April, congrats on staying smack on LIW. Woot!

Shout out to everyone! Clothes sizes! Bleh. Marilyn Monroe wore a size 12. in today's sizes, that would probably be an 8! So it really is just an abstract number! Remember size 7-8 and 9-10? Do those even exist anymore? "Junior sizes" from my youth and I was always a 9-10. NEVER, even at 110 pounds, a 7-8. So wearing a 6 today, is NOT the 6 from a 5-6. It is probably closer to the 12 in an 11-12! Sigh. It is just a number. It is just a number.

Speaking of just a number, I am down another point 4. In P3, this is just a 'fluctuation' but for once, the right kind. Again, part of the Week 4 losses that were not showing up last week and frustrating me so. Not much movement on the measuring tape, even though it WAS moving last week when the scale was NOT, so it really is Just A Number (Henceforth: JAN). But, it is a nice number and helps a LOT.

I thought I had caught up on sleep and was rested yesterday. Ha. That lasted until about 12:30 when I hit a wall and wanted to slide down. I had to get through the rest of the workday, and drove home like a zombie. I put veggies and chicken in the oven and took a nap while they baked, which made it possible for me to get a 4-hour freelance session in, but boy was I glad when I hit the last send button. So far, better today. Hope I can make it until 2 or 3!

The thing is, this upcoming surgery, for which I don't even have a date yet, but expecting it in September, is not a big deal, but I have been warned that the only real drawback is exhaustion. And I EAT BAD STUFF when I am tired. So, I will really, really have to plan ahead to keep decent food in the house so I don't just order a pizza when I am too tired to shop or cook. Much to think about.

Perlymae: in regards to the surgery, could you prep things that you can just pop out of the freezer and put in the oven. I think it usually takes about 30-40 minutes for a pizza to get to my house, make something that can be baked in about that time. Also, love my instant pot. I just throw things in and in several minutes i have stuff.

When I had my back surgery, I was down for over a year, and 16 weeks for my hysterectomy (complications and slow healing from the Ehlers Danlos)... In both cases, it was VERY helpful to have a freezer full of prepared meals, and dear friends who delivered meals the first 2 weeks home. My 14 year old son was taught how to be a bachelor as part of his homeschool the year before my major surgery (cooking/cleaning/laundry/ironing), and he really pulled a lot of the load for a while, but I must have cooked 5 turkeys and 60 pounds of roast and had all the meat pre-cooked and chopped/shredded for casseroles and burritos. It really made it easy to have freshly prepared meals for the whole family when the meat was already cooked. My kids HATED dealing with raw meat (hehe!) This is bringing back fun memories...

As for me, VLCD13, down 10.9 (another 0.8). Back to my spinal fusion weight (2008). Last time I weighed this amount was after a few rounds of hhcg in 2013. Just found some old medical records and I was off a year in my estimate of when I did the protocol before (2012/2013, not 2011/2012). I had gained it all back over the years, but this time I am determined to maintain my losses! Eagerly anticipating the "two-teens" this weekend or next week!

Total loss since January is now 50.6, including a little over 2 pounds loading weight from initial round (These couple of pounds are not including in my ticker below). I am no longer including loading weight in my rounds so that I don't keep counting the same pounds over again. I try to keep my starting weight about the same as my LDW from the previous round each time, but it's the big picture that I am happy to focus on when I am in a stall.

Making vegetable soup for my daughter, who came home from her Mandarin Regional Convention in Mira Loma (California) with a bad cold, and a big stir-fry for hubby and son. While prepping those, I am also setting aside my allotted/allowed vegetables for my simmered vegetable/grilled chicken skillet. Dear daughter was going to cook tonight, so I was not expecting to do all this prep work, but it is not often I get to "baby" my little girl anymore, so I don't mind.

I was up all night though...up until 6 a.m. and then slept until noon. We have our janitorial account tonight, so I will get a little activity in and then hopefully be able to sleep on a normal schedule again!

Hi t1htwad Thank you for thinking of me! It seems like my body is finally stabilizing at my LIW. Thank goodness because I was starting to second guess everything. Good to see your loses are happening

ok..I am pretty sure this must be one of the straightest line, week one's. I have added in olive oil, butter, avocado and handful or almonds, some cheese crackers (only made of cheese) , parmesan cheese on a salad, feta, zucchini, broccoli, red wine and fattier meats. I am going to look into brussel sprouts on Thursday. Tonight i am going to a wine bar and I am sure I can find something. I think I am going to stay away from the cured meats for now. I think I want to try to add in a dry white wine this week as well. My wine club sent me some new stuff that I would like to try.

Thanks for the information. So many people are saying the 72 hours is part of P3, but I have always counted from the first day of adding in food also, but after 6 years your mind gets fuzzy and you cannot remember all the details. It sounds like everyone is doing well.

Roni, I think def. finding yourself a treat is a good thing. i hope the money stuff settles down soon, nothing like stress to impact weight loss, but it sounds like it is not impacting yours.

PearlyMae, so glad you transitioned and are feeling good about those clothes. I am with you, nothing feels better than things fitting right.

Kimberly: I lost 18 pounds and some of my older stuff fits now, but my current stuff still fits they are just baggy. I know it is hard to not lose clothes sizes but I think if you held the weight in a certain spot longer it might take longer for those inches to leave. Your body is taking away the newest, less stubborn stuff first. it is funny but I think my feet got thinner. I find that my boots are looser. Now who would have thought I would gain weight in my feet.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.
You did an EXCELLENT job for Week One of P3. You’re off to a great start with stabilizing for sure!

Great job on your continued losses! And 50.6 lbs since January is EPIC! Only half the year is gone! Keep up the good work, love!

Still below the 2lb mark. Went out with friends and i think that there was a little jam on the charcuterie and I had a few bites of the cured meat, which I was not going to do and did anyways. I also have not had a bowel movement in many days, took something and nothing (this is something that usually works really well for me). I am hoping a nice clean day will drop that back to my LIW. I think the body reshaping is happening in P3 though because I feel better than ever and I am getting a lot of compliments. So that is nice. Looking forward to my next round in Sept. I have already cleared my calendar for it and it will be nice to get these other pounds off before Thanksgiving.

Busy at work these days, with more contract work to be done. Next week we are hosting two girl teen golfers for a The Girls Junior America Cup being hosted at our golf club. I am excited and will have to get some breakfast items in the house and make sure the guest area is up to speed for them. It will be fun for my teen boys to have to be on their best behavior with girls in the house.

Thank you for thinking of me tlghtwad It looks like I'm finally stabilizing. I dropped under LIW shortly after adding cheese to my last steak day and my weight seems to be sticking. Finally! It took about 6 weeks and I was losing confidence. Makes me wonder if my body was working through a prior set point.

Hope have great losses and a super day

Thanks for the ideas, Lovelies. I make a lot of casseroles for my sister's family, but I tend to take fresh vegetables and put them with whatever protein I have and either simmer in chicken or beef broth (unsalted) in a skillet (Tight, sound like we make the same thing!) or bake with a tiny drizzle of avocado oil. So not sure that kind of thing would freeze.

Last night I roasted a handful of green beans, a few stalks of asparagus, part of a top of a ****ake mushroom, two slices of onion, and a handful of grape tomatoes. Had that with some leftover turkey and half an avocado. Sooo good. I think my solution is more about shopping.

I need to make lists of ingredients to keep on hand that will be easy to turn into a few go-to meals easily. I can even order them online and do pick up, if I just get myself organized. I always laugh that I should just take the receipt from the last trip to the grocery store and say, I'll take the same, please. But I know when I fall off the wagon, it is not so much that I can't cook. It is that I let myself run out of stuff and then don't have the energy to both shop AND cook. And I have a Dominos 6 blocks away so can get a pizza in 10-15 minutes during the dinner hour when they just go ahead and have them half baked and ready. Danger, Will Robinson!

I don't have to feed anyone else, though I make a meal or two and take to my sister most weekends. She may have to feed herself for a while! (Or more likely, I will stockpile some casseroles in my freezer and dole them out.)

I am keeping an eye out for meals I like and will be easy to assemble. I usually throw all the veggies in a skillet and simmer, then add the meat, cooked separately. But this week I have been putting it all in the oven and I have to say, that is easier! For one thing, I can take a nap while it bakes. LOL. And I often make two servings and have the second one the next night.

This is not something I will recover from in a week or two, but like Tight, it will be on-going for a while, and then take weeks to months to get back to normal. It is what it is, so I just want to be mindful and not fall into the Donuts and Pizza and Fries, Tra-La mindset I usually get when sick/tired.

I'm back up a bit, but only up the 'down' from yesterday. Dang it. I LIKED that down! Manana!

pearlymae: sounds good..yes I think my king soopers as a quick click or something like that where you just put in what you want and pick it up. I like the idea but like picking out my own veggies.
