Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - ON IT in OCTOBER!!!

  1. #133
Hi all...newbie from Ontario. I find all these posts super helpful and informative. I am on my first round and cannot believe the scale is moving. Started:
    D1 157.8
    D2 159.2
    D3 160.4
    VLCD D4 157.4
    VLCD D5 156
    VLCD D6 155
    VLCD D7 154
    VLCD D8 153
    VLCD D9 153
Is not losing weight on one day considered a stall? I also just finished TOM today. I don't find I am hungry but craved sweets like crazy last night. So I threw some frozen blueberries in a pot with water and stevia and reduced it. Put it on melba toast lol. Reminded me of munchies in university...where you would eat things you normally wouldn't...lol. I am convinced that is why no weight loss. Is blueberries considered a cheat? I know strict protocol doesn't have it on the list but my BFF (internet) said it was added as one of the fruits later...conflicting info out there. Anyone eat blueberries for P2?

First off - love your bff (internet) - never heard that one before - hilarious!

Second - no, a stall consists of several days in a row with no loss (my brain is saying four, but I'm sure someone on here will correct that).

Third - it depends on who you ask. Someone who is rigorous about the original protocol or someone who has tried some of the newer versions out there. I don't think it's unusual to have a no loss day at that time, but it could be due to the change in menu. I wouldn't sweat it. See what tomorrow brings. If you try it again at a later time and you don't lose, then you will know it's not for you on P2.

I might stop weighing so often then. It sure discourages me when I hit very small or no losses.

    Round 2
    Starting Weight 165.3 (after load)
    LIW 149.4
    First 24 hours 149.4
    Second 48 hours 149.9
    P3 begins week 1 149.5, 149.5, 149.9, 150.9

I wondered if the gyro meat I had on my salad may have something on it, but I wanted so figured I would deal with it. I am up 1.5 above LIW but I am ok. Today is going to be super clean and no wine etc. I feel good and I am not worried. I also had bought a ton of nuts and stuff from my niece and was bummed that the third ingredient in the dry roasted almonds was sugar..WTF. Oh well. My family has a lot of nuts and fun stuff and she got her personal badge which is important to her.

I am in the middle of appealing my kids suspensions. It has been a tough week, but we are getting through it. I thought my youngest could go back to school on Wed, but the letter we got indicates he can go back to school Tuesday and we have a re-entry meeting on Tuesday. The school AP was really nice when I spoke to her on the phone, but I think that this event may have caused some tension. I had heard that there was some people upset about how the whole thing went down and the police involvement and I am not sure if she is now trying to defend her actions. I read her bio and she seems more like a academic than a person who has had a lot of experience working with people. I find that my background when it comes to working with these people sometimes intimidates them, as I have more experience working with at risk people and therefore she has to be on her game. I don't care, but I notice that I am well aware and I can challenge them, so they are not as friendly when they find that out. Oh well.. we will continue to appeal the suspensions and move through this process. I will say I have not turned to any bad food choices during it, so that is good.

if you do not lose for over 4 days then it is stall..sometimes it is just your body catching up.

Sounds like you are well armed to fight your battle with your knowledge, I hope it all goes well. I wouldn't worry about the weight as part of it can even be stress related right, our bodies are soo weird. You were so very consistent in your last P3/P4 that I have all the confidence in the world it will drop right off again.

Might be a good tactic. I normally weigh almost daily for years and it really can play a mind game on you.

Welcome...I'm a fellow Canadian I just transplanted to Texas 2.5 years ago. I didn't eat berries on P2 just apples but that was what was readily available. Depends on whether you want to be strict protocol or 2.0 or whatever. Personally my opinion is whatever you can stick with is what you should do.

Blue - summer disappears so quickly, seems like one day it is there and then bam its fall.

AFM - sitting 4 pounds over LIW but slowly ticking downward again. I don't have to travel for hockey this weekend so plan on chilling out at my place and enjoying a quiet weekend (well not really quiet have to work on my hobby business) while hubz and Lexi are in Dallas. Xavier has a bday party and will be out of the house for most of Saturday and the terrible mom in me is quite happy for the alone time

April, to heck if they're intimidated! You just keep fighting for your boys, that's what moms do. The experience you have would certainly help your confidence dealing with them given the situation. 1.5# up is nothing at this point, either. Put that behind you and just keep doing what you're doing.

AFM, P4D20 and holding firm at 173.8# precisely 1# over LIW. I'll take that any day. This has been my easiest P3 and P4 ever. I can only hope my next round is like this, wow. I'm definitely planning P2 for a week or so after we get back to FL. I thought of using Thanksgiving as my loading days, I dunno. Still wavering on that one LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - ON IT in OCTOBER!!!

    Good morning!

I'm down .5 today and over 16 lbs - YAY!! Also, TODAY IS MY LAST LOW CALORIE DAY!!!!!! Sorry to yell at you all. I'm excited. Can you tell? I honestly feel great and could keep going (isn't that the way it goes when you can't keep going). But, on the flip side I'm really happy to move on to the next phase. I miss being out in the world and socializing. I avoid it like the plague when in phase 2 so it'll be nice to eat out and get back into life again. I plan to introduce more food slowly but for sure tomorrow will be eggs an bacon in the am. Hopefully, I'll wake up to a small to medium size loss tomorrow to finish this round off right and give me some padding.

It's another cold day - it was 32 degrees when I got up. It's a good day to wear a warm sweater and maybe have fire in the fireplace tonight.

For those thinking of weighing less than daily, try it. What do you have to lose? (Except weight, right?) LOL. I obsess when I weigh in daily so I've found less often works better for me. I usually sneak in some bedtime weigh ins to make sure it's coming off but only chart when I do morning weigh ins. I've found it helps me not get so bummed when I see gains and no loss days.

Happy Friday to you all. Have great weekends! I'll see ya back here next week.

Hi everyone. I've decided not to weigh until Monday, but I'm still reading everyone's posts - it helps me so much.

Good luck, April. Such a maddening situation, but you sound knowledgeable and in control of yourself in all the frustration and there is power in that.

Wow Jen. Done already. Congrats on such a good round!

I hope everyone has an easy and enjoyable weekend!

I think with the weigh-ins to do what works for you. I think I am going to try to stick with daily weigh-in's so I can make sure I clean it up quicker. I don't want to get too confident for me that can happen and then I have a put on a few pounds. I think for me I need to weigh in daily, so I can say..oh look I am up a bit...better make some different choices today.
