Lol I can totally relate to spending wayyyy to much time in this forum! I dug all in here after starting my first round (still do!). Ended up changing my Dr/plan and ordering injection online after the 1st round. It was unlike me not to do much research before jumping into to something like this but brother, who also did a round, knew someone at work who lost 100 pounds on HCG. The guy stayed on it straight through until he reached the goal. I started with the same Dr office as him who did RX drops etc with their own HCG rendition. This forum has been incredibly helpful in this journey.

The forum is on the quieter side right now but it will probably pick up. It seems to come in waves.

Jessie - did you also do really long rounds? Did the guy who lost all the weight in one round keep it off?

GLC - glad you are switching over to the macros without major issues, it definitely makes a difference when you fill your calories with real food vs crap food. A chocolate bar while tasting good will not fill you up as much as real food with the same caloric count. Way to go!

Jessie - At least you made a healthy choice, I hate those weak moments right before bed. I get them too.

Rose- glad it all went well, happy belated. I am sure you will be at 140 before you know it.

AFM - Surgery is booked for Apr 11. Crap that's fast lol. I'm used to the Canadian system, not US. Took almost 7 years to get my hip done from initial doc visits to surgery. Feeling much better on the new prescription of meds which has helped immensely for my sanity. I have a craft show for a Catholic Ladies group on Sat so I have been working on creating stock for it. Wish me luck, it has been a quiet year so far.
Hey D...just wanted to check on you. Hope all went well with your surgery last week and your recovering well!! Let us know when you feel up to it.

    HEY!

Surgery went well, was back to work on Monday but it is really wearing me out by end of day I am on the couch and not moving. Dr say there was more damage than he was expecting and we would talk about it and he will show pictures at my follow up next week. I haven't eaten well for a week really cause my hubby was out of town all weekend and I wasn't up to standing and cooking so delivery was the way to go. Swelling is still really high, I will be a week post-op tomorrow but not much actually pain more discomfort because of the swelling if that makes sense.

Thanks for checking in with me. I am ready for another round but need to wait until my next round of bloodwork since I know hcg affects that.

Smelling delicious foods and baking cookies in your sleep ...it's so cruel but we have to laugh! Feel like success getting through those moments!

I did a longer round this last time (54 days) because I was trying to make up for having to redo my prior round. I'm now about 20-22lbs under the starting point of prior round. It was an unusual goofed up short round with a planned interruption, followed by an attempt to get back on it. I got sick twice during it so don't let it be a "normal" example of what can happen. Following OP usually produces predictable results
(averages loss .5 a day). The guy who lost 100 did gain it all back but I don't really know his story...other than he started traveling for work and went back to his old ways. That's not to indicate that super long rounds have not been successful here. I really believe everyone has to figure out what works for them mentally.

Speaking of old ways, I now eat foods crazy high in fats can maintain. Foods that the diet industry made us fear. I personally don't want to be tied down to a "diet" and counting calories. Really ...who does? This HCG protocol continues to blow my mind. I've learned a lot going through all the phases and rounds. It's really exciting to watch newbies on here experience it. Just keep going ...you'll be amazed!!

Mairi: I'm a claims adjuster for people injured at work, so it does get crazy sometimes. It's amazing how some people have such minor injuries but make them seem like much more than they are...while others don't even report major injuries and just use their own insurance. It's such a wide spectrum!

Bz: OMG garlic knots...my love. I found a keto recipe for garlic knots but I haven't tried it yet. I'll post it

So glad surgery went well Diesel! But sorry you're feeling out of it Don't overdo it. You know your limits.

AFM: Down 1.0 today. Yesterday I had 2 fried eggs, a SF vanilla latte, pistachios, parmesan chicken, roasted cauliflower, a small bag of sun chips (not P3, I know...but good!) and a paleo cookie. The cookie is pretty good but spreads out pretty thin when baked. Here are a couple recipes that have helped me in P3 and after:

1 single individual chocolate chip cookie:

    4 tbsp. almond flour
    2 tbsp. coconut sugar
    pinch of salt
    1/8 tsp baking soda
    1 tbsp. melted coconut oil
    1 tbsp. beaten egg
    1/4 tsp vanilla
    chocolate chips (optional)

Mix all ingredients and refrigerate for 30 minutes, then bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.

    Garlic knots (haven't made yet):

    1-1/2 cups mozzarella
    3/4 cup almond flur
4 tbsp. cream cheese (2 oz.)
    1 egg
    2 tsp oregano
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    oil spray

Preheat oven to 375. Combine dry ingredients. Add cream cheese and mozzarella to same bowl and melt/mix for 30 seconds at a time on high in the microwave. Add egg and form dough ball. Roll dough into thin strips then make little knots with the dough. Make garlic butter topping and add to the knots then sprinkle with parmesan. Bake for 15 minutes.
    LDW: 152.2 from last round

Trying to lose w/P3 eating only:

    07/16/19
    Starting weight: 155.8
    Current weight: 152.8

Nice drop! Thank you for the cookie recipe HP! When I saw Paleo cookie...I was going to ask about it but there is was. It's time for me to finally give that infamous almond flour a try

Dieselmom, take your time! Surgery takes a while to recover from. They even a year to recover from anesthesia. When I started my round, I could smell chemicals leaving my body. I am 18 months past my second hip surgery!

Hcgpro, that is stressful. And yeah, people are so different! When I went to see someone for my hip pain he did not believe I was not taking pain meds everyday since I as bone on bone.

I love paleo cookies and use Swerve btw. It keeps them safe for keto too! The recipe otherwise looks very similar if not the same. I use Libby's chocolate chips too. Not in P2 of course

AFM, I stayed the same today, as I expected! I am almost relieved haha. Exercising is still going well though I am not as strong, which also could be from this awful cold. It is gone now though. I wonder if this contributes to the losses. I make sure to drink enough water and even add salt to it, and I keep checking urine color so all is good there.

    Have a great day everyone!

Mairi: It's amazing what doctors will give people these days. That's probably why they're so surprised when people aren't taking meds I love swerve! I have the powdered kind and use it sometimes. I think the coconut sugar just gives it more of a chewy texture but it would probably be fine with swerve or a granulated sweetener too.

Jessie: Yes! Almond flour is amazing! I love that recipe because it's just 1 single cookie and I don't have to make 12-24 and waste ingredients. It may come out a little flat but it's soooooo good.

Waaaaa. I haven't eaten yet today and it is 345. I wonít be home for another hour and so I am wondering if I should just make one big meal, or if I should eat one and eat the second one later.
