Very quiet in here this morning... Hope everyone is doing well and the sick people are on the mend.

Me, UP 0.5 this morning. Very disappointed. Weighed 3 times just to be sure. I was so good yesterday... I know, it's just water... Was hoping for a whoosh soon, but I guess not. I'll just keep on trucking along and hope tomorrow's number is better.

    Good Morning Lovelies,

LinderLou I am so sorry to read that you are UP! Ok, so your nosy friend here has some questions:
    What are you eating exactly?
Are things Moving out? Are you taking probiotics, Pickles, Vitamin C Magnesium to help in the bathroom area?

Linderlou this is my unsolicited advice, just some ideas that may springboard you into better ideas.
I make sure I have an apple and an orange or half grapefruit for my fruits. OR some strawberries I froze myself. I eat more shrimp and chicken tenders than beef....Sometimes I have fish, but not that often.
Have you tried Grammy's Inflammation Smoothie? That helps me in times of not much loss or after a cheat. I think the key elements are Lemon or lime, Fresh ginger, and some high fiber veggies like a cucumber and celery. Also, put some ginger in water and make ginger tea with a lemon or lime.
    I hope that helps.

AFM: I have been splitting up my foods in hopes of combatting this weakness, but no luck so far. I am beginning to suspect the weakness is due to the diet and my stellar losses. Also, I found this wonderful herbal tea (Vanilla and Rose) and I think I went too hard on it and that upset my electrolytes. I don't want to do the sea salt in water that Grammy recommends because it makes me swell up and tanks my losses. So I had some chicken broth this morning and some pickles and arugula cooked in water and some of my lunch chicken. I also have my usual vitamins, so I don't get the weakness.

I am down another .7 pounds! I usually average .4, and have several stalls per round so I am amazed.

Sad that I have to go out of the country for work on the 15TH. I will have to do a Planned Interruption. Hope it does not toss my momentum, but maybe it will cure my weakness...then just jet lag ha ha. Well, I am going to focus on what I can control today.

    Have a great day Lovelies!

RK - I'll answer you on the other thread. Don't want to bore everyone here with my uninteresting menus ;-)

    Hi Beachy,

Your statement "Every time I try to add cheese, nuts, pork rinds and bacon, I gain rapidly." still rings true for me. I love all these foods (except bacon), but they don't love me, so I avoid them or pay the price with a correction day if I choose to indulge.

We are taking my Mom home. We are basically drugging her up and dragging her home. Okay, maybe not as severe as that, but it feels like it. We are actually both going with her tomorrow night on the plane but meeting my other sister at the tiny airport nearest her, and sending her down the ramp out of security to her and her husband, in a wheel chair with a skycap. (I called the airport and talked to his mom. Small airport!) Then we are spinning around, still in secure area, and running back to the same plane and going back to Colorado! If we don't make the turn around, it will be another 300 bucks and stay until Monday, plus rental car as not enough room for all of us and her wheel chair, walker, luggage etc in one car. So cross fingers the flight attendents run out of ginger ale or something and have to delay take off a few minutes and we make it. If we do it will be a noon to midnight marathon, and then... we can sleep all day Sunday. Well, I will. My sister will probably be good and go to church. I'll just say Thank you God! and roll over.

Then I need to get a handle on my eating. I am not going to start a round just before Christmas as I'm not insane. But I will probably do one along with everyone else in the world in January. I haven't weighed this week and have been living on peanut butter sandwiches and oreos, so... yeah. Ticker is not changed and I was about 7 pounds up when I last weighed, so who knows?

This is called Life Happens and then You Diet. Or maintenance.

Hello everyone! I made it thru another Christmas dinner! Weighed in at my LDW this morning which is a miracle to me, but I had been ill the night b4 (probably that big blob of fried cheese I ate &#129320 & was down a lb. Ha!
I'm so happy I'm in P3 right now! I am sooo rooting you p2ers on! Tough stuff!

Pearly!!! Oh my goodness, you've had so much going on lately. My heart aches for you! 💗 For some reason I thought your mom was already home. What a rollercoaster ride!
You will never regret being by your mom's side now.

Hats off to the rest of you who are on this journey together during a holiday season no less. So happy we have each other to share our ups & downs with as so many- just don't understand!

Make this the best Friday the 13th ever! Oh, check out the Geminids meteor shower tomorrow morning!

    Stay Focused! 😳

Pearly Good Luck! My goodness that sounds hard! I have had to use a rented SUV or Van in dealing with my parents and all their stuff... Sending you good thoughts!

GemGirl that is great news that you are at your LDW but sorry you were ill last night. Also, thank you for the reminder about the meteor shower.

AFM: UP 1.6 pounds today, probably all the salt. I can't get my ring on. Also, I feel better but probably way overdid Potassium/and especially Magnesium supplement--I can't be far from the bathroom.... Hope this resolves soon and doesn't tank my momentum, as I start my PI Sunday! Have any of you Lovelies ever had this 1.6 pound gain in a day?
How quickly did it go away?

    Have a great day!

Hello Lovelies! Happy Friday to all! I am finally DOWN this morning, so very happy indeed!

Pearly - Thinking of you, your mom and your journey tomorrow. Best of luck to you! Glad that your mom has improved enough to make the trip.

Gem - Congrats on surviving another Christmas dinner with no damage done. I am jealous that you're in P3 and can eat cheese, fried or otherwise! Totally agree with you on being able to share here and that most other people just don't understand.

RK - I once gained 3 pounds overnight from eating peanut butter in P3. It took about 3 days for it to go away. Not sure about your situation, but wishing you good luck and good luck on your PI next week.

Everyone else - keep up the good work and have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Saturday Lovlies! No change in weight this morning, but I did have something exciting to report! I went grocery shopping yesterday (I know, I don't get out much) and was in the bread aisle (for DH!) which is the other side of the frozen vegetable aisle. And what did I see? Green Giant has a whole line of cauliflower based products out! They also had a bunch of sweet potato based dishes, veggie spirals, riced veggies and other delicious sounding things. Birds Eye also had a mashed cauliflower offering that looked delish. Maybe I'm late to the party and you all already knew about this, but it made my day! I am SO looking forward to trying a bunch of these in P3.

Have a great weekend all - and Pearly, thinking about you, your sister and mama on your trek today.

LinderLou- thank you for the kind words. And congrats to seeing the scale move down!
Rkthin- thank you as well. Yes, taking the move toward self. care during this time of year is nice..think about how you will feel on new years! And congrats on more weight loss as well!
Pearly- i hope this weekend goes smoothly with your mamma. Are you in CO also?? I live in denver.
So, i weighed in a half a pound below my newly adjusted ldw yesterday morning...i was so happy. Then, i had a food party yesterday. I introduced Beyond Meat sausage in for lunch (may have done it) but then i made a coconut flour cruat pizza for dinner with mushrooms, pizza sauce, 2 kinds of vegan nuts based cheese- all things that could be an issue. Also, did i mention i overate?? Yikes..woke up to 3 pounds above new ldw.
I woke up from a dream about my mom and had a rough start to the day, then stepped on the scale. Feeling pretty bummed but i know i can recover from the food setback. Im going to do a correction day but i am wondering about following the vegan steak pudding recipe macros for my dinner and making a big shake with coconut oil. Any thoughts? I am trying to be fully plant based again- i was vegan for 9 yrs prior to the start of this diet. Ill eat salmon if i have to but the thought of it is making me nauseous.
Then, for tomorrow, ill try the inflammation smoothy first thing but i am not sure how to eat for the rest of the day...i really want to stay plant based but i am wondering if i need to stick w seafood another week...
    Anyway. Happy Saturday all!

Oh and LinderLou, i tried the Green Giant spiralized carrots and zucchini and they were smooshy and bland. pretty sure Whole Foods has some, maybe also Trader Joes? I am going to T Joes shortly and will look. I know both they have riced cauliflower; i buy it often. Its really good!

Chawna - that's funny, because I was actually thinking about you when I was writing that! I was more excited about the mashed cauliflower and sweet potato casserole dishes than the spiralized stuff. I've bought riced cauliflower in the past and never gotten around to doing anything with it... I'm a lazy cook, what can I say. However, if it is all ready to go and just pop it in the nuke for a few minutes, that sounds fabulous. And besides, our nearest T Joes or Whole Foods is about an hour away, so not really an option.

Sorry to hear about your gain from the food party. It sounds like you introduced a whole bunch of new stuff all at once! I don't have any specific advise other than avoiding eating to the point of being stuffed. That's something I've learned from this protocol. Eat slowly and stop when you're full (or before). No more member of the "clean plate" club here. Active member of the "lots of leftovers in the fridge" club. ;-)
