    Good morning, Lovelies.
    Feel better, Rose!
P2D12 in process for me. I've been stalled for a few days, but whatever. I know the protocol works so no biggie. Onward!
Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi fellow hCG-ers! It's been a long time (like, maybe 6 years ago?) since I've posted on a thread for accountability, so thought maybe I would do so for this round. I was off the hCG train for a long time, and did a round last fall because I had some hCG in my fridge left from prior rounds a long time ago that was going to expire, so I went ahead and used it, seeing as how I'd been stuck about 35lbs above my ideal weight of 2005-2010 for a long time (I was in the 140s then, depending on time of year with varying activity levels). I had already lost quite a bit, after having gained 90+ lbs after 2010 due to many different factors. I didn't have a great round. I struggled with my dosage a lot early on, and thought I would need to stop; dosages as low as 90iu had me wanting to eat my arm off. Thankfully for this forum, Leez and Grammy gave me great advice, and I switched to IM injections. I was able to increase my dosage to a more therapeutic level (125iu), and have an easier time. Unfortunately, it was a little too late to recover my losses. I only lost 14lb in a 30 day round. While some would be ecstatic about that, I was not, having lost upwards of 20lbs in previous 30-33 day rounds. I also developed probably the worst food --mostly meat -- aversions of any round prior (I had always struggled a bit with the food, but nothing like the last round). I struggled. A lot. I was so happy to hit P3; more happy than in any other round ever.

So, why am I back? Because I've taken miserable care of myself over the past 6 months, and gained back 28 lbs. I let stress, and other life factors get the best of me, and quickly. And the worst part is that I knew I was doing it, but just ignored it and kept on. I ended my last round at 173. That means that with the gain I saw a "2" on the scale for my first number when I weighed on Saturday. I was so angry with myself. I cried. I haven't seen that number, except as a 3rd digit, in well over 2 years. I swore I would never let myself get to that point again, but here I am. No use in screaming, or beating myself up anymore, I've realized. All I can do it be honest with myself (and with you all, because it's what will help keep me accountable), and move forward. I'm doing another round, despite the difficulties, because I truly believe that overall, it's what's best for ME. It will get me back on track and TODAY, not next month, or "later".

That said, I know I can't do this round POP. I have food aversions that lasted well past my last round (it ended almost a year ago -- 49 weeks, to be exact). I still can't eat chicken breast at all, even cooked with fat, and I struggle with some other things (cod, swordfish). I will be using protein powder a lot (Isopure Whey, unflavored), and off-protocol foods like fat free Fage, salsa (one I love with "safe" ingredients), and eggs more often than Dr. Simeon recommends, etc. I know I don't have reactions to these foods after previous rounds, thankfully. I also only weigh once per week. Yes, I know this is all "rogue"; it's what will get me through this round. And I need this round, perhaps more than any other I've done, mentally speaking. I'm more disappointed in myself than I can express, but know that in just a couple of weeks, I will be feeling so much better.

For anyone who read this ridiculously long novel -- thank you! For those who didn't, that's ok! I wrote it more for myself than anything. See you all on the boards!

    Mandy,
    Welcome back!

For a greater variety of foods, you might want to checkout Hcg 2.0. There is a book on amazon that you can download to a kindle or other e-device. A lot of us here use that protocol and lose the same as the OP protocol. It allows more protein, not much fruit but lots of veggies, mixed or not. It counts protein calories and net carbs, so using My Fitness Pal or something helps keep it simple.

Just a thought. Like you, I can hardly look at a chicken breast anymore! If adding tuna, eggs, fage and cottage cheese will help you, this might be something to checkout. READ it, though, not just the blurb on the cover! LOL. And yes, you can switch with no repercussions from one to another. IF you don't like it, you can always switch back.

Hi Ladies ..missed you all...can't wait to catch up. Yesterday "was" suppose be the last day of my planned interruption. However, my stomach still has not recovered from the bug that started on the 31st. It's been 11 days...I've never experienced anything like this ever. I'm on antibiotics and feeling so much better though. I'm able eat real food now but not ready for coffee. Not ready to shut this round down just yet but I'll be ok if it goes that way. Returning to health is my first priority.

    Thanks for the "welcomes!"

As far as HCG 2.0 goes -- does anyone have any insight into the carb restriction? I'm not a nay-sayer here. Before the last 6 months of what led me to another round, I practiced a LCHF diet, and maintained ketosis 95% of the time (a gal's gotta take a day off here and there, plus allowing carbs now and then keeps your cells insulin sensitive). I've read about not restricting carbs during HCG protocol before because it can affect your adrenal glands (I think that's what it was? I just remember reading that it wasn't the best of ideas)? I downloaded the book and will start reading tonight. Just wondering about anyone's input? Did you miss your fruit? It's one of the things I look forward to... Thanks for the suggestion, PearlyMae!

Back in range and it really was not hard, two sunny side eggs for breakfast cooked in butter, a big salad for lunch with chicken and olive oil, some almonds and chicken thighs with asparagus and a little square of lilly's dark chocolate. I feel more free this go around then I did in 2012 and I am finally looking forward to my next round, your mind really has to be in it. My stuff got here yesterday so I am ready to mix it Thursday night and first injection will be Friday morning. I will then just prefill one to take with me on my overnight for Sat morning.

Mandy welcome back. I have not done 2.0, but this go around I did not really weigh my meat, I just eyeballed it. I only had one fruit but that has been typical for me for most rounds. The first round I did the best and I was super strict I find I can sacrifice a few pounds to feel a little more satisfied and less bored.

Several people not feeling well, hope you feel better. It has been crazy busy. I have had so much contract work to complete, right now I am all caught up and work is a little slower today, so I hope to catch up on how people are doing. Hoping to get my computer back from the repair shop Thursday or Friday.

    Goooooood morning, everyone!

Mandy, welcome! My past P2, I used the IsoPure unflavored protein as well a few times. I get really bad food aversion, too, and it's a real life saver for me! You may find better results using 0% cottage cheese rather than the 0% Fage. I used both, stalled typically with Fage, but continued weight loss with the cottage cheese. I think just too many milk sugars in the Fage, but who knows?

Rose, I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better! These bugs that start going around this time of year can just be miserable.

Jessie, hang in there. If it's been 11 days so far, you're BOUND to start feeling like yourself any day now, especially since you've been on meds!

April, you've stabilized so well! It must feel great staring down the barrel of your last round to get back to where you're most comfortable! I still have another round, planned for January, but just feel so much better after this P2. Very thankful hcg works so well

AFM, haven't weighed yesterday or today. Brother and sister-in-law are here, having a really wonderful time, running all over. Already KNOW there's zero likelihood of doing a correction day, so just keeping it as clean as possible. They've been munching all the fair baking leftovers, sending everything remaining with them when they leave to see my nephew tomorrow. He's in college, plays on the football team, and has LOTS of friends. I'm sure they'll thoroughly enjoy every bite, hee hee. I've not tasted a morsel of any of it, either - pretty proud of that. Started feeling pretty ooky yesterday like coming down with a bad cold or the start of a flu. This morning, not much better and just hoping it stays no worse until after they leave. That'd really suck being nasty sick while they're here.

Enjoy your Tuesday. For everyone not feeling 100%, time will work it's magic - that's what I keep telling myself, anyway.

    Good morning, Lovelies!

Mandy, on the hcg 2.0 protocol, the carbs from your vegetable intake should not exceed 30g. (You don't count calories for your vegetables, just the carbs.)
That said, I agree you do need to be careful not to go too low. I accidentally went too low before and started experiencing problems, like toes turning purple due to poor circulation!

AFM, it's P2D13 and I'm still in a stall. I know it's water weight, and the whooooooooosh will come eventually.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Good morning everybody,

Rose - hope you are feeling better soon... doesn't sound like fun...

    Mandy - welcome.

AFM - I've done the re-load and am now on VLCD 2 with the new, potent HCG. I don't recommend starting and stopping 6 days in... it messes with the mind. *lol* That said, all is going well and I'm happy to be on day 2. The event I am attending is October 4 - October 7, so even the restarting will still give me enough time to do a great short round, and be in P3 or still be on it the weekend of the event. It's something we are hosting as a company, so I can organize my own food pretty well, no matter what stage/phase I am going to be in. So knowing that, even now, helps greatly.

When I first started this weight loss/release journey I was afraid of being seen and had always associated weight with safety. As I posted before, every 10 or 15 pounds released, I would panic and eat, self sabotage or something else to deal with it. I've noticed that has entirely shifted now that I've hit the 30 pound gone mark. It was never actually the weight that was keeping me safe and I can see that now.

I'm also realizing that while I got dressed, did my hair and makeup every day, I didn't actually look or see myself. I was too embarrassed and just didnt want to see myself. But yesterday, I was buying some new jeans - size 12 - and I actually could look at myself in the mirror and like what i saw. I'm not nearly done yet, but I'm proud of moving from a tight 16/18 to a comfortable 12, on my way to a 10 and then an 8. That is my next goal - to be back in a size 8. I was a size 4/6 when I got married in 1994 and while that would be nice, that may be for another round, if at all. Maybe I'll do it in January with the rest of you.... and see where I end up.

Anyways, I've got to go, lots of clients today, but I wanted to check in to say hello to everybody.

    Kimberly
