Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - ALL IN for August!!!!

    Pro, you always knock it out of the park. Go for one more pound! LOL. It makes your ticker nice and neat.

    After Day 1 of loading, I'm at the exact same weight as I was on Sunday, which is always nice. I'm not interested in doing a Farewell Tour of junk food this time around, so that will help. Just trying to eat up the cheese, avocados, olives and almond butter I bought the last few weeks, as I hate to waste food. Shredded cheese freezes, but I still have a half a block of Jack cheese that won't. It will go green in three weeks, darn it! Tonight I will bake up chicken breasts for the rest of the week.

    I do NOT want to do this right now. But I DO want to get into my clothes without having to try on three things before I can finds something that fits okay. I left that behind six years ago and I have to say it is one of the biggest perks to keeping weight stable. To be able to walk into my closet and just choose what to wear for the day because of the weather and what is happening at work--and yes, what's clean!LOL--instead of What doesn't look terrible today? That is a real joy.

    I hate to say it, but the smaller ya get, the smaller the difference is between sizes! You would expect 10 pounds to be a standard size difference, but while the difference between a 10 and a 12 is maybe 10 pounds, the difference between an 8 and a 6 is only 6 to 8! Maybe that's where they get the size numbers. Heaven knows there is no rhyme or reason to it! A 10 is 10 pounds less than a 12, an 8 is 8 pounds less than a 10, a 6 is 6 pounds less than an 8, a 4 is 4 pounds less than a 6 , a 2 is 2 pounds less than a 4 and a Zero is a breath mint less than a 2.... KRAZY TOWN.

    Onward, I guess.

    I don't want to do this!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm still loading. Imagine my mood tomorrow!!!!! eeek.

    For those of you following Christy, she has posted on Caring Bridge and the news is not swell. Her last horrible, terrible, no good very bad treatment that she suffered through and was so miserable from, did not do what it was supposed to do. She has another treatment option to try, but... But. Not what we wanted to hear. If you are not already praying for her, now's a good time to start. P

    Pearly: Definitely praying for Christy! She's always been so positive so hopefully she's able to keep that. Cancer is a heck of a thing and so unpredictable. I hate that she has to go through this.

    As for 1 more pound...I'm sure it'll drop off during the 2 days of no drops Isn't that how it works? You stall, then lose when you're not even using the HCG? I'd love to stick around 145 and steadily go down but HCG seems to be the only thing that works for me now. I've lost almost 20 lbs. since April-ish of this year so I'm good with that for now. I still need to be around 130 though.

    I agree that there's so much craziness with sizes! I'm a size 12 when I weigh around 155-165 and can't squeeze into a size 10 until I'm 140-145. Others can weigh that much and be in a size 4 though

    I am still not able to weigh till tomorrow morning and last night i did something stupid.... I was making banana cream pie made with heavy whipping cream for my family and out of habit I took a bite.... I immediately noticed what I was doing and spit it out in the sink but a small amount went down my throat I am praying it didn't hinder a loss for me.... But I won't know till tomorrow... I hate not being able to weigh...

    Lately I have had to force myself to eat... I am never hungry nor thinking about food and I almost forget... I usually get my protein down, but am having a really hard time getting in my vegetables. I have only been eating one fruit a day too usually in the morning..... What I am craving is one diet rootbeer.... Would it really hurt me if I just had one? or maybe a half?

    Doing ok today. I said I wasn't going to weigh my self but once a week and it's hard not to "peek" now and again. I especially don't like it after the 1st week because that's when you notice small losses and stalls. So, I am down .2 since yesterday and although not a gain, I'll take the small loss!

    Pearly- I never noticed that about the clothes sizes before!! That's crazy!
    Lex- I've done that taste test a few times myself and then spit it out! ha! Don't think I ever had a gain, but I just had to get a taste in! It didn't cause me to go overboard though.
    hcg _ You are doing so well! I think I was kinda drained that 2nd week myself. Much perkier now going into week 4.

    I've actually managed to keep my head in this diet so far and I haven't been real, real strict with it, I just want to see progress and I am so far. If I get down on myself for every little bite I shouldn't have taken, I will fall off the wagon as I have seen myself go in that direction before. Happy I have you all for support and I can't say that enough!!

    Lex: I don't think that's a big deal. I had a tortilla chip with cheese on it last night and lost 1.4 lol You'll be ok

    Gem: Small losses over time are huge gains. Great job! Week 4!

    AFM: Told you all I had to do was end my round and I'd drop like crazy Went from 147 to 145.6. Last night BF had me try a tortilla chip with cheese on it from some new restaurant. All I had other than that was chicken broth because my stomach was hurting. Today is an orange, chicken broth with some chicken chunks, then maybe chicken with some veggie for dinner. Either that or a protein shake. Shopping for P3 foods today

    Lex, I agree with Pro. This is a very careful, thoughtful diet but it isn't meant to be crazy mean. Your slight coating of pie in your throat should be fine. And a diet root beer as a treat, knock yourself out. As long as it doesn't lead to other actual sweets, which we are told it can, I can't see the harm. People give up diet sodas for more reasons than just this diet-- because they want to get healthy etc, give up artificial sweeteners, because one sweet thing leads to another. But I really don't think it makes any difference to your food count. Many people like Zevia brand sodas because they are sweetened with stevia, and I know they have root beer flavor.

    Okay, I was thinking of loading one more--a 3rd-- day, but today up to 139.4 and I do NOT want to see 140 from this side. So today is Day 1 VLCD. I don't expect to lose the whole 10 pounds in the next 21 days, as I probably won't get the big first week losses with only 4 weeks between rounds. But I am gonna get what I can! I don't HAVE any fat pants any more! My entire closet is size 6 with a few size 8's for winter. My size 12's, 14's, 16's and etc. have long since gone to Goodwill. I do have a few 'trapeze' style dresses that cover me, but Just Say No!

    Pearly: You might go down 10 with a short round. Since you loaded, you might get the 2-3 lb. drop tomorrow. I've had the zevia stuff before but not root beer. What I did have turned me off soda altogether lol That's because I like all the sugar

    Question - has anyone started P3 on the 2nd VLCD after stopping drops? I know it says "48 hours after your last drop" before P3, so does that mean the exact time 2 days ago that I took the drops? Like if I eat a piece of chicken with some oil, will it be a disaster? I may just try to find out tonight. Dinner won't be until after 5:00 anyway.

    I use injections, Pro, but 48 hours after your last drops: Took your last drops at 5pm on Monday? 24 hours is 5 pm on Tuesday, 48 hours if 5 pm on Wed!

    With injections, which most of us take in the a.m. but only once a day its 72 hours so, last injection 7 a.m. on Monday, 24 hours is 7 am. Tuesday, 48 is 7 a.m Wed, 72 is 7 a.m Thurs. Boom.

    And I agree on Zevia. It had an okay taste, but was not as fizzy as I like. I have found Arizona Tea's Arnold Palmer ZERO, which is a tea/lemonade flavor with zero sugar. ADORE it. I love Arnold Palmers, so have missed that like crazy. I find it in a big plastic jug for like $2.99, at Target. Cheap. But watch out, they also make a LITE, which is NOT sugar free, just 'low sugar" --like that helps! Crazy.

    Kar: Thanks!! I think I had the same results...but I just can't seem to remember lol

    Pearly: THAT SOUNDS SO GOOD. I love tea/lemonade mixes. YUM. As for zevia - I think that might be it. It's doesn't have the same fizz and reminds me of flavored carbonated water which I can't stand.

    I may try some oils tonight with dinner then. Maybe some chicken breast "fried" in the skillet with oil and some baked cauliflower with oil and garlic. Normally that'll have me in the bathroom real quick though after P2 lol

    Errand day! I've been so busy, I have not eaten! That is dangerous especially since I went to Trader Joe's, one of my favs! So I did buy something I probably shouldn't and that was figs. They aren't available to eat all year and so I looked up the nutritional info on them.....1 fig- 21 cals, 0.1g fat, 5.4 carbs, 57mg of Potassium, 4.03g of sugar. I must confess, I ate one!! And, I will probably eat more this week!

    hcg- Wow, you're in P3 now? I can only dream! I usually allow 2 days b4 I eat when I stop the drops. That's all I've ever done. Never injections. I have found that I seem to lose as much weight doing drops as people who do inj.
    Pearly- welcome to P2! I'm going to have to try that tea out. Does sound good.

    Well, better fill my tummy up or I'll start eating stuff I shouldn't! Have a great evening!
