    LIW -- 167.4, VLCD1 - 167.4, VLCD 2 - 166.6
    Week 1 -- 164.4, 167.8, 168.8, 168.4, 166.0, 168.0, 169.4
    Wk2, D1 - 170.8

Well, my goal to have 0 correction days is down the drain. I've starved myself all day and preparing a NY Strip and tomato for dinner. So many factors are involved that I don't know what to blame the weight gain on. Maybe the heavy whipping cream that I know I have an aversion to. Perhaps inflammation from the strength training exercises I did the other day that have me oh-so-sore. Or maybe it's from me not letting up off my high-fat diet. I'm thinking it may be a combination of the 3, so I'm letting the heavy whipping cream go, laying off the strength training exercises, and I'm gonna eat more lean to see if that helps.

Glad to see everyone moving along through their phases.

    P2 SW 188.8 - LIW 167.4 = 21.4 lb loss

Lex: I've dealt with something similar but my BF has just tried to throw a fit whenever I say I "can't" have something he's eating. This round he's already being way more supportive and is going to start eating healthier himself. He joked that he'll be eating like me - a celery stick and being full lol I think having a sit down conversation may be needed if you want to let him know how you really feel about it. Just let him know how important it is to you. Just get your HCG foods by yourself and cook separate meals if you have to. I feel like, as long as you're eating when they do, they don't usually pay attention to what you're eating. Hopefully he changes how he approaches it because it's 10x harder when you have someone getting upset that you don't eat what they do.

Lovely: Just because you have to do a CD doesn't mean you've failed at anything. Sometimes we flub up and sometimes CD's are necessary even when we don't. You'll be successful

AFM: Today is VLCD 1. No hunger at all yet so I think that 3rd loading day helped! I've had a little black coffee and I'll finish that later this morning. I have strawberries and brussel sprouts (not POP) for lunch. Dinner will be chicken and probably just more brussel sprouts. I may add an orange in there if I need to later on. I probably only gained maybe 2 lbs. loading which is nice! I'm still about 10 lbs. down from where I was earlier this year (before my last round). I'm going to shoot for 21 days and anything after that is a bonus. I'll just see how I feel at that point.

Oh Lovely! The soreness is all water weight from inflammation! Of course you went up. Instead of starving yourself, just do all of the inflammation cures: epson salt bath, tumeric, lemon juice, ibuprofin., etc. Once you feel better, you will go down. The deal is, and I struggle with this--when you feel crappy and see a gain, it is easy to just go ahead and eat badly, too, to comfort MYself. So just stick with what you were doing and let nature take its course!

Gem, I only have to answer to two small Schnauzers who don't care what I eat as long as I give them a bite! So, I'm no help. Just know that we are here to support you. Perhaps it is because you have done this before and he just thinks you are not going to stick to it so why buy "diet food" --which he probably thinks will be inedible and neither of you will end up eating it so it's a waste. Just stay strong and show him you ARE serious and then maybe he will come around as it goes along?

Only thing I can think of. Mostly what I know about men is that it has to be THEIR idea. You drop the idea, let them process for 2-3 days, and then when they remember the idea but forget it started out as yours, and it becomes THEIR idea, they are all behind it. So, maybe get him involved in some ideas on what to buy?? ASk for his help? Just sayin.

Not married, but have been around this block once or twice...

Hello everyone! Hope you have all been having a good day! So, I couldn't stick with the no daily weighing today, and I was so surprised that I went down a whole lb! I also measured my waist today and in one week, I lost 3 1/2 inches! I remeasured to be sure. Has anyone ever lost that many inches in your waist in a week??? I actually feel like I've decreased my waist a bit, but not that much!

So Pearly, I always struggled w/P3 for some reason until I went low carb on it for awhile til my body got use to different foods. That seemed to work for me. I will more than likely do that again. It seemed like I was always having to do a steak day and it was depressing me! Hope your steak day is a success, mine usually has been.

Good luck on your new round, hcg!

    Well, grandkids are calling!!
    VLC start date 7/29/19

Great job, Gem!!! I'm not sure if I've lost that much in just a week but go you!!!

AFM: I'm only down 1.2 after VLCD 1 but I'll take it. Slow and steady wins the race, right? If I keep that up I'll be in the 140's this first week which would be great. I want to be low 140's/high 130's at the end of this round. That would be about 15-20 lbs.

Also - I guess I didn't buy peas in the pod...it's just fresh green beans. I had a lot yesterday so that could also explain why I didn't drop more. I'll try them out again and if they slow my losses down I'll toss them. Today I'm having blackberries, brussel sprouts, cauliflower mashed potatoes and chicken. I've had the collagen peptides in my coffee. Most of what I eat is modified from the original protocol, so don't mind my cauliflower/other berries/etc. I may try coconut oil (just a spritz for my chicken in the pan). I've done well with it some rounds and not so well in others.

Just plugging along. I THINK I'm in my 3rd week of P3. It's Wednesday and I started on a Wednesday, and I went an extra week, but think I still finished on a Wednesday, so am thinking Saturday is the end of my P3 round. Not that I ever really leave P3. I just add a few cheats, like sweet potatoes and occasional alcohol! Otherwise, I stick pretty much to P3 low-carb eating most of the time.

I am going to really think about this tho, as I have been so strict in the past that if I get sick, over-tired, upset, etc. I fall off COMPLETELY and spend the next 3 weeks/3 months/or more binge-ing on fast food and donuts to comfort myself.

I've always tried to eat P3 style 95% of the time, and I recently read that 85% of the time is pretty good, so I was being too hard on myself. Also, I am trying out maintaining about 10 pounds above where I have made myself be for the past 5 years.

So, let's see if being kinder and gentler with myself will help me maintain. I hate doing rounds over and over because I bounce up 10-15 or even 20 pounds several times a year. A clean up round, yes. That maintenance. Any time it I gain back weight, and get back on it, THAT's maintenance. But over and over? That has to mean there is a flaw in my system.

We shall see! I am right at 1 pound over for the past 4 days. I'd rather be back down that pound, but realistically, I don't think it makes my clothes fit differently.

    Onward!

PS: I had a wonderful email from Christy, our former moderator. She has been undergoing treatments for cancer since last fall and the latest round of chemo/radiation was really, really rough and miserable. She says she is down to a size 4, but that is doing it the hard way! She is now in the waiting to see if it helped enough stage and trying to get some strength back. Oh my. OF course her fabulous self is still staying positive and her sense of humor never waivers. Prayers accepted!

    Hello, lovelies!
Pearly, thanks for the Christy update! She hasn't posted to her caring bridge page in a while, so I was extra concerned.
I lost 3 pounds on my first 3 days of FMD. Today is day 4. I'm cautiously optimistic. Onward!

    Week 1 VLCD results: -1.8, -1.0, -1.4, -1.4, -1.2, -0.4, +0.6

Yay! Yes, I think I need to get further into KETO to stay under my LIW.

I wrote to her because of just that: no posts on Caring Bridge since mid JUNE! I was really afraid to ask at that rate. She just has not been feeling well or strong and said she had trouble typing. Sooo glad to hear back from her. I sent her directions on how to use the dictate mike on her phone! LOL. Don't SCARE us like that!

Kar: Great job! So glad it's working out for you so far

Pearly: I was gone too long! I cant believe Christy is going through that. Prayers for her and her family. I cant imagine but I know she's so strong and she'll get through it. And a size 4? I bet that's great but she cant even enjoy it. Hopefully she keeps her strength up. That has to be rough.

And to think, I was gonna come on here and complain about how I barely ate all day until a few minutes ago and I was starving. I'll save my rumblings and just be thankful

Thank you Pearly for the info about Christy. I too was wondering.

    Hope you're all doing well!!

I didn't weigh today because my water heater went kaput. It was leaking into the laundry room and through the wall to my hallway at 6:20 AM. Not sure how long it was leaking prior to that. My landlord is out of town but his contractor came over within minutes to help me. He's going to replace it today and hopefully fix a couple small gas leaks I also have. If he can fix the gas leaks too, then I won't have to have someone come out next week to do it. I feel good today despite not being able to check my weight. I may have some inflammation from yesterday because I have quite a bit of pain in my neck and back. I'll take some Ibuprofen today and hopefully it goes away. The only time I've had hunger issues so far is when I didn't eat for about 8 hours yesterday then finally had chicken and cauliflower "mashed potatoes". I wish I could have that today too but I'm out of cauliflower. I'll have to either have a salad or maybe some green beans with it. I just brought strawberries for lunch today but sometimes they have stuff here at work that I can grab. They have those giant pickles and I love pickles on HCG for some reason lol Maybe I'll do that.

It's been an eventful day already but I still got to work on time and now maybe I won't have to take PTO next week to fix the gas leaks!
