chawna, Looks like you went off the rails a bit. It happens. But yes, do a correction day and you can recover. Stopping when satisfied (not full) is the goal to work toward in P3, as Linderlou mentioned.

Some thoughts for you: If you can keep the rest of your eating in P3 to real, whole foods and not so many processed food and flour & cheese substitutes, you may find you do better overall. Protein , non-starchy veggies, good oils and 1-2 fruits a day can keep you full and satisfied. Enjoy avocados! Proteins can be in shakes, small amounts of nuts or hemp seeds, maybe some sprouted tofu (Trader Joes carries it), nutritional yeast. If you can tolerate collagen or gelatin, those are also possible protein sources. You can get fish collagen if that helps. Maybe consider a bit of a compromise and wait to go fully vegan after you've stabilized in P3. Good luck with righting the ship.

    LinderLou,
Do let me know how those options are, when/if you try them. I am v interested, if the texture is good!
And yes, i know not to overeat...it was just all a little too good, lol. I dont want to wake up to any more gains like this so i will keep that in mind next real meal.

    Thank you, Leez!
Hey, do you ever hear of folks doing great with lots of high protein veggies and fats with lower protein from other sources? Peas are really high in protein...so is broccoli. The loss that i had yesterday was from eating only veggies and fats all day with salmon for lunch. Veg only for dinner.
I almost wonder if my body responds differently to food since i was plant based only for almost 10 years?
I have TJs sprouted tofu in the fridge currently. its on the meal plan for tomorrow!

    Good Morning Lovelies,

Chawna, I have no answers to your questions, sorry.
Linderlou, I know you are going to start losing well soon.

Today I am down .6, but that means I am still UP from my salt day. Today starts my PI transition which is always a challenge. I hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks Leez as always for your great advice.

You might do a forum search for the user "Kansas". She posted a lot about her vegan HCG adventures. You may find some good tips in her posts.

Broccoli is a good choice, peas not so much because they are a bit starchy. Same for edamame. But you might be able to get away with occasional use. Mushrooms have more protein per cup than broccoli. Try to have a little protein boost of some kind with each meal. Even just 5-10 grams will help. That's important for blood sugar stability--which in turn, will help keep your appetite on an even keel. Eating like you did on your loss day should get you through P3 (although I would add avocado, and try to include some fruit--at least berries once or twice a day).

One thing you could try for protein is Ezekiel 4:9 sprouted bread (any but the cinnamon raisin) or Manna bread, sometimes called Essene bread. It is controversial for P3, but some do well with it, and it does have a good protein count. I would wait a few days until you feel you are back on track and then test it. (the controversy surrounds the idea that sprouted grains are really vegetables and can work in P3 because of the lower carb count and greater digestibility)

I can't speak definitively to your how your body is reacting as everyone is so individual. But here are some thoughts: Many vegans do find that they get out of balance after a number of years, but then when they add animal proteins back in, things sort out very quickly. My belief is that our bodies are very resilient. They can handle a change without a lot of "training" time.

Well, I won't be trying any of those frozen foods until P3, so a few more weeks at best. In fact I will probably not even try them until I know I have stabilized with P3 foods I know I can tolerate. Cauliflower will be an experiment. Sweet potatoes - I always wait until P4 to introduce those and even then, in moderation. Maybe someone else here has tried those products and will post?

Rkthin- thank you as well. Yes, taking the move toward self. care during this time of year is nice..think about how you will feel on new years! And congrats on more weight loss as well!
Pearly- i hope this weekend goes smoothly with your mamma. Are you in CO also?? I live in denver.
So, i weighed in a half a pound below my newly adjusted ldw yesterday morning...i was so happy. Then, i had a food party yesterday. I introduced Beyond Meat sausage in for lunch (may have done it) but then i made a coconut flour cruat pizza for dinner with mushrooms, pizza sauce, 2 kinds of vegan nuts based cheese- all things that could be an issue. Also, did i mention i overate?? Yikes..woke up to 3 pounds above new ldw.
I woke up from a dream about my mom and had a rough start to the day, then stepped on the scale. Feeling pretty bummed but i know i can recover from the food setback. Im going to do a correction day but i am wondering about following the vegan steak pudding recipe macros for my dinner and making a big shake with coconut oil. Any thoughts? I am trying to be fully plant based again- i was vegan for 9 yrs prior to the start of this diet. Ill eat salmon if i have to but the thought of it is making me nauseous.
Then, for tomorrow, ill try the inflammation smoothy first thing but i am not sure how to eat for the rest of the day...i really want to stay plant based but i am wondering if i need to stick w seafood another week...
    Anyway. Happy Saturday all!
If I had eaten all the vegan-based products you had in one sitting, I'd be up 5 lbs. overnight. My body is extremely sensitive to a lot of fruits and vegetables. I dated a guy who tried to convert me to the vegan lifestyle, and I gained more weight in the year I was with him than I had weighed in a long time. Perhaps you should have some food sensitivity tests (blood or hair-based) to identify if some of these foods might be a problem for you as well.

I find that I seem to maintain easiest and sometimes even lose a when I eat meat - except pork, seafood, salads, safe vegetables for me, and drink plenty of water. I also try not to overstuff myself as others have recommended. Some days I'll have breakfast and dinner, others a big lunch or big dinner only. I'm one who cannot eat three meals a day without gaining., but I also have slow digestion.

Lovely Losers 2019 - DETERMINED in DECEMBER!!!

    Oh my.

We did it. We drove across Colorado with my 93-yr old Mom In tow, rolled her onto an airplane (aisle wheelchair so no walking at all) flew to Iowa. Plane got in an amazing 30 minutes early. We rolled her out, met my other sister and her hubby, exchanged quick hugs and tears, zoomed back thru security (sister got us TSA-pre) and staggered back onto the same plane just before the doors closed. Flew back to Denver and drove back home. I left the house at 8:15am, got back at 11 pm and had travelled a couple thousand miles.

    Surreal.

Ordered fresh hcg. Need syringes and bac water. I am sick of bad food. But I won’t push myself until January.

Ree coop. Er. A ting. Kitchen is cleaned up all the way to the floors for the first time since the first week in October. Heading to the basement to find the Christmas tree.

Now I need to figure out who I am and what I do here.

Hello everyone! So we go to visit my MIL yesterday, she's been "out of it" since Tues., ended up at the clinic then the ER where she ended up getting admitted! I didn't get home til 11pm.
What's going on with the moms lately? I kept thinking about Pearly, then I read her post today- wow! Just trying to maneuver these little old ladies around takes a team effort! 😁

I'm now afraid to weigh myself again! I was a baad girl today, hehe....

I'm just going to say I read all your posts & am so proud of you all for watching out for yourselves- especially during the busy holiday season. Not too many people taking the time to brave this diet now!

Take care & Stay Focused 😳

I weighed. I updated my *%*%!# ticker. Enough said.
    Onward.

PS: Ordered bac water and syringes. I miss Missouri Medical. For decent prices, I had to get them at two different places. One with bac water at a good price had syringes for 3 times the price I used to get them. Found another place with the right price for those, but they don't sell bac water.

Regardless, I will be well prepared by January.

Hi Gem - and everyone with "mom issues". This struck a cord with me, and something for all of you to keep in mind. We looked after my mom for many years and although this doesn't sound logical, whenever she was "out of it" we learned to have her checked for a UTI. Older people are particularly susceptible to those because they are often dehydrated and dehydrated because they don't want to drink too many fluids because they'll have to make too many trips to the bathroom. Vicious cycle.

    Have a great week all!
