    Hello all,

My intentions were to start my round on February 1st and do a great month. I was off to a good start and then I just completely blew it and am just today, back to VLCD 1, starting yet again to get rid of these last pounds... 154 is my starting weight.

I'm surprised I crashed so hard, but in retrospect, I think the stress of my husband having a stroke just caught up with me and my go to is emotional eating. And just for fun, Flo came to town so I'm sure that added to the cravings / eating etc., I did continue with my Peloton and Infrared Sauna, but man I did some serious stress eating. Right now I'm enjoying a snow day and as Monday is my usual day without clients, its a real me day...

I have to admit I'm torn, between really wanting to do this and lose the last 15-20 pounds and NOT wanting to figure out this emotional eating thing. (if it causes me more issues ). I know I need to deal with emotional eating or I will be back at the 192 in no time.. but heck... I don't need easy, I just don't want it to be this hard...

I guess I also have to figure out who I am now without the weight, or without the weight as an excuse or something to hold me back. What do I do with my time now that its not going to be all about eating? So many questions and that is the other thing I am focusing on for this round, above and beyond the weight loss. I'm trying to use this final round as an opportunity to re-set my body and my brain.

I will try to get caught up on the forum and in the meantime wish each of you well...

VLCD1 - so far so good... *lol*

    k

I have been doing a pellet every couple of months, but I did one in between rounds and my testosterone shot through the roof, so I will not do it again until I am done with HCG and it is out of my system.

I'm questioning if I'm eating fruits correctly this P2 round . In the past I ate only 1 fruit for a midday snack. This time I'm obsessed with eating apple-cucumber salads (100g cucumber/ half apple) with lunch and dinner. We're allowed 2 fruits a day but it's the timing is a little concerning.

Should there be more time in between the fruits? Should I not split up the lunch and dinner fruits up?

    2 fruits a day:
    1/2 Apple at lunch 12:30
    1 whole fruit midday 3:30
    1/2 Apple at dinner 6:30

One reason I'm asking is because I've never felt so satisfied-full-content with foods on a round.

    Any thoughts?

I've gone into this round a little different than past rounds. This time (round 5) I'm not weighing in until VLCD20 which is next Monday. Thought it would help me mentally get through a 40 day round this time. Will start weighting and counting down the final 20 days.

Thank you all for your input on these

So my first day starting weight was 157. Gulp....

Ideally I would love to get to 135.

I'm a little curious as to what exercise does to this process. Since December I've been getting up at 5am to journal, meditate, learn etc,. for the first hour. Then from 6-7 I ride my indoor bike, then take an infrared sauna, then I shower and get ready for my day. I am really enjoying my Peloton bike and my sauna, and have no intention of changing my morning routine... that said, I am still just taking leisurely rides through the various road courses they have on file, so nothing crazy yet.

I'm just so done with having a weight issue, I just want to deal with it once and for all. I'm working to develop daily habits of exercise and eating well to support me when I reach my weight goal.

Anyhow... I've got to get back to work.

I'm looking forward to ditching the 150's and the 140's forever...

    Good luck everybody....

Have you continued working out? I've been working out daily and so far, I feel great. I've done strength training (via athletic reformer pilates), running, and some other cardio. I'm probably going to go to my regular TRX class tomorrow too. I've had slow losses so far so would love to hear anyone's experience with exercise! (Also, I've been keto for a long time so I'm fat adapted and used to working out without carbs.)

I have worked out during rounds. I found my best losses are when I was the laziest.

I donít work out on P2 either. I canít get into a cardio zone without getting dizzy later on in the day so I donít do that. Iíve done Pilates in the past, but that doesnít burn a ton of calories.

Also my understanding of leptin as a hormone is that it is increased/affected by exertion which sort of defeats my purpose of resetting my leptin.

If you do not weigh yourself daily you will not know exactly how your body is reacting to something.

I had a bite of a meatball and then licked my finger knowing darn well the glaze on it had sugar, other than that nothing different. Goes to show you how sensitive this diet can be. So I am going into P3 tomorrow a pound up. It is ok...I am hoping if I stay clean today that it will get back down. I also may have been a bit stressed overnight. I got our nothing financial aid package and the reality of having to pay 30K for college kind of set in. It is ok..we will make it work, but I did tell my husband that he needs to curb his spending even if he gets a job. I look at our bank statement sometimes and I am like WTF...I mean he is not bringing in any income and I am spreading his severance out. He has applied for a lot of jobs, I am just not sure what is going on. It has now been almost 3 months that he has been out of work. He just started getting some contract work and I am hoping it will cover the cost of the overhead for this job.

I did talk a little to my son about the money he is saving from work and how he may need to be saving for his spending money at college. He said ok. He also has type 1 diabetes that means he really cannot go without food and medicine. I know people do it...so I will also.

Jessie: Some people don't do apples in P2 because they can make you hungry. I think they raise your blood sugar more than others...or something like that? Maybe try a grapefruit or something like that.

April: I've almost eaten stuff like that several times now lol You'll get back at it.

AFM: Down 1.0 today. Seems the trend is to lose a pound, then slowly lose another, then gain 0.2, then the cycle begins again. I'm hoping to be 150 by Friday but we'll see how it goes. 145 would be amazing this round.
    New round! VLCD #1: 01/27/19

    Starting weight: 165.4
    Current weight: 152.8
    LDW: TBD

Goal weight for this round: 145
