Talking LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - Hotter than JULY!!!!

Hello to all of the HOT Lovely Losers out there from Coco (aka sdwis your newest Moderator). Here's your new thread for JULY 2018.

As mentioned a few weeks ago, I will now be covering this topic as Christy has done so well for such a long time.

This joyful and jubilant group of HCG’ers have been starting new threads every month for years to prevent people from having to sort through literally thousands of old posts, and making it easier for new people to join in.

Please note as you read through the posts:

    • We are all in different phases of HCG.
    • We all use different methods of HCG.
    • What is right for YOU, is right for YOU and we respect that. We don’t judge.
    • We discuss ALL aspects of our individual journeys to a healthier lifestyle.
    • And MOST importantly, while we can be a little naughty and nutty (always with humor!! ) we are NICE to each other!!

So, whether you are just starting, finishing or are somewhere in between . . .

    You ARE Welcome!!

    Protocol: P2.0, VLCD 18

There it is! Thank you both, Sdwis and Leez!

I'm still chugging along. Down another Point 4. I can't decide whether to go ahead and cycle off at 21 days, or wait until I stop losing regularly. Decisions, Decisions.

Leez, I think you know this: How long after taking hcg before I can take annual blood work with no effect? I have heard others speak of it, but, you know, I'm pretty self involved. LOL. If it doesn't pertain to me at the time, I don't retain!

(Yikes, I did my homework and searched the thread for blood work. I did indeed find an answer by Leez. You said SIX WEEKS after hcg. Is that still what you think? That messes me up big time. I need to get my annual stuff done, but I wanted to get back to a my normal weight and normal eating habits first.)

BTW, for those who have been confused by my mentioning tuna, eggs, etc. my apologies. I got out of the habit Christy advised to put the protocol we follow at the top of my posts. I do 2.0, on which eggs and tuna are perfectly fine and on protocol. It is a higher protein, lower carb version of the original. I think the protocol asks for less than 30 carbs a day and most people who follow it try for under 20. That lets out fruit, but as long as I count the carbs and end up under 30, I can have my carbs in any form I want. Not donuts... carb count on ONE is way over, so one does have to be sensible. However, I occasionally have an apple, as long as the rest of my carbs that day are very low, like nothing but lettuce!

There is a formula for how many protein calories a day, and it also requires low fat. I call it my low fat, low carb, low food diet. LOL. But, actually, other than keeping carbs to a minimum, the hardest part is getting enough protein calories in daily. I know I don't lose if I don't make that number, as my body gets skeereed that I am starving it and holds on tight. When I hit that number a few days in a row, the losses start again.

Preaching to the choir on this to most, cuz this has been around for a while, and is not the latest and greatest new protocol (That would be the keto-assisted hcg that I can't seem to get through my head!) but for those who were shocked by eggs or tuna, it's all good.

    Onward!

I eat eggs on hcg and I follow pretty much protocol. I did not know about tuna, interesting.

Hello! My name is Cynthia. I did one round of HCG a couple years back and it worked really well for me. I lost about 18 lbs but never did another round and slowly slipped from maintenance back to my old eating habits. So, I'm now back to my old weight and fed up. I've made a firm commitment to get the weight off and keep it off so here I am.

I did my Phase 1 loading days on June 29th & 30th but my scale batteries were dead so I didn't weigh myself those two days. The last time I weighed myself was a few days earlier and I was 220 lbs. Here are my current weigh-ins, post loading

    July 1: 221
    July 2: 218

I'm 5'9" and my goal is to get down to 160 lbs and stay there. If I manage to go lower then that would be awesome but 160 seems to be an acceptable weight for my height.

Thanks in advance for the support and encouragement!

I have never had a problem with eggs in P2. I just found it gave me some variety. I am getting pretty tired of food right now and so want some chicken thighs over breasts. Only 8 more days of injections and then my 72 hours..Friday I will chicken thighs and a huge salad for lunch, with mixed veggies and red wine vinegar and oil..yeah..
Also some eggs for breakfast with veggies. cannot wait.
Oh..most importantly a glass of dry red wine.

LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - Hotter than JULY!!!!

    Hi Y’all!

So I was feeling pretty good on Sunday after my first spin class in about 6 months. Came home and decided that I would finally hop on the scale and see where I was at. I was thinking/hoping that I’d be somewhere around 158-159 because I felt like I looked pretty good. I was very surprised to see 164!!! That means when I started this round I had to have been over 170. Which is definitely the heaviest I have ever been. LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - Hotter than JULY!!!! so at least now I know where I’m at.

Ive eaten pretty much POP today, but haven’t had much water. Wonder if 5:30 pm is too late to start pounding water??? I’m going to repeat my lunch of chopped lettuce, sprinkle of purple onions and shredded chicken breast I cooked in the instant pot with some water and seasoning. I really want to get down into the mid 150’s, which is another 10 pounds. Ugh.

Glad to hear your P3 is going so well Shmeans!! That’s great. LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - Hotter than JULY!!!!

Pearly, if you stick it out awhile longer, I’ll be here with you. LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - Hotter than JULY!!!!

Christy! So good of you to pop in. Hopefully we’ll see more of you when you and St. Jim start your round.

April- I eat eggs and tuna also. I follow HCG 2.0 too. (As do quite a few others...)

Welcome Cynthia, looks like we’re about the same height. I am 5’-9.5” Good luck on your round.

    Here are my stats
    VLCD 1 178.6 (I was like 176.6 before load)
    VLCD 2 175.6
    VLVD 3 173. 6
    VLCD 4 172.8
    VLCD 5 171.2
    VLCD 6 170.3
    VLCD 7 169.3
    VLCD 8 168.9
    VLCD9 168.8
    VLCD 10 167.8
    VLCD 11 168.1
    VLCD 12 167.1
    VLCD 13 166.6
    VLCD 14 164.9
    VLCD 15 164.9
    VLCD 16 164.3

down a little. down is down. 9 more days of injections and then transitioning and it will be where it is. I am hoping for 6 more pounds. I playing tennis tonight, then tomorrow going to the pool. I am feeling good with the not drinking stuff and I am pretty sure I can go without it. No problem. It is a nice feeling to know that I don't have to drink. I am too close to the 150's to mess it up now and I don't have as much time as I thought. This round has gone pretty quick. That is awesome that some of you can do the 2.0. I have always had eggs on rounds and never been bothered by them. I have had cottage cheese this round and just did not move that day. I am not sure I am willing to do Tuna..maybe albacore would be ok for me. I am looking forward to the freedom of P3. I enjoy P3. I am in such a different place than I was the last go around and I was successful for years maintaining. At that time weighing every day became an obsession and I was too emotionally attached to it all. I ended those rounds at 128 and remained there for years. I think it just slowly creeped back up. I stopped weighing and then I was stressed and bam..here I am.

sandi...why would you want to get on the scale in the middle of the day and after your muscles are full of water after an intense work out. Our bodies are going to fluctuate during the day. You on a PI aren't you? Or on P3? I would see what it looks like this morning and it is never too late to chug some water. After a work out like that, take a really hot epsom salt bath, it will help those muscles and help draw out the water retained...and it will feel good.

if you feel you look good then you probably do.

I have always weighed in after I get home from the gym/yoga studio, because I feel like I have sweated out about 2 pounds of water. (My yoga classes are HOT, and I walk out of there with wet clothes that I can literally wring out.) it’s usually around 10:30 am when I get home.

I am still on P2! I decided to just bring my prefilled syringes with me to Mexico and try as best I could. There were a few margaritas, and I know some fat snuck in on my grilled fish, but overall I think I weathered it ok. Since I’ve been home I’ve stuck to plan and now that I’ve finally weighed in, I’ll be able to keep track of my progress.

My favorite tuna is the solid white albacore in water from Costco. The Kirkland brand in the blue/white can. I like it better than the name brand. Big huge chunk of fish, not shredded stuff.

You look like your doing really well this round! I admire your will power!
