I am doing crossfit but it's only been a year. I love it though! I added a T of bone gelatin to my coffee this morning and ate an apple. I am eating 4oz of protein per meal too since I don't eat the grissini. Hopefully that will help. I plan on just going in and doing what I can, taking things slower with less weight and less reps. I just need to keep the routine going.

Xexymess, stress is really hard. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Be kind to yourself though not with eating it away I used to go for a pedicure when I felt completely down and ready to eat a carton of ice cream. You can do this!

X: Sorry about all those issues A lot of things going on but I know you'll find the right job for you soon. As for the dating game, I wouldn't worry much about that right now. Give yourself a specific amount of time each day to be down about what's going on then cut it off like a tumor. They say that's supposed to work at least. Like...if you're going through a breakup, allow yourself an hour a day/week to be sad about it, then pick yourself up and do something that makes you happy. Pedicures/manicures are good...massage...just anything for yourself. Maybe do a bubble bath or Epsom salt bath. Treat yo' self!

I'm also coming up on three months since quitting my job and even though I average two interviews a week I haven't received any offers. The interviews seem to go well, I get excited and then they ghost me of the roughly twenty people I've interviewed with only two had the courtesy of sending a formal rejection (though one cancelled the position). It's also affecting my dating life... a brave story about quitting your job to find work/life balance is cute when it's been a month, scary when it's been three months. I know it's not the guys' fault but I'm sliding back into a pattern of sitting in the house and feeling depressed which I know is unhealthy and wrapped up in false narratives but there it is.

Thanks for making this a safe space to vent.
Everyone is so supportive and I'm like OMG I would be freaking out too! So here is my recommendations having worked in the world of staffing and HR in Houston (you are in Houston correct??) get yourself to a staffing agency stat! That is one thing I miss about Houston is there are so many wonderful agencies. I worked (many millions of moons ago) for Primary Services. I know they are still around because someone from my college sorority facebook page was looking for a placement and she works there. Because you quit I'm sure temping won't affect any sort of unemployment benefits (because there probably are none). You can choose to go temp, temp to hire, or only have them looking for you a direct hire job. I'm sure you are fabulous and interviewing sucks these days. I've been on 5 within the past few years and everyone in my job loves me but somehow I didn't get these new jobs. I'm just convinced no one knows how to interview anymore.

So your task for today is to look up all the staffing agencies and email your resume and schedule and appointment. You can do this!
    R1 Start 149 - End 135.4
    R2 Start 135 - End 129
    R3 Start 129 - End 115
Maintained weight loss for 2 years +/- 5 lbs
    Gained 10+ lbs from medication

I agree! Staffing agencies are a blessing. I went through one to get a job at a college. It was a direct placement. Only part-time but it sure helped when I had nothing going on in the way of $$.

AFM: I'm down 0.4 from a couple days ago. Not bad and I'll take it. I'm about 2 lbs. under LDW. I think I just need to start working out more. I got my hoola hoop and kettle bell out the other day. I need to do SOMETHING every day. Instead, I just sit around and eat lol I'm definitely getting either sushi or Chipotle on Sunday and that'll be my only cheat meal for a while. I allow myself one every 2-3 weeks or so. The rest of Sunday will be clean eating.

    You're AMAZING Amber!

I'm in Atlanta but have been applying locally and in Houston (since so many of my family are there). I'm registered with six staffing firms however Primary Services isn't one of them so I'll do that next. There aren't really temp opportunities in my field (Supply Chain Operations) at my level but I am open to contract work. Salary seems to be a challenge and I'm salty at firms that expect 20+ years of experience, certifications and graduate degrees for damn-near-nothing! I've already dropped my desired compensation $50K but there's only so low I'm willing to go. I didn't get unemployment - didn't expect to either and I can live out the year without tapping into anything serious but I need to get back into a work routine. Sitting in the house leads to losing time where I may not eat until late afternoon and then I'm so hungry I make bad choices.

    Round 2, P3: 149 and hopeful...

    Thank y'all!

    Good morning Lovelies!

Thank you for all of the encouragement and tips, it's exactly what I needed!

152.2 today but I ate Popeye's and Papa John's yesterday (just sitting in the house binging Game of Thrones so no excuse). I'm going to go outside and take a walk today. I have a room full of exercise equipment and machines but I never use them unless I have a trainer and he's just not in the budget at the moment... so I'll get my dad and we'll go to the garden center to window shop it will be good for him to get out of the house as well.

Oh, and I'm gonna do a steak day today: trying to stay in the 140's wasn't going well but climbing any higher into the 150's isn't an option.

    Round 1, P2: 187 to 168
    Round 1, P3: 166 stable

    Round 2, P2: 168 to 156
    Round 2, P3: 155 stable

    Round 3, P2: 163 to 149
    Round 2, P3: 149 and hopeful...

X, good luck with the steak day!

Down 1.2 today even though this is the morning after exercise class. Exercise went better yesterday than Monday. I am less sore too. I am still a bit under the weather but better. I will keep the bone gelatin powder in on exercise days for now as it doesn't seem to be an issue.

Hope everyone is doing great! This forum is a LOT quieter than 7 years ago I must say!

    Just caught up on everyone
Yes I have had a rough winter and it does not help that I am getting sad about my oldest graduating from high school.

X: my husband is in the same boat, he has been contracting but waiting to get paid is a pain in the butt. He has be ghosted as well, it is just weird. So unprofessional.

Weight is holding steady. I have some back inflammation and I think that is keeping me from losing. I gained a 2 pounds after I got back from vacation. My lower back muscles have been sore since I returned but hoping that improves. My stress level is going down. My dog is stabilizing, four weeks until graduation and family coming in. I have a lot to do, but my energy has been great since changing thyroid medications and my labs look good, will check in 2 months to see if things are going well. Going to give this a few months and then see about another round to get my set point lower.

Tennis season is upon us..that is good. I am playing a short league season on Sat which is good, but it is in the middle of the day and makes it hard to get other things done. Luckily I only have two more matches.

Dropped a few again though between weighing and now life happened and I forgot how much. I was happy though

Still battling my cold but but not sick enough to stop this round. Just don't want to take my usual arsenal of stuff so going to the store soon to get some herbal tinctures.

Sounds like you are doing great though, Rose!

    Have a great day, everyone!

So happy your medication is working out April! The hiring process is byzantine; awful when there are so many articles and discussions on how difficult it is to find qualified candidates. Here's hoping things turn around for your husband (and me) soon.

Steak day worked out really well. I cleaned out my freezer and found a bottom round roast which I braised in the Instant Pot with cream and sliced mushrooms. I also made roasted tomato and pepper soup. After fasting until around 7 I had half a cup of soup and about the same amount of pot roast. Woke up to 149.4 which is the lowest I've been since P3... I hope to keep the loss but will stay upbeat regardless.

Hope y'all have a Lovely weekend!

Yeah, I don’t think hcg is a thing anymore. People are all about keto, macros, protein vegan nowadays, I think.

Remember when everything in the supermarket was low fat? Then low carb. Now they even had a “high protein” cottage cheese in our supermarket. How much higher in protein do you want to go, cottage cheese is already high! And then have protein powders and bars in our regular supermarket, prominent display - the end is near.

    Awesome!

My last injection was three weeks ago, I am down 3.7 lbs since then. Which honestly is pretty good, considering I also added back the carb water weight. TOM coming today or tomorrow, judging by my grazing... will see what happens the week after.

Torn between wanting to speed up losses a bit, and reallllly liking my food options and calories right now.
