April, you remind me of my sister: She is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to her kiddos! Lots of challenges, each kid has their own. But she is unstoppable and does not take NO. You go get 'em, girlfriend! Just as we have to be our own advocates in health care, with kids, MOM has to be constantly on guard duty!

Okay, I am reallllly tired of complaining about my stupid sickness. I'm FINE! Just crappy. Today went to the dr AGAIN... (4th doctor who has seen me for bronchitis...or is it 5th?) This is VIRAL, I can take antibiotics until I turn into a little striped pig, and I will still have to just wait it out! But this doc gave me a sample inhaler with steroids in it. I had mentioned I have a love hate thang with steroids--love how they hit so fast (and how you get your garage cleaned out and your roof swept...) but hate that I always gain 10-15 pounds! Oh, says this doc, an steroid in an inhaler isn't systemic, so it won't make you gain weight! (Okay, where has HE been all my life!) One dose and I was flying all morning. Crashed a bit a little while ago, but first thing I have had that actually made a difference! HA! Take that, stupid bronchial tubes!

I was already up 1.8 overnight---but I was also having pleurisy symptoms which are also sometimes called Chest Wall Inflammation, so knew I was in for it. I haven't eaten a single bad bite all week, so this is just the inflammation. I did get a syringe full of saline added to my right side, but that weighs like 1.5 ounces, so can't blame THAT!

It's happened before. It will drop back off. It will happen again.
    Sheesh

    Must. Ever. Trudge. Onward!

Hey Lovelies!!! Been so consumed with 8 weeks of P3 and P4 -- but finally, tomorrow marks the beginning of Round 3 for me. Stabilizing this time around was a challenge, and then when I finally got a hold on it, I went on vacation and ate like I just didn't give a *beep*... now I'm like 7 lbs. heavier -- much of which I'm sure is water weight and inflammation, but I'm trying not to sweat it. Just ready to get back to it. Tomorrow is P1 (load day 1) -- and usually loading is a c**** for me, so wish me luck!

Bout to try to get caught up with this thread....
    R1 - 40-shot - SW 211 / LIW 183.8 -- (-27.2 lb loss)
    R2 - 23-shot - SW 183.8 / LIW 170.0 -- (-13.8 lb loss)
    R3 - 40-shot - SW ?

Hey everyone! I know you all probably started at the beginning of October, but I hope you have room for one more! As a little back story on me and why I'm here, I completed 2 rounds of HCG in 2011-2012, and lost 82lbs. I had been overweight all of my life, up until that point, and had tried every diet under the sun. Over the past 3-4 years, I've fallen back into old habits and my weight has crept back up to my original starting point (pre-hcg in 2011). As defeated as I feel about that, I am so excited to start this journey again. I've made it through day one (10/17), but I wanted to join this blog/thread to give myself every chance of success. I find if I can make it through the first week, I can get into a groove and push through the rest of P2. However, usually around day 3-4 of P2, I want to binge something awful. I have some very important life events coming up in Feb/March 2019 and I want to be feeling and looking my best. If anyone is looking for an accountability/P2 diet buddy, count me in! You guys are already so inspiring. Wishing everyone luck!

Welcome Thinit2winit! You had awesome results in 2011/12. You are in the right place for accountability. Best wishes on a great round. How long are you doing? Are you doing original protocol or 2.0 (or another version)? What type of hcg?

As for me I'm on P3 day 7 and loving it. I ate out twice yesterday...yikes! But the scale is being nice to me. So, I'm still in my window and in fact below ldw so I'm feeling good. Tomorrow I get put under for my out patient surgery. It'll be very interesting to see what that does to my weight. I'm counting on a big gain but staying on P3 so it'll come right off. I'm not going to feel bad about it because there isn't anything I can do so I shall stay the course.

Happy Thursday to you all! This week is flying by for me. I love that. Have a great day.

Welcome, ThinIt! I wish this was a one and done kind of thing, but that may be why there are PHASES to this, Phase 1, Loading, Phase 2, losing, Phase 3, stabilizing and Phase 4 STAYING THERE. While all of them have their challenges, and we sort of concentrate on P2 as being the most important, Phase 4 is for sure the one that gets most of us into trouble! LOL.

Anyone who has not regained some or all of the lost weight... well, good for them, but it is unusual. That is not the hcg protocol's fault, that is the fault of why we eat, not what we eat. And THAT can take some real work to make long term lifestyle changes.

I am here to say I have gained up to half or more back a couple of times in past 5 years since my first experience with hcg, but overall, even though it took a few reboots every year, long term, my eating habits and emotional habits HAVE changed and I have spent more time thin than I have not. I am sure not perfect, just want to be a witness to the fact that all the tools are here, we just have to keep using them.

There is no miracle cure for weight maintenance that once we lose we don't ever have to think about it again. Dang it. Sure wish there was! We all think I am going to lose this weight ONCE and for all! Well, YES, do that! But realize if life interferes with perfection, meh, it interferes and do what you are doing: Get back at it.

Winner Winner (plain) Chicken (breast) Dinner! Congrats on coming back! There are so many people who kill Phase 2 but don't make any long term changes and gain it all back and then just blame the protocol. I hear all the time how people 'yo yo diet on hcg.' Well, the only diets that are not yo yo diets are the ones that people quit on after they gain. Losing and gaining and re-losing is not yo yoing in my view. It's LEARNING and maintaining! Me, I'm a slow learner and it's taken me a LOT to kill off the bad habits. But I'm getting there, and YOU can all be FASTER learners and get there long term.

Never be upset that you return to the Threads. Quitters leave, Lovely Losers come back (or stay) as often and as long as necessary!

    My usual 2 cents!

    P

Oh, and I'm back down about half of yesterday's surprise gain. And oral steroids are just as effective at giving me the MUNCHIES as any in pill form. I made a nice dinner to have last night and tonight and ate every bite last night. If I hadn't been afraid the tin foil that lined the pan would stick in my teeth, I probably would have eaten that, too. But today, no FLYING effect from the steroid puffer, and no appetite at. all. Can't even face food yet today. Dang. I don't keep anything on hand that gets me in too much trouble, tho, so my double dinner was chicken wings, slices of onion, mushrooms, mini-peppers and a quarter patty pan squash, all drizzled in avocado oil and baked together. No reason I couldn't eat all of it, since I am not on P2 or P3, just don't usually. I like to cook once and eat twice! Oh well. Onward!

    P3 week 2 150.9, 151.6, 151.2, 152.4

Up a pound over LIW. I am not sure what I ate yesterday, nothing comes to mind. I feel like the last time I took digestive enzymes in P3 I gained, so not going to take those in P3 going forward. i am going to just eat super clean today and hope to be back in my window before I leave for my trip Sunday afternoon. I will say my son took them yesterday, he has always had a hard time with digestion and he has type 1 diabetes. Both breakfast and lunch his BG was awesome with eating, no spike at all. I think we took them a little early for dinner but it could have been a worse spike, so for him we will keep with them and see if it helps. Today I have to get a mammogram, ugh!!. Kind of thinking of maybe loading Thanksgiving and doing my next round between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but not sure. I will begin thinking of that since we are not traveling for Thanksgiving like planned. i would have to do a colonoscopy during it...wonder what that would be like on P2...thoughts?

Welcome Thinit - your not alone many of us have been there.

Pearly is so true, if we don't fix the root cause of the weight gain it will continue to happen. It really is mostly calories in vs out unless you have an underlying medical problem. If we don't change our lifestyle and eating habits it will continue to add up. That's one of the reason I like to continue to weigh myself a couple times a week even when I am not dieting, keeps me in check. Beer and nachos are readily available here and it is easy to overindulge quickly.

April - I'm thinking of starting around then, not sure exactly when but loading during Thanksgiving sounds heavenly. Enjoy all the amazing foods and start on to a great Xmas but may even start a bit sooner and just have a relaxed Thanksgiving. I don't know yet, depends on blood work. I have it planned for Nov 9 so would like to start right after than in case I need a few extra days.

AFM - down another pound to 1 pound over my LIW window. Getting closer. All I have done is eat mindfully. Life is busy busy until Xmas for sure so that helps there is no time to sit on the couch and snack lol.

Of course..I need to think about my testosterone in this whole thing and have the pellet leave my system so it may just be best to do it like I had planned in mid feb.

Yeah, I think it is more complicated than calories in calories out, Diesy. But junk in, fat on, baby!

Back down all but .2 of that sudden EEEEK gain. So it WAS just inflammation. Maybe that going away means the bronchitis will start to clear, too. Last night was the first night in weeks that I didn't take something to sleep. I was out like a light before I could start coughing.

    Onward!! O

    Hi, everyone!

Welcome to the new folks! You've found a great group of supporters here LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - ON IT in OCTOBER!!!

I'm just really struggling right now. Feel half icky, not really sick, bloated, lots of tummy issues. It's likely a bug, pretty miserable. Getting ready to close all this up and head south, so pretty busy. Haven't weighed for two days, I'll face that tiger tomorrow morning. I just wanted, needed, to check in and say hi
