Broken!! I had only protein yesterday. Four scrambled egg whites for breakfast, chicken and some turkey for lunch..and then while I played tennis three hard boiled egg whites and some turkey, lots of water, some detox tea and an epsom salt bath after I played tennis. Figured if a higher protein day would work to reduce water retention on P3 it would work on P2 and there you go. I actually was not sure it was working, did not feel like I was peeing a lot during the day but over night had to get up several times and I also had a normal (not humongous) BM. So we will see what the next few days bring. In my three P3's in 2012 I always settled below LIW this last round I settled above..so I think that is the main reason I want to get lower is because I might end up settling above this round and want that wiggle room.

Blue: Hope your steak day works. That has to be hard to be on so many medications that mess with your system. I know in psychiatry even when someone is not Type 2 we had to give them metformin to help with the weight gain from all of the medications to avoid what we referred to as Metabolic Syndrome. Psych meds on the other hand dull the receptors that say I am full..and people think they are hungry all of the time.

Beachy, one of the things looking back over the years of gaining, was not paying attention to the scale for me. I stopped weighing in and correcting so gains when they were happening and then before I knew it 2lbs became 10 and so on and clothes still fit then they were a little tight etc. I also think for me having some support. I am not sure how long I will stay on the forum past my last round, but I hope to do so enough to keep myself accountable.

Welcome Beachy! Thanks, yes, I think the applesauce turned out wonderfully At least, it looks beautiful in the jars. I tasted, didn't add any sugar since I'll be passing it out. Nice amount of cinnamon, too. I'd caution you on being too low carb for long. I think it was Grammy that said that can really tank your adrenals and cause no end of problems. If you're eating the low carb veggies and GAINING from them, you might want to take a look in her thread or ask. For me, I know the high carb processed grains are not my friends, but the veggie carbs seem to be perfectly fine. I have to watch how much fat I combine them with, though.

April - CONGRATS ON 152's!!!!! Finally, eh?? My concern with the meds is that on so many there tends to be a point they start giving meds to help with the side effects of the ones you're already on. I've been in that scenario before and it really sucks. Leez sent a PM to me last night about a possible alternative that I'm checking on. A different type of medicine, prescription only, that my doctor would need to prescribe. It works differently, alleviating pain, inflammation, etc. So it's definitely worth a look and consideration.

AFM, The steak day did good by my, I'm at 173.4# this morning, LIW was 172.8#. This is P4D10 and I'm really pleased so far. I think I'll basically need to manage my foods by a schedule to ensure I get correct foods and amounts in throughout the day. Even yesterday, I only had half a chicken breast and a fist full of broccoli. I added butter to both since the breast was boneless and skinless. Zero hunger during the day, zero hunger this morning. FRUIT doesn't even sound or taste good to me now, and I was loving that during P3!

    Good morning to you all!

I had a great weigh in this am. I'm down almost 14 lbs so far and really happy about it. I'm on vlcd 24 and going strong. I'm doing the countdown to P3 each day, it's getting closer! At this point, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will finish this round strong. Only time will tell. Today will be a protein shake for breakfast, chicken for lunch and lobster for dinner for me. Sounds pretty tasty!

I cannot believe it's already Wednesday AND that it's October. This fall is flying by. I'm spending lots of time researching and dreaming about my Jamaica vacation in November. It's a huge motivator to stay on track now and into P3.

Have a great day! Stay strong.

Wow April, great job sticking through your stall. You are so close to where you wanted to be. That's pretty exciting.

Blue - that's an awesome P4. I hope I will do the same.

Jen - great job. Are you close to goal? How long will this round be for you?

AFM - down 1.6 this morning. Going into battle with the set point I've been fighting for a year. Really hoping this is the time I shatter it, never to return.

Just checking in to send well wishes everyone taking on this HCG journey!!

I'm currently on R4P3 day 13 and have been out of pocket for a couple of weeks. Mainly because I needed to take a mental break from HCG, scales etc... I've been doing rounds steadily since the end of October 2017. Having to expand the in between times after each round started to take its toll on me when I realized a year is almost here and I'm not there yet. (R1-6 weeks, R2-weeks, R3-10 weeks, R4-12 weeks...Next up R5-14 weeks and last R6-16 weeks). To get the to target weight for 5'4" will probably take 2 more rounds which means I might be done by JUNE...(insert scream here!) My last round was a long, tough and sickly one that was drug out with a planned interruption and two bouts of stomach flu symptoms ( 14 and 10 days each). I had gotten down to 162 from lack of food/ dehydration and wasn't sure what my actual "real" target weight was going to be. Of course I wanted to stay at 162 but I knew that it wasn't reality. Doesn't mean I didn't get grumpy and pouty when I saw 170's come back on the scales!! Burnout started about here!! Fortunately the past couple of days my spirit has been lifted because a noticeable shift in my body has happened ....all of a sudden I'm shrinking and my clothes are finally starting to get really baggy. Just in time because I really really really needed this...it's help the scales not to be so important right now. I've definitely noticed the weight as it came off but never like it is now. Its like I finally deflated!! Seriously?!?! 64 pounds later and I've stayed in the same clothes up to this point. Never knew my clothes were one size fits all...let's just say the pants I wear now don't have button waist or belt loops. Now I can finally see buttons and belts on the horizon LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - ON IT in OCTOBER!!!Specifically my favorite "Brighton" brand belts which has been one of my goals (2012 was the last time I remember wearing a belt). I've also been looking at some Tod's driving shoes online for when I reach my final goal. Trying to get back to my old go to look before I put on this weight. I'm more of a plain Jane classic style person. I don't have an eye or the figure for trendy fashion but I do tend to like quality over quantity. One reason I tend to avoid trendy fashion is because I've always been heavy chested and fitting into tops are a challenge. I can remember being 140's size 8 (before children) and still wanting/needing a breast reduction. It was a challenge to find a wedding dress. After my last child was born I finally had a reduction 2011 and ended up the same bra size I was before children...<sight>...needles to say pregnancy hormones was like the seed in "jack in the bean stalk" ...they grew like crazy and didn't go down after getting back to pre pregnancy weight. It's in my genes thanks to my sweet grandma ( the real JessieB).

Goodness I've rambled on so much...thank you for letting me do so and as always thank you All for your support during this long journey.

I'm posting my round 4 chart one more time for those of you who love seeing people's data as I do. The chart is getting very long...like this post so I will reduce it down after this.

Hugs LOVELY LOSERS 2018 - ON IT in OCTOBER!!!

Looking at your status everything looks right on track till second week of P3 It might be helpful if you posted a few days of your foods since you started gaining. It is hard to tell what you mean by following low carb. Specifically P3 is not really about low carb. It is the time when you stabiluze by adding fats back in and not eating starches and sugars. I eat at least two servings of fruit per day and veggues plus more meats in P3 Nuts get me in trouble so i dont eat them in P3 Some dairy is problematic. Maybe write every single thing down the next cpl of days. Also i keep drinking half my weight in water

So I have been not eating any veggies these last two days. I had a handful of cucumber slices yesterday and then a few small sticks of celery last night.
Again had eggs whites for breakfast, then for lunch I had some turkey and three hardboiled eggs whites and dinner two small hamburger patties. It seems to be working so I am going to take it, if being on HCG is really high powered ketosis then that is what I am going with. I will see how it goes for the next couple of days. I am not sure I was getting in really more than 30 grams of carbs with veggies before or not. But since i feel full doing this, and it is moving in the right direction I am good. I also had some cottage cheese yesterday. I have no idea calorie counts but I am pretty sure I am close to 500 in protein. Forgot my injection yesterday but took it this morning. I have to admit I was about ready to call it quits, i am just really wanting a glass of wine. I am proud of myself for being able to stick to it, esp as I sit at work when others are eating desserts (not that I am tempted) but it is about lifestyle choices.

I am so ready for the weekend. I did buy myself a treat for the weight loss, more boots. I have been wanting a pair of Steve Madden Freebird boots for a long time so I decided I have worked hard and deserve them. It helped that they now have something like smart pay where you get to make payments every two weeks..so it spreads out the big purchase. I have been going through my closet and putting aside clothes that are in good shape to see if a friend would like them and then getting a bag ready for the good will. i have things that I like but when I put them on they make me look frumpy, so I think it will be time for them to go. I am one of those people that impulsively buys clothes so there is really too much in there and I cannot figure out what I have.

Thanks ladies for all of the support. I am going to go back and see if I have missed any posts for some reason when I hit Today's posts it only gives me the first page of this stream.
