Bummer for the vet bill, but yeah, that sounds like a dog... I know I occasionally go to the vet with the very clear symptoms of “she makes a weird face somehow, I cant explain but something is wrong.” Usually I am right.

I'm still around doing ok. Have moments of being hungry and then not at all. Had a wicked headache this morning so tried upping my electrolytes today and I'm feeling better. I've lost two pounds from my pre-load weight, so I think that's good? Long way to go though! I tried weight watchers in January and it was too hard, so many rules and points and complicated! Any way. I had lost a few pounds, but of course gained those back and a few extra before starting this up again. Took the dog for a walk today, the weather was finally warming up a bit. I want to keep that up.

Glad to see others doing well, and staying the course!

Still enjoying eating the same foods. No issues with missing carbs and sugar for now. Curious to seeing how my body reacts to consuming cake in a couple of weeks.

My husband is leaving the veterinary office with our favorite child, black cocker spaniel. He took him in this morning because it appeared he wasn't feeling well. He wasn't responded to stuff like he normally does (ie no tail wags, eating, playing etc). As soon as they got to the vet the dog turned happy. $125 later, vet said he has the cleanest cocker spaniel ears he's ever seen and all is good. (He was due for blood work in June so they went ahead and took it). The kids were out of school this week on Spring Break which interfered with doggies nap schedule. Seriously?!?!

    Have a great day all!!

Holy Moly... that's crazy $$!! Is it to late to get pet insurance? My sister took out a policy for their Boston terrier after it almost died from eating coins. It just happened again (3 years later)... her teenager didn't realize he had dropped money on the floor. She said the insurance coverage was well worth it

    Good Sunday, everyone!

Nice drop this morning, though I forgot the number. I am just noting losses right now and I am losing. I don't like getting too focused on decimal points. This was about 2 pounds though so unexpected for day 4. Who knows why. What I do know/noticed is that, and sorry if this is TMI, but I peed A LOT yesterday and my urine smelled like chemicals. I know this is considered a detox diet, and I have had two surgeries in the past two years which makes me wonder a/ whether this is anesthesia medicine remains leaving my body as it was stored in fat, and b/ whether my weight gain this past year is not related to my body protecting itself from the remaining chemicals in it.

Tomorrow I will have my first work out since I started and I am a bit anxious! Hope I have the energy.

Last thought: I know this not considered to be a ketogenic diet, but I stay under my carb allowance that I followed when eating keto without trying even when eating two fruits a day. I don't eat the grissini. I do go over if I eat an apple and either an orange or 1/2 grapefruit, but when I combine any of these with strawberries for the day, I don't. Even then, it still is not high though, under 40g, which is technically still ketogenic for most people.

And this makes me wonder... when people start adding carbs in P4, there is going to be a slight increase in weight simply because the body retains more water when carb burning. This would then move the base line up theoretically as it is not weight gain from food/over eating etc.

I do eat 3.5-4oz protein with each meal to compensate for the grissini even though it is technically a different macro.

Anyway, thanks for reading my ramblings.

Honestly, it is still very mch ketogenic. I did hcg 2.0, so no fruit and grissini, less than 30g of carb, so it was even more pronounced, but even with the limited foods on OP, you still end up in ketosis.

And... yes, the second you introduce carbs, your glycogen stores get filled again. It is not actually weight gain, just feels like it... normal people have some stored water, and eat carbs - it is keto and hcg specific that all the water gets drained so harshly.

I am not following P3, and I am having carbs, in a calorie deficit.

I nitially went up 3-4 lbs, and it took about 9 days to go down again... so realistically, I was still losing, I just needed to lose the equivalent of the retained water, too.

I can tell a bit more about the losses in 3 weeks, I think... weight is going down, I have no trouble with bread, rice, sugar, I just count and weigh everything. Time will tell if I need more of a deficit for losses, right now I seem to be at a decent place... and I enjoy cooking and eating.

Jessie: I've heard of things like that before...one story I heard was that someone's dog acted sick because it wasn't getting enough attention lol Pets are much more like children than people think

Hope all you P2-ers and P3-ers are doing well!

I didn't weigh today but a few days ago I was about 150 so I'm good. I haven't had anything outside of P3 for the last few days. I'll continue with that as much as possible because I'm trying to lose some weight without HCG. I'd like to lose 10 lbs. on my own then if I need it, do another round to get the last 10-15 off. I'd be content with 140 at this point but the 130's would be perfect.
    LDW: 152.2 from last round

    New round
    Starting weight: 156.0
    Current weight: 146.8
    LDW: 147.0

My husbands last cocker spaniel became unhappy because he was no longer center of attention after our baby was born.

    Good morning!

Our animals are so sensitive! We only have cats but they react very much the same way. One of ours started pee-ing inside, and we figured he was stressed out from the new construction. We gave him treats with CBD LOL It worked! We too have taken them in and ended up spending lots of money on nothing but peace of mind. It is so hard to know. Those bills get so expensive.

GodLovesCowgirls: So you did P2 and then straight P4? You're lucky if you have no trouble with carbs! I can't seem to manage them so I never did P4. I am thinking however to try P4 this time and see. I can always cut them. I am curious to see if this helps being able to eat more balanced after this round. I was fine being keto all this time, but I'd like to eat some sweet potato and go a little higher on carbs because some of the foods are so good, especially in summer.

I did not lose any as expected. I think partly because of the big loss yesterday, but also dinner was interesting yesterday. I made chicken and without realizing it, I had cooked it with a little bit of balsamic vinegar. It has no sugar in it but grapes are off protocol so who knows. I also used mustard that had sugar in it by accident... Took one bite of cucumber with some on it and it was so sweet that I checked. Yep, sugar. Upward and onward. Crossfit today! We'll see how I do!

    Have a great day everyone!

8 days ago I was in such a dark place. I know some of you know the feeling. You step on the scale and you are at your highest weight of your life. It is a hard day...made harder by remembering the last time you were here!

In January of 2018 I got on the scale and saw 209...I panicked...I had NEVER weighed over 200 in my life. I SWORE to myself...this is IT!!! I started HCG and by my vacation in April 2018...I was at 188 and feeling pretty good!

The plan was to stay on P3 and Keto and in a few months do another round to get to 160's. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED. I think it started with Bread and Pizza and the CARB CRAVINGS took over....mindless until mid March 2019...and guess what....

219!!!!!! CRAP! First I SWORE I would never hit 200....Then I SWORE I would stop before hitting 210...and HERE I AM ON THE THRESHOLD OF 220. This was about 15 days ago...

Today I weighed 209....I am at my Panic Weight of 2018...and strangely feeling good.

P2 is going very well...not hungry...Doing 2.0 (no melba and almost no fruit)

I am using a new app (for me) called Carb Manager and I really like seeing the Macros.

I am almost afraid to make goals...but I CAN NEVER do this again!!! I need a better maintenance strategy.

I WILL get back down to 188 (maybe more...)
    I WILL Maintain
I WILL get down into the 160's

Ok...that is out in the universe! Hopefully my story will resonate with someone. This YO YO has to stop!

    Any ADVICE IS WELCOME!!!!
Just about every one of us know exactly what you are talking about. I lost about 50 pounds 10 years ago. Once I was done with the second round P3, I stopped getting on the scale every day. In fact, the only time I would get on the scale was at doctor's visits. Over time, eating habits took over and before you know it, all of that hard work and weight loss was lost. So, I had to start over this year. Lost weight and feel great, but don't want to go back.

Needless to say, from now on, my plan is to weigh myself each day. The scale doesn't lie. If you have had a couple of days of not eating properly, the scale will remind you that it is time to tighten up. Once you get down to the weight you are happy with, be accountable to yourself and commit to climbing up on that scale every day without fail.

That is my plan as well, and then do the steak day if needed.

I hope you are doing well, timetogetreal.
