    Wow, what a difference a few days makes! I didn't realize I had been gone that long! I've been on a "roller coaster" kinda week! So today is D3 of P3 for me. Somehow I managed to drop .8 below my LIW. I made it down 11 lbs for the round. That makes it a total of 21 lbs for 2 rounds. I'm pretty happy with that as I am feeling quite well in my clothes right now! 🙂

    Pearly- our moms seem to be on the same path right now. 😣 My mom is down over 30 lbs the past couple of months & it is so disheartening. I remember the docs putting my grandma on Megace & it really increased her appetite & made her gain. Need to monitor that as my grandma gained too quickly! I'm not sure that would work for my mom as it's hard to get her to take pills.

    Kar- Yes, Dec IS Not a great time to be on a diet for some, but I have found that I tend to watch what I eat as opposed to overdoing it all the time. I have a tendency to go overboard & I like the way I keep myself in check more. Even if I go up 1 or 2, it's peanuts compared to what i could & do gain!

    Gem Girl that is wonderful about your weight loss! ALso congrats on P3, always tough. I agree that it is better for me to be on a diet during the holidays, it helps to stay focused on long term goals. Next year when I am at my goal weight I will really have to give myself daily chats.

    I am also with you and Pearly on the Mom issues. It is very hard to see one's parents deteriorating. I am also in the trenches increasingly taking care of them, with no other family left to help.

    Today I am down .8 which is amazing for me.

    RK - you're on a roll! Hoping to follow you closely down that path soon!

    Taking care of parents can be rough, especially when you are the sole caretaker/family member. Hugs to all of you going through it and hoping that your personal support system is strong. Make sure to take care of You also.

    AFM: Today, I am back on P2 after my 4 day PI. This morning TESS said that I had gained 2.2 over those 4 days - OMG! I don't know how that happened. I was good. I ate mostly P2 with a few P3 foods to keep hunger at bay. Stayed between 800 and 1000 calories each day and making sure to only eat to satisfaction and not a bite beyond. Hoping it is mostly water and will disappear quickly once the hhcg gets back in my system. {fingers crossed}

    Oh, rk, I bet that gain really discouraged you! The only time that's happened to me is when I'm on the drops & I eat something off protocol. Or, maybe I would need a good, Whooosh! 😉

    Linder, I hope those extra lbs come off quick!

    Today I was not good in the eating dept- 🙊 it was one of my Christmas gatherings & I let a few chips & a few spoonfuls of dessert creep past my lips! I'm going to be good tomorrow! 😁

    Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to see that I recognize all of you in the December thread and you are here! Please forgive me for being away so long instead of supporting you! I keep thinking I don't have anything to share since I haven't done a round since last year, but it is important to be here. I can encourage you and we will keep each other inspired!     LinderLou, so impressed by your buffet strategy! Wonderful Job!

    AMF: Good news, I slept well and am down a pound today. I am sure I will lose the rest by tomorrow. Things are moving along in the bathroom, but it could be better. I am drinking Grammy's inflammation smoothie as I write this. It is going to be a challenging day as I have to go to another funeral today for one of my parent's friends. Dad is 90, and it is sad how many funerals and how many of their friends have passed on. Following the funeral there is going to be a huge meal and reception, but I am mentally prepared. I will just drink plain tea, and serve everyone. I am not going to eat anything unless they have plain POP fruit or some on protocol veggies. I am going to have some dinner foods in a cooler in the car if I am hungry, and will just step out and eat some chicken and a vegetable in the car. I am making cookies that everyone loves but I don't like because wow I think are way too sweet. (Carmel Apple Cookies. My teeth hurt at the thought of them, never understood why they are such a hit). My plan is to not to start eating/tasting all the food that will be there...Just easier that way.

    I really feel focused today to lose this weight and move forward. Glad to feel my mojo back.

    Ok, my company is all gone & here it is Monday! I need to get back in to the "swing" of things!
    I didn't want to weigh myself, but I did- up 2 lbs so I'm looking @ a steak day. I have a feeling there will be more this month-ha! I was so lucky that i never did one last round.

    Welcome back, beachy!

    Sounds like you have a great plan, rk. That's what I lacked this past weekend. A plan!
    Once sweets hit my lips, I started to struggle- Ugh! 😣

    I also failed to Stay Focused! 😳

    Just checking in real quick to say hey and welcome back Beachy. Thanks for checking in on us. It's nice to get encouragement from people in all stages of this journey. I don't post much once I'm in P3/P4 because there's usually not much to report - which is a good thing! I do try to keep up with everyone and Like or Thank for their posts.

    Gem - a steak day should put you right back into the swing of things.
    RK - good job getting back to your same weight before the blip.

    I was down 0.5 this morning, but still not back to my pre-PI weight. Still a bit over a pound to go, but at least headed in the right direction.

    Hi, all. I am a crying mess right now after getting off the scale and i hope someone can help. I got off of P2 exactly 72 hrs ago. I gained 2 pounds in that time frame (no cheats, eating exactly as i had all P2). This morning, i weigh 3 pounds heavier than my ldw. I didnt drink enough water yesterday and did have some wine- i know this might be the culprit. But what do i do now? Steak day and i havent even eaten a bite of fat??
