
trying to lose, or when you are maintaining, what % of carbs do you eat? Just curious. I’ve never ever considered keto, although I’ve done low carb, it’s nowhere near as low as keto.

    Hi GWTC,

I don't know if I am autoimmune; I have heard my problem called insulin resistance, pre-diabetic, type 2 diabetic, and metabolic syndrome. (It's easier to just say T2D). My arthritis is bio-mechanical - my kneecaps don't sit correctly, which leads to cartilage wear and loss.

I limit my carbs to 20 g per day, basically it's Atkins induction phase. I'm not too rigid, will go over my limits some days, sometimes have a glass of wine.

Charts for my height and weight show I should eat about 70 g per day of protein. After that, fats to satiety. I also limit total calories.

It's not difficult to do. Whole, unprocessed foods; no starches or sugars.

I started HCG in late July 2017, then transitioned to keto. Within 4 months, I had lost 30 lbs (mostly from 2 HCG rounds) and my A1c was back in the normal range.

I mostly kept the weight off, but I am still 2 lbs above my goal weight. So I'll keep working it!

    Good luck,

    Lynne

    Good Morning Lovelies,

GWTC: Thank You for the links! I have copied them for when I hit the P3 world.
HI Lynne, Glad we are all three here ha ha.

AFM: Back down a bit so good news. It probably was as you both stated, inflammation and weighing myself earlier...now that I am back to getting up earlier and working full days. I am planning on doing a Planned Interruption in a week or so as we have a family trip to Las Vegas...It helps me to have something to push towards, I think it will keep me headed in the right direction on our trip and also to know that I will jump back on the P2 wagon when I get back before heading into P3.
