I'm on Week 4 of P3, and have been losing a pound a day for the past 3 days. However, it's been unintentionally. T1ghtwad confirmed that it's generally okay if you lose without trying, but I'm not sure about losing on purpose. In my case, digestive enzymes is the culprit.

April -- Glad you got in touch with your son. Congratulations on the tennis match, and welcome OFFICIALLY to P3! Tennis is my favorite sport. I play every Sunday with family, except when I'm on P2, because it really does drain me. Wish I had the stamina you do. But I know what you mean about playing with less weight on your body. Makes things so much easier!

I think I have had some pregnancy symptoms with HCG, but that is usually in the beginning and if my dose is too high.

How cool is it for you to have a partner to do HCG with! Everyone I know doesn't have the discipline to even try!!!

Dropped 3 lbs overnight...added cheese to steak and tomato day.

Had an A Hah moment last night while searching "to many steak day during P3/P4 I found this Steak & Cheese Day that relates to water retention. I'm pretty certain water retention has played a role in me going over the 2 lb mark but wasn't sure how to fix it other than drink more water.

Retention of water, known as hungerĖedema, occurs when an adequate amount of protein is not eaten. The treatment is simple.

STEAK & CHEESE DAY: The person is told to eat two eggs for breakfast and a huge steak for lunch and dinner followed by a large helping of cheese. When this treatment is followed, two lbs. can vanish overnight, the swollen ankles are normal but sleep was disturbed, owing to an
extraordinary need to pass large quantity

Adding more protein daily to see if that can stop the steak day cycle

The protein day cure for hunger edema is in Dr. S's book Pounds and Inches. Hope you find the perfect balance to avoid your steak day cycle. I was just going through that last week, but have thankfully gotten out of it!!! Congrats on your 3 lb. loss!

Yes..I love playing. I am a 4.0 and play league in the summer so I was not going to let HCG get in my way.

I find I lose the weight but donít drop in clothing sizes. Iíve never made it past a couple weeks in P3 before finding it I was pregnant! Iíve done this twice now. Technically three but thatís another story.

Having said that do you find that as you lose weight you also drop sizes or does that come later. Iím 5í1 and 198lbs if that changes things. This has always been my starting point for my weight.

    Hi Kristy,

So glad you finally received your injections so you could get started. I am not what you call a patient person - the lineup to get some, took too long so I went shopping ! *lol*

I'm new so don't have any answers to your questions, but I'm here to support you in any way that I can.

I'm currently on VLCD 4 and up a pound because of TOM. Distressing to say the least, but understandable and in a few days I hope to be back on track and showing losses.

Wishing you well and again, so glad your supplies have arrived and you can join this amazing group of women.

    Cheers,

    Kimberly

LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - Hotter than JULY!!!!

    P2.0 transitioning to P3.

Very interesting stuff on protein. On 2.0 My protein goal is 525 calories. On days when I was short, I rarely had much of a loss the next day. It doesnít sound like it would be hard but days when I had tuna and chicken breast I had to add an egg to get up there. Or have 6-7 ounces of chicken instead of 3 or 4. Without eating more veggies and upping my carbs.

Stick a fork in me, Iím done! Iíve been bouncing up and down between 136.6 and 137.6 all for nine days. my net loss for week four is .6 pounds. Woopee.

I ran the numbers and I can keep going like this and maybe lose a pound or two a week if Iím lucky and get to goal around the end of August. Or I can take a three week break and come back again and probably lose the same amount of weight by the end of August. That is if a three week break is enough to get me back to a good first and second week. Worth a try because this is nuts to stay on the same pound for nine days.

I am going to have surgery but not until September and my doctor recommended I just get to the weight I want to ďlive atď and had no problem with me being 125. I thought maybe I should save a few pounds to heal with and he did not think I needed to. Not that serious of a surgery just some reconstruction following breast cancer three years ago. Some stuff ended up in the wrong place and I am finally going to get that fixed.

So, I am in transition and made sure I got my protein in first thing this morning! I took the day off to mow lawns, catch up laundry, clean out drawers, etc. I have to work Sunday so I needed a day to do that kind of stuff.

    On and on and onward!

So today starts P2D1. I'm very excited. Started at 197.4. Goal for this long round is 30+ pounds. I really REALLY want to hit 160-165. So I decided to do MIC and HCG with B12 to better my chances. I find that I'm all over heavy and doesn't just show in one place. So losing 30lbs will be like 5 in the face,5 on the arms and so on, so that is likely why I don't lose sizes as quickly. I would LOVE TO HIT size 12. Right now I'm in a 16. Let's see how it goes.

A couple questions for you ladies. 1-MIC-they have me taking 50 units (a full syringe) and said in hip or butt. I did butt today and it HURT. Can I do it in the stomach like my HCG?
2-Calories-I find that I normally hit under 400 calories a day if I do a serving size, not anywhere near 500. So should I up my protein a little to add more calories-so instead of 3 or 3.5 oz, maybe 4?

mrsp-I get migraines without caffine so I started drinking monster zero. It really helps. I drink mine at breakfast and water all day after that. It helps with morning hunger (b/c I'm chugging liquids) and it prevents those gosh awful headaches.

April-Tennis is a huge workout. I tried a few years ago to get my teenage daughter more active and told her to pick a sport. She thought and said tennis b/c they don't move a lot. Oh I laughed and laughed and laughed. Sadly we couldn't find a local team for her to join.

Lovely-way to go on losing still! That is great your body is finally doing what it should be!

Jessie-all I can say is YUM! My favorite foods there. Cheese and Steak!

Pearly-I'm sorry you need to have surgery but am guessing you'll be thrilled with the results. Way to go on knocking that cancer out!

Kim-Thank you for your support. This will be a great round for both of us!
Starting new in 2020-somewhere around 190lbs. We will see when I get the meds where I start.

Morning ladies... at least it is here on the West Coast of British Columbia.

I've just read through all of the posts and am now caught up. My intention was to reply to each one, but I seem to get lost in trying to keep all of the details straight. At least right now, but I know its because I'm crazy busy at work, so I'm ok with it. I just hope even if I don't answer, each of you know that I'm reading and supporting, even from a distance.

Today is VLCD 4 for me and I'm up 1 pound - to 172.8. Its day 2 for TOM and from what I've read this can be expected. Not fun, but none the less I'm hoping in a few days that the weight portion will get back on track and start heading the other day.

I keep getting asked what my goal weight is and while I have said 140, that's not really it. I'm not sure what the exact number is, but I feel it is something I will know when I get there. I know for sure its not more than 140, but I would honestly like less, but don't know what is realistic for this age or stage in life.

While I do love my mom, I have no intention of looking exactly like her - and that is exactly what happened last year and what inspired this new part of my journey. She had me at 19, so the older I get, the more we seem to look alike... We went shopping and were wearing the same size.... then I happened to see us in pictures... almost identical except she has a beautiful natural grey colour, she's had since she was 21, while I remain a brunette, thanks to my lovely hairdresser. *lol*

To be honest, I think I'm also checking in here today because I know I have a really tough day ahead client wise. I'm a trauma counsellor and I specialize in complex trauma - whether it be developmental (from a young age) or situational i.e.: repeated/multiple events etc., Every case today involves a murder, suicide or accidental death - all recent and all young people involved. I love what I do, but sometimes and perhaps its because its also TOM time, I just need a break and "safe place" where my work isn't present, to ease a bit more gently into my day.

I think my pups also know its a tough day ahead as they're super close - Sherlock & Watson are their names (and suit them each perfectly *lol*). I'm trying to train them to be therapy dogs, but they are Yorkies with pretty strong ideas of their own... so it may not actually happen.... *lol*

Anyhow, thanks for being a safe place I can start my morning, share my weight release questions and concerns, while being a place I can offer support and listening to others....

You guys are each so incredible and I wish only the best for each of us on our journey...

It's my birthday on Sunday, so I'm going to stay on track for the weekend. I'm not a big birthday person in general, so avoiding cake etc., won't be a problem - I hope. But other people seem to think 50 is a big deal. I'm happy to be 50 as so many don't make it to this age, but for me its more about what I do with myself for this entire year. Who am I, who will I be during this year, how will I make the most of it vs. it just being about one specific day.

Anyways... thanks again for everything.. I really enjoy reading all of the posts and getting to know each of you better.

I hope to be back later today and over the weekend, but in case I don't - I hope you guys have an amazing weekend and the pounds and inches continue to be released for each of you, no matter what phase...

    Cheers,

    Kimberly

    Ok new questions lol.

I just spoke to the folk at diet doc. They suggest I do 550 cals with 30 net grams of carbs and 85 grams of protein. And you have 8 hours from the time to you start eating in your day to the time you finish eating in your day-so if I start with egg whites at 10 am my meals must be completed by 6pm...Is anyone else following DD's protocol? I've never done that one but they say the weigh loss results are the same with the OP. Any thoughts on this?

Also, they're moving me down to 15 units instead of 20. Does anyone know how to do the math to see how many units I should get out of a 5000 unit vial? I am thinking I'll end up close to 60 days but heck, I have no real idea...

Your doing fantastic!! I've been very curious about your digestive enzymes ...I may try them to see what happens naturally. I was contemplating on trying to lose during maintenance and I had remind myself to not go back into the " diet" mode. If my body went under the 2 lb without dieting I would be doing a happy LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - Hotter than JULY!!!!!! Your posts regarding doing the enzymes when testing the foods is a really good idea/information. Thank you for putting it out there!!

Thank you! I completely missed hunger edema and didn't know it was a thing. It feels good to know this may be my issue and there is a solution. Time will tell ...fingers crossed
