I feel like I might be coming down with something. Still feel achy, went to bed at 8pm and got up at 5am. Slept well. I only had three helpings of protein yesterday as I did not feel well..so it worked. I did have a bit of a BM finally. I think I will take some stuff tonight also, would like to get back in the groove, the one downside to this diet. I feel good physically, I maybe able to go a few more days, having had a little vodka, a little red wine and some small pieces of lily's chocolate has made it a little easier. I am going to see a client today, then do my supervision and then play some tennis. I will write reports and help my son organize the first part of his capstone paper for his senior year during the super bowl. I may watch to only see what the end scores for the quarters to see if my numbers come up and if I win some money.

I look at all of you wonderful ladies exercising. I turned 50 this last year, will be 51 in April. I have dieted and worked out all of my life. I have decided other than walking, playing tennis I am not going to work out. I have absolutely no desire...since I have learned that weight loss is like 80-90% food choices I will just do some healthy activities to keep myself from getting too mushy.

    Morning all,

I DID do light weights yesterday.....I also caved last night and ate goldfish. The good, the bad....and the ugly (which was my scale blinking up 1lb. this morning). UGH! That is all I have to say this morning. ONWARD.......

It lingered on a 143 number and then settled here. A whole pound down with still not feeling well, a little more hungry and I played tennis yesterday. I have been taking a lot of epsom salt baths to help with the sore back, which I am not sure where that is from. I have a slight cough. I have been trying to get more sleep hoping I am not coming down with something. Heading into work and will just write assessments tonight so that is not too tiring. Right now last injection will be next Sunday but may do Monday or Tuesday depending on how things are going.

Welp, I caved yesterday. Damn Super Bowl parties. No veggies in sight was hoping for a veggie platter then my hubby bought my favorite beer and that was that.

Oh well today is a new day. I go to the doc next week for my thyroid and really need to talk to her about still feeling really crappy, I don't know what to do. I think that is what isn't helping me too with the dieting aspect. I have no willpower because my energy level is 0, here's to hoping I can convince her to try the natural desiccated thyroid med and maybe a testosterone pellet injection instead of the pills.

    Up 1.8pds. Marching forward.

Sorry for all those who didn't lose It sounds like you enjoyed the cheats though lol "Onward!" ~ Pearly

AFM: I'm down to 157.4 today which is a total of 8 lbs. in 8 days. I'm already tired of the chili so I threw my last 2 bowls out. I'm going to try protein shakes mainly for my proteins. I need to figure out a way to make chicken edible for now so I may try baking it. I'm a weird one and don't like juicy chicken so I'll have to cook it a while. I thought about trying to make an omelet with the allowed amount of eggs and onion or spinach but I need a new non-stick pan. I'm hoping for at least another 10 lbs. in the last 2 weeks here but I'll be ok with being at 150. Starting back at the gym tonight so I may have an extra protein shake to drink after we're done. I know it's not advised to start working out during P2 but I really need to get some type of activity going

    Good morning Lovelies!
April – my son was just diagnosed with FluA with little more than a cough and 99 degree fever. We have bad allergies this time of year so thought maybe he had a sinus infection. Hope you get to feeling better!

Dieselsmom – LOL those Super Bowl parties will get you! You will shake it loose.

Pro – woohoo congrats on the 8lbs. I can’t think of HCG chili without thinking of you!

Hello to everyone yet to get on today!
AFM: VLCD1 is in the books and I’m down 2lbs. I grilled a whole bunch of chicken and turkey burgers (I think they are okay) last night. Cut up a few packets of strawberries and bought some salad so I’m ready for the week. I am hosting bunco this week and I still started. That’s how ready I am! Has anyone tried the Walden Farms dressing? It looks like they are okay with no sugar, fat, etc. All that is in there is seasoning and apple cider vinegar.

Hi Amber, I use WF dressing. It's not the greatest, but a nice alternative. Sometimes I mix it with a little lemon juice. My favorite is the Chipotle Ranch.

Amber: Great job on your first day!! I'm not sure if turkey burgers are OK but I would think they are as long as they're super low fat. You just made me hungry for some hamburgers! I may get some ground beef and make my own ketchup. I used to eat burgers like that when I was little (no bun).

I'm thinking of making 2/16 my last VLCD instead of 2/18. Even though it's only 2 days I think it'll work out better to end that day, so P3 would start 2/17. I'll probably need another round around April anyway and if I get to 150 with this round I'll be happy. It would be 15 lbs. then I would just need to get another 15 off to be at goal. For my height, I should only weigh up to 131 (supposedly) but I'd be good at 135. I would need to lose 7 lbs. in 13 days to hit 150 for this round which is do-able.

    Good morning all,

It is so great to see the activity on here - so glad we are all still here, even if we've had a setback or two... still worth moving forward and ahead....

For me its VLCD 4 - and I'm down to 150.6 from my start of 157. So overall I'm happy with it. This 150 seems however to be a set point that my body likes - and while I'm grateful that my body settled at this from my start of 192, I have no intention of staying here. *lol*

Its crazy cold here, so my dogs and I are just relaxing in front of the fireplace right now.

I hope everybody has a great day....

    k

    hey

I would not do a testosterone pellet while on HCG. I did it in between rounds. My testosterone is usually like under 10, and with the HCG it shot up to like 600..and this triggered some hair loss. I will not do another one until I know I am done with my rounds.

That said, I'm just not motivated today. I'm exhausted. My mom came to visit for a month over the holidays and two weeks ago my husband had a stroke, so today I just want to sit and do nothing. Just breathe. I will eat well, but I'm going to give myself permission to not do anything today, no exercise or sauna etc., unless I want to, not because I have to.

I could lose some hair and not be upset lol. I am already on a testosterone supplement 2x daily so not sure how much the actual mg dosage changes with pellet but would be nice to only worry about it every three months instead of doing twice a day. I'm also doing the hhcg so technically shouldn't affect bloodwork but I guess we will see since I go for my labs tomorrow.
