Chawna, breathe! It will come back off. You did something that made you retain water, as you can't possibly gain 3 pounds of fat overnight. Just get some lemon in your water and keep on protocol for the beginning of P3 and you will get right back. This protocol is not very forgiving, but it is made for humans, which you are one, so it will be fine. Don't panic!

Hi everyone. Sorry to hear of so many taking care of Moms! This is HARD! My Mom was eating better, slightly, but hasn't slept in several nights. Sleeping pills have ceased to function. I have an ear/sinus infection and took yesterday off from work, slept all morning, worked at home on laptop in afternoon, but still went and helped my Mom with supper, getting to bed. I left her with my sister with prayers for sleep for them both. I'm still so sick, but on antibiotics so back to work. It is probably time to take her back home somehow---right now she is too weak to travel---but how can we dump her on my other sister? She will be back in assisted living and they will help, but UGH. My sister here is on her last nerve. Mom is off almost all pain pills, but so depressed from having them in her system for so long, she is so blue, nothing is logical.

The urgent care weighed me and their scale said 146. I almost passed out. I've been running 137-138, but of course, this was with my clothes and shoes on. Still,my tennis shoes don't weigh 4 pounds each. I did NOT weigh today. I will get back at it, probably in January. I am weak like baby kitten! So not time yet to worry about it yet.

Congrats to all who are hanging in and handling all the challenges. Life happens and then it snows...

    Good morning, Lovelies.

Chawna, it's just inflammation. It will come off! Do a steak day and make sure you drink your water. When you say you were eating the same as on P2, do you mean just the foods? Or also the very low calories? You do need to make sure you increase your calories or that will contribute to weight gain. And allow yourself some healthy fat!

Pearly, Urgent Care centers scales are always wrong! Or at least that statement makes me feel better. I went this morning for a troublesome sinus infection. Fortunately they didn't weigh me. Hang in there with mom!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kar! What's with us having the same infection? My sister and I were accusing each other of spreading it over the phone, as she lives a 1000 miles a way. But several other people have also told me they have one. Talk about Must Be Going Around! Good grief.

    Feel better! P

Hi all, thanks for the comforting words. I went ahead and started eating fats today- maybe i should have done a correction day instead but can always do that tomorrow. I am playing it very safe today with what i am adding in (tuna/carrots cooked in butter for 'brunch' then plan toneat crab legs and onion for dinner. Thinking that one meal my body got used to on p2 and then a new meal might be safe??)

I just started P3 today, Kar. In the past 72 hrs i ate P2 foods but now ive transitioned into p3 eating as of this morning. I just didn't know if it would be ok to do a correction day onnthe very first day of p3!

    Good Morning Lovelies,

Pearly and Kar, my daughter has the same infection!!! Hope you both feel better really soon! Everyone be careful out there, wash your hands constantly and before any snack, as germs are everywhere!

Pearly: Good luck with your mom and being sick! I know a bright sunny window is cheering. Sleep issues are the worst! They color everything. So sorry you are going through this with her.

Chawna: No One gains 3 pounds in a day! It is water and inflammation and will come off. My concern is if you are doing P3 in the best way? Maybe review some P3 threads here, go look at HCG Chicka's website or ask a question to Leez? P3 is so vague it is easy to make a goof. Leez is great, smart and really can help here if you maybe start a thread (is that the right term?) in the P3 area? Then I hope you will share what you learn with the rest of us, P3 and P4 are a real challenge for me!

Kar and LinderLou: How are you guys doing?
Gemgirl: hope you are doing well!

AFM: Down another .6 today. Except for my blip this weekend my losses have been the best ever--not doing anything different. Have to do another Planned Interruption as I am out of the country on business Dec. 15-19. I'm unhappy about a trip so close to the holidays, I have so much to do, but it can't be helped.Travel food is often quite salty and foreign destination's menus are a challenge. It is just real life but ok, I'm not going to let it tank my momentum! I now talk to myself and say positive things ha ha!

    Have a lovely day!

    Happy Tuesday!

Just popping in for a moment to check in... LOTS of work on my desk. Maybe if I just keep my head down, keep working, and don't go out in public I can avoid whatever bug is going around! Virtual hugs to all of youse with sinus issues.

AFM: P2D20 - Down 0.1. Still not back at pre-PI weight... Grrrr... Will just keep pushing through.

    OK - gotta run!

    chawna,
SO SORRY! I don't know what I was thinking... I wasn't considering your P2-P3 transition time with low calorie days! I wouldn't do a steak day P3D1, either. I still believe it's inflammation and not having drinking enough water can do that. Note carrots are moderately starchy, so you may wish to tread cautiously with them. My most successful P3s have been increasing calories gradually and introducing new foods slowly. It sounds like you're on the right track.

    Pearly,
I'm familiar with computers spreading viruses but not bacterial infections. YIKES! Thanks. I hope you feel better soon, too!

    rkthin,
I'm the queen of purell this week!

    LinderLou,
Happy Tuesday back atchya! Hang in there. Remember the hcg is working even when that evil scale doesn't show it!

Oh..crab apple. I so wanted carrots. Hopefully they wont cause more of an issue tomorrow. Im on top of the water and ill make sure i dont oversalt (i realize i ALSO did this last night. Like, a lot.)
Thanks for being there all! You have saved my mood. I was so devasted this morning. My mom passed away unexpectedly at the end of august and i went from having 10 pounds i wanted to lose to suddenly being 25 overweight. I now know this was the worst time to do this diet; my sad loss reflects that as well. However, even if i stabilize where i am today, thats 10 pounds down. So, thats something!
Ill check in tomorrow and let you know what the scale says..
Thanks everyone! Hang in there with the holidays.

    Kar - thanks for the reminder! Of course, I know that. I guess I just wanted to whine a bit ;-) Hoping that losing the same couple of pounds twice in the same round makes them stay away more permanently! {fingers crossed}

Successful steak day! Down 2 lbs so I'm .4 from my LIW. I ended up having a nice salad instead of a tomato or apple, could have maybe lost more!

Wow, lots of action the past couple of days!

Rk, Linder- thx for the encouragement!
Pearly- my heart goes out to you, GF! 💗 Praying for strength for you & your sisters & of course, mom.....
Chawna- yes, enjoy those fats! I will say on the day I gained, I to indulged in a glass of wine (not 3 lbs though). I just can't do that w/o gaining! 😟 I also try & only add foods a little @ time, but this time I really didn't.

    Welp another Christmas dinner tonight.....

    Hoping to Stay Focused! 😳

GemGirl, these things happen, just get right pack on the eating plan. Don't let one slip become the whole weekend.
LinderLou, so impressed by your buffet strategy! Wonderful Job!

AMF: Good news, I slept well and am down a pound today. I am sure I will lose the rest by tomorrow. Things are moving along in the bathroom, but it could be better. I am drinking Grammy's inflammation smoothie as I write this. It is going to be a challenging day as I have to go to another funeral today for one of my parent's friends. Dad is 90, and it is sad how many funerals and how many of their friends have passed on. Following the funeral there is going to be a huge meal and reception, but I am mentally prepared. I will just drink plain tea, and serve everyone. I am not going to eat anything unless they have plain POP fruit or some on protocol veggies. I am going to have some dinner foods in a cooler in the car if I am hungry, and will just step out and eat some chicken and a vegetable in the car. I am making cookies that everyone loves but I don't like because wow I think are way too sweet. (Carmel Apple Cookies. My teeth hurt at the thought of them, never understood why they are such a hit). My plan is to not to start eating/tasting all the food that will be there...Just easier that way.

I really feel focused today to lose this weight and move forward. Glad to feel my mojo back.
    Have a great day!
    RK
I hope your day is going well. I like your strategy for avoiding food, and I'm sorry to hear someone has passed away. I hope that smoothie and your plan show results for you soon!
