Lovely Losers 2019 - DETERMINED in DECEMBER!!!

Hello to all of the Lovely Losers out there from Coco (aka sdwis your newest Moderator). Here's your new thread for DECEMBER 2019.

    SPECIAL NOTE:
We all know how challenging it can be if you are on Your HCG Journey during this time of the year. Everyone else is eating and drinking to excess with no apologies, and could care less about their weight. If you are brave enough to be in the middle of a round, or just finishing a round at the end of the year, here is your encouragement to make your decision to stick with it!!!

This joyful and jubilant group of HCGers have been starting new threads every month for years to prevent people from having to sort through literally thousands of old posts, and making it easier for new people to join in.

Please note as you read through the posts:

We are all in different phases of HCG.
We all use different methods of HCG.
What is right for YOU, is right for YOU and we respect that. We dont judge.
We discuss ALL aspects of our individual journeys to a healthier lifestyle.
And MOST importantly, while we can be a little naughty and nutty (always with humor!! ) we are NICE to each other!!

So, whether you are just starting, finishing or are somewhere in between . . .

    You ARE Welcome!!

Congrats to all who make the jump to December. Such a difficult time to be doing P2! Or P3! Or Life In General! LOL.

I'm not doing so hot. I popped up 5 pounds these last two weeks and don't see any drop coming soon. Argh. All I can do is all I can do. My Mom-Sitting continues. She is better but has bad days. She is NOT eating. She thinks she is. She says she is. She is not. A nurse told her all the same things we have, and she weighed her and she i s 101 pounds. She was 125 when she got here in September. So, if you want to follow HER diet, just eat three bites a day. About an ounce of food then tell everyone you ate "all of it" and you are stuffed so full. this is serious, but the past two days she has eaten a bit more. Yesterday she was exhausted from a bad night's sleep and coming off the opioids is making her depressed and seeing only the negative. >>insert frustrated raspberry here<<

I am cooking for the family and eating off protocol for energy and for stress. I'll get back at it when I can. Meanwhile, .....

    ONWARD!

Let's banish those crickets! I get it - December is generally not a popular month to start dieting.
ONWARD, indeed, Pearly! I hope your mom gets her appetite back soon.
It's P4D5 for me. I've been hovering about 1 pound over LDW, so I'm satisfied. I'd still like to work my way down to goal, but it's not going to happen overnight.

    Yes - banish the crickets.

No - December is not a popular diet month AT ALL! Doesn't mean there aren't those of us who need to power through and get to the other side. January will probably be hopping in here!

Kar - sounds like you are maintaining very well! Hoping to join you around the end of December. Will most likely start another round for the final 10 in February, or whenever my 6 weeks of P3/P4 are up. I have to work the timing in around a Super Bowl party, out of town travel and a few other things, but definitely need to git' her done before summer rolls around.

Pearly - Hugs to you in dealing with your Mom. You are a good daughter! Dealing with her lack of appetite while you're trying to watch what you eat has to be a double-whammy. Do the best you can, but make sure to take care of YOU as well!

AFM: On a PI for a few days due to circumstances beyond my control. Holding steady so far. Fingers crossed that I can start P2 again on Friday and finish this round strong!

    Have a great week all!

I am still here, but in a lot of pain from our quick 2 day trip. Still on the Planned Interruption. Inflammation and fluid retention from my genetic electrolyte issues make it hard for me to gauge when to do a "steak day" as I can gain/lose 6-9 pounds overnight. Especially when not on the hhcg and P2. Currently up 4, but not doing a correction day as I know what is happening with my body... and I just got home from my 16 hour work day, so tomorrow will be worse! Cooking chicken and super lean grass-fed beef tomorrow, and then jumping back in. I already stocked up on the produce for the first week.

I am going for at least another month, maybe 6 more weeks. 4 bottles left, but I want to save 2 for another round, so we'll see how long the current bottles (I have 2 open at a time and leave one in my car + one in the house) plus 1 more last.

I want to be on P4 for our anniversary trip, but we haven't set a date for the actual trip, so I can be flexible up to a month or so... No big plans this year. Just an overnight somewhere close.

Looking forward to seeing the numbers stabilize and then drop again. I'll check back toward the end of the week or sooner if I survive my dentist appointment without wanting to head to the ER.
Hey, I'm Roni (Ronnie) I bought a ticket on the Onederland Express! Come along and enjoy the ride!

I am back! My Planned Interruption went really well. In addition to the overall stress of Thanksgiving most people have, I had some big bad family issues--my father is certain he swallowed his dental bridge, that meant 2 days in the hospital, they still can't find it inside him, and we can't find it anywhere in the house or trash. Then yesterday my mother realized someone actually took her bag of prescription medications, so I had to get those refilled and argue about the costs. Fortunately they have very supportive and helpful doctors and pharmacists. Wow It has been a hard Week! The good news is no emotional eating, with numerous temptations due to stress. I had given up emotional eating several years ago, and this was the first time I was really tempted in a while. Maybe it was all the fun sweets of Thanksgiving, as I sometimes feel the more sweets I have the more I want. I did enjoy Thanksgiving weekend. I did have many "non P3 moments", but I find I can do that on a Planned Interruption without consequences if I don't go too crazy ie, a piece of pie, but no champagne or alcohol, not both. Also skinnying up my overall calories if a cheat may happen by eating lots of veggies and homemade vegetable soup means I could enjoy Thanksgiving weekend parties without consequences.

I may be up .5 lbs, but I am constipated. I love the hHCG because I am not hungry at all. LinderLou I agree with you that loading days on hHCG are hard because we are not hungry. I did not load, just got right back on. I hope your planned interruption goes well. I had more energy to exercise, which also helped.

Pearly hang in there with your mom! So sorry to hear about her weight loss. Can the doctors put her on something for her depression? That might help with the eating.

LinderLou: Enjoy the break! I always find renewed energy and great losses after a PI. It's like week 1 all over again!
Kar: So pleased that P4 is going well! Very inspiring!
Roni: Sorry about your pain and inflammation! Hope the dentist went well!

Well, Onward as Pearly says! I am happy to be back, and happy to resume P2! Have a wonderful Day!

    HI Everyone!
Kar that is great that you are holding down the P4 Fort so to speak! Great work!

AFM: I had very good losses yesterday, and am now 10 pounds away from my goal. The bad news is I have a work trip out of the country mid December. I have never been able to string together 40 days without having some issues, but I realized that I can't put my goals on hold and I just have to do the best I can. So I will deal with that. Disappointed, but I will manage.

The weekends are always tough, with entertaining work folks, but I have mastered the restaurant shuffle. I wish I had more energy to exercise, I miss the endorphins. I am trying to walk more, but wow the weather is pouring here. I may have to go to the gym and treadmill...

    Have a great day!

    Good morning!
Reporting in. 3rd day of PI and UP another 0.5. Lots of water and steering clear of salty foods today. Looking forward to restart of P2 on Friday. I'm just mad that I have to lose that pound all over again. So NOT worth it. On the other hand, our friend was really happy cooking dinner for us last night... Still not worth it ;-) and I didn't even really eat the sausage she made specially for us. I had a couple of bites and slipped the rest on DH's plate when no one was looking.

Hope everyone has a great rest of their week!

    Linderlou,
Don't worry it is probably from salt and it will come off quick!
