Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - Fighting the FAT in FEBRUARY!!!!

    On the home stretch Lovelies!

I want to get a full short round in so I'm sucking it up. 151.4 first but that seems to be a pattern. I had some watermelon yesterday and it was like something from God, calmed my nausea immediately. I would have been happier with a loss today so I could tell if it affected me negatively but I'll wait for tomorrow before eating any more.

Tried some zucchini in the air fryer with mixed results. It was easy and tasty (just zucchini, Mrs. Dash and a single blitz of coconut oil spray) but it turned to mush less than a minute out of the fryer. With that water content it makes sense but I was tricked by 'crispy' recipes on YouTube into expecting a miracle.

No inch loss this week and that's worrying. Even when the pounds stick around I always lose inches! Maybe I'm closer to my real numbers instead of my vanity numbers... I do feel like I can be happy here, I'm not in my 30s anymore and a lot of the pressure is off to look a certain way... I was trying to get back into the size I wore in my 20s (wistful thinking) because that's when I got married and felt beautiful but I'm meeting men who are interested in me and the body I have today so maybe the adjustments needed to be in my brain and not my belly

@April: Your logic is spot on and I don't think you'd get much from a steak day until things start moving. I hope your drastic measures bring relief as I'd imagine the situation isn't exactly comfortable.

    Round 1, P2: 187 to 168
    Round 1, P3: 166 stable

    Round 2, P2: 168 to 156
    Round 2, P3: 155 stable

    Round 3, P2: 159

    Good morning!
April - Have you ever tried the smooth move tea? I drank that many years ago when things weren't moving.

X - I like raw zucchini because it is crispy. Your air fryer sounds fun!

I am back in the teens lovelies! I can't believe I had 119.2 on the scale this morning. Even after going out with the girls last night and having 3 - yes three - vodka sodas. So X wants to get back into the size she wore in her 20s. I got on a skate board last night cause I guess after 3 - yes three - vodka sodas, I thought I could teach my sons friend how to a 180. Hey I could do them when I was 20. Yep I busted my butt when it flew out from under me. Oh man it's so hard to admit I'm 46!
    R1 Start 149 - End 135.4
    R2 Start 135 - End 129
    R3 Start 129 - End 115

yes..not this round but in the past.
I am needing something more than that to get this log jam (no pun intended) moving again. Be careful about the vodka/soda loss..could be a little dehydration. Be careful, yes it is hard to get older, even if you feel like the same size.

Have you tried magnesium yet? I can down a whole box of Smoothe Move and nothing happens. Magnesium is the ONLY thing that works for me and now I take it daily, HCG or otherwise. Most people are deficient in magnesium overall, so it doesnít hurt to supplement. You can also try Miralax, but remember that it may affect your scale weight for a day or two.

Amber - congrats on the teens, Iím so jealous!! Can I ask about your Round 2? It looks like that one was tough, only a 6lb loss. Iíd love to hear more since thatís how my round seems to be going!

X - thanks for all the advice!!

Pro - I hear you on the gym. Itís hard to give up if you go regularly! Iím having a tough time avoiding it but I think it may be whatís hindering my losses. I see one Doc tomorrow and another on Tuesday. Iím going to compare their opinions and decide where to go from there. I know I wonít be able to re-test my hormones until after 6 weeks without HCG in my system (or so Iíve heard).

I finally dropped back down today. 148.1, so total of 4.2lbs in 11 day of VLCD. Not stellar, but Iíll take it. I fasted for 20 hours, had half a grapefruit, then later a lean 8oz steak, and an apple in the evening.

Iím taking the day off the gym again today (went for a 4 mile walk with the dog, but thatís it - no cardio or strength training). If I see another drop tomorrow, Iíll keep away (as much as I donít want to). I have my normal amount of energy so it feels like I should be there, you know? But...NOT working out is the only thing I havenít tried yet, so there we go.

One other note - I just read a book called The Iodine Crisis and started supplementing with iodine yesterday. Iím really interested in seeing if that changes things for me. Apparently, iodine supplementation can MAJORLY help with low functioning thyroid, so Iím gonna go for it and keep my little fingers crossed!

April: I hear you on the BM's! I think I've had 1 or 2 in the last 2 weeks. Hopefully you can get things moving since you're in P3 now. Did you add oils back in? That's what usually does it for me. I always have movement in P3 when I eat roasted cauliflower (I pick apart cauliflower then douse it in olive oil and garlic then bake it at 375 for about 30 minutes).

I think I'm going to make Tuesday my LDW regardless of where I'm at. I'm back to having nausea early in the day before I eat and I'm on day 22 right now anyway (24 if you include loading). Its not exactly where I wanna be but I've lost almost 15 lbs so I'll be proud of that.
    New round! VLCD #1: 01/27/19

    Starting weight: 165.4
    Current weight: 152.6
    LDW: TBD

Goal weight for this round: 145

    Hey all

yes. I have added in oil. I have been taking Magnesium. I am thinking it just need to get this train a moving. It usually takes my body a little time to adjust.
My pants that I put on at my lowest and were ones I thought I would never get into still fit great even after just going through the dryer. I feel good other than I would like to see some movement. I know that Miralax may falsify some numbers, but I am desperate..

How much Magnesium did you take? I do about 600mg a day (half in Glycinate and half in Citramate). I would for sure go with Miralax or a large dose of Mag and not worry about the scale!

April: I completely agree. You gotta do what you gotta do. I was gonna drink some smooth move tea earlier today but I finally had some movement so I'm holding off on that for now.

So I had to go back to my prior posts to see what had happened. I was on my anxiety meds that caused my horrible weight gain this go around (10 pounds in 4 months when I went back on). I also had two week long break through periods through the cycle so I pretty much just quit. I don't lose anything during my cycle so I started my third and this round right after TOM ended. This was all back in 2011.

LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - Fighting the FAT in FEBRUARY!!!!

Well darn, It's Monday 2/18 VLCD 20 which is my half way mark. I planned to start tracking my weight from this point forward. The reasons I chose to wait is...
    1) To avoid seeing a any weight setbacks from my last round (round 4 was a short round ...thru Sept. 2018). The round ending on a challenging note. After dealing with first the flu and then IBS symptoms (possible trigger steak/tomato day) which lasted for weeks I decided to take a mental break. So I stopped weighing and hyper focusing on HCG. It had been a year since I started the protocol and I followed the original POP for each round (did broccoli only on first round). The good news is that's didn't resort by to my old eating habits (night time sugar binges, fast food and carbs) but I could tell some weight was coming back on. Don't get me wrong, I did eat some crazy sugar bombs along the way!

    2) Hoping holding off on weighing half way through round that my weight would be closer to last LIW. Also doing a 20 day count down sounded like it would be more motivating to do a longer round this time.

So here I am and it 2:30am and I'm wide awake. Really?!?! Being up this late is probably not good for the scales so I'll probably wait one more day.

Look forward to watching and supporting everyone's journey here.
