    Vlcd1

Excited and hesitant to start this again. I tried a few times last year and just caved and made poor choices in food/drink. I am the heaviest I've ever weighed in my life at 232.2. I remember just two years ago I was sitting great at 165-170. I know hcg works when I'm focused. I feel like most of my head is in the game and at this point where my blood pressure is high and I can't fit into most of my clothes, I have no other choice. I love the simplicity of this program. The most difficult part will be abstaining from alcohol but I've done it before for months, and I can do it again.

Today I have two apples, curry chicken, and cucumbers I brought to work. I had my coffee with a tsp. of half and half, pumpkin spice stevia, and plan on drinking a ton of water today. I also have tea at work.

I must stay mentally strong! These first few days are the toughest but I cannot fail. I won't let myself fail. I love my hcg family here and I appreciate all the support you've given to me. I'm proud of all of us even when we have poopoo days. It's all a part of the process.

Thanks for the ramble. <3 xo

I have a ton of water retention in my ankles and it's vlcd1. I've never had it this bad. Is it normal to have water retention on vlcd1? Is it okay to take a water pill with potassium?

Hello everyone! Glad to see there are a few people out there taking the plunge together. That is how I was able to stay with this program and be so successful before. So my first day and I was down 2.2lbs. I haven't decided if I will daily or weekly weigh. I really should only do it weekly as doing it daily can be discouraging if I have a stall or weird gain day. Beat myself up.

Natalie, I tried several times to do this months ago, and I have succumbed to the fact that I need the support of others who are traveling the journey with me.
Lovely, I can only dream of starting P3 at this point. Seems so faaaar away! ha!
Hcgpro, have fun loading this weekend! The days I love to hate!
    Thanks for the welcome, Pearlymae!

As I said before "We Can Do This!!" :-)

Oh, I've tried all the ticker options & it still isn't working right! ;-(

Gave up on that dang ticker! I did what I was instructed, but it's like the sight changed it when I put it in to something else. Not going to mess with it!

Anyway, I went down another 2 lbs today. I love the losses of the 1st week! I have a few challenges coming up at the end of the week, so I'm pumping myself up for them. Cook out, Golf open, company. But....I've been there before and perservered! You all have been an inspiration!

I've never used the peptides you are all talking about before.

    Go, Go, Go!

Natalie: I think some people have water retention depending on what you loaded with. I wouldn't see why a water pill would do any harm. My mom uses apple cider vinegar in her water and it works wonders for her, so you could also try that.

Okay, I'll try again! Yesterday I was closing a tab NEXT to this one, while the reply window was still open on this one as I wasn't quite done yet. The darn wireless mouse jumps just as I click and closes THIS tab instead. Of course, it was GONE GONE GONE. Sorry about that.

Yes, Gem, so welcome! Great start to your week!

Natalie, welcome back! I've heard people say using HCG leads to yo-yo dieting, but I call it MAINTENANCE!

Life happens and we all go up and down, as does EVERYONE ON EVERY DIET. Unless you happen to be blessed with some kind of metabolism that just won't let you gain weight, it is a continual process to keep the weight off. Good for you for getting after it again!

When weight goes up too much, we use hgc and it's excellent diet to get back (or get to) where we need to be. When people ask, I tell them it's one of those lo-carb, lo-fat, lo-FOOD diets and they usually stop asking questions! LOL. But it is balanced and healthy and it works. When we work it.

The resetting the hypothalamus so you can eat 'anything' ---I've never really seen that work. Depends on your definition of 'anything,' I guess. If it's healthy vegetables and protein with occasional fruit, then yes. If it's Krispy Kremes and Oreos (MY choice of AnYthing!) then... uh, no. AT least not for ME!

I hit the Go Advanced button and it posted my reply instead. Sorry about that.

    ADDED:

I was up .6 yesterday and I am down .6 today, so happy about that. I didn't get a chance to change my ticker and now it is back to where it was. So, all good!

Today, I am FINALLY getting coffee with cream. Yay!

I looked at MCT oil to add for bulletproof coffee, but the store I was at only had $30 sizes. I wanted a sample size or something to try out. Coconut oil seems to make me a little queasy. Just a little, but not pleasant. The 'nutritionist' at the store (organic grocery store) said it was because I don't have a gall bladder and I should not eat any kind of fats. Uh, I haven't had a gall bladder for 15 years, and I do fine with fats, thanks. No dairy bothers me. Avocado oil and olive oil are fine. It's coconut oil that I seem to be sensitize to.

I didn't argue with her, I just thanked her, looked thoughtful and left.

It is the combination of fats and starch that a lack of gallbladder can't handle. Like Pizza, nachos, etc. I actually have no problem with those either, other than a little bloating if I overdo on the starches, but that's what she was thinking of. Or should have been. Sigh. And she spends all day every day telling people what is healthy to eat and most of it is 'don't eat fats.' I didn't want to confuse her with facts. Oh well. She was about 12. When she is over 40, she will figure it out.

Another day, another opportunity to have a GOOD DAY!

    Onward!

Pearly: That's what a lot of people think. Are you fat? Well, then don't eat fats! Problem solved! lol I've heard some people say they're sensitive to coconut oil so it could be the coconut or the way it's processed or a dozen other things. The MCT oil is supposed to be good in coffee so hopefully you can find some cheap! And you sound like me...everyone younger than me is automatically between the ages of 10-14. They'll find out when they grow up lol

Hey my peeps! Looks like everyone is hanging in. I wish I time to do personal replies but work is insane today! I do thank ya'll for the feedback and encouragement.

I took a water pill with potassium yesterday when I got home and it helped soooooo much. hcgpro (?) mentioned ACV as an option so maybe I'll switch back and forth between the two. Great idea.
I decided to do more loading tomorrow because first loading day I only loaded for 4 hours. I feel so much better today after some avocado, greek yogurt, cheese and some pizza (ohhhh pizza). I was down 6 lbs today despite my extra load! However, I expect to go up a little tomorrow.

So today is officially VLCD1. I can already see a difference in my face, stomach and ankles. Water weight for the most part I'm guessing.

Today I'm eating chicken twice, asparagus and cucumber, two apples. I'm not doing melba now but I might later on. Typically I don't even eat the second fruit. I'm using hhcg drops through Intermountain and doing 9 drops/3x a day (regular dosing is 10 drops/3x) and hunger in manageable. I have energy too which is weird for me this early on.

I was kind of beating myself up this morning regretting giving away so many of my size 10/12 clothes. I did keep some for when I get to that point, but man, I gave away some almost new cute stuff mostly from Express. Ah well. They went to good friends and family. It was refreshing to let go of those and now I can have a fresh start. Heck, I might even reinvent my style!

Alright, enough ramble. I hope all you lovelies have a great day! We can do this!
    xo

Day 1 for me too. Asparagus should help with the water gain. It makes me pee like crazy. I had a great round in January 216 down to 196 then I went to Tahiti in March. My starting weight is 202.6 after 2 load days. I’d really like to get down to the low 180’s this round and maintain their for awhile.

So nice to see a nice little group forming of ladies just starting a round! Good luck to all of you!

PearlyMae -- I'm definitely waiting to see the evidence of this hypothalamus reset. I wouldn't call it official unless at some point I could eat ANYTHING and all of a sudden have a metabolism out of this world. The cheapest MCT oil I've found is at a store called Sprouts, and when their brand is on sale, I can get it for as low as $10-$12. And if my stomach isn't handling fats so well, I pop a couple of "liver" supplements, like milk thistle.

Natalie -- Noooooo!!!!! Not clothes from Express! Any and everything but those! LOL.... A few months back I purchased a ton of 12s from Express -- nice clothes for work. But gained weight so quick, I never was able to get in them and fit them. Was glad I didn't take them back, because this round I finally got down to a size 12. Kinda glad I have to stabilize for a couple of months, so I can enjoy them without having to go to 10s so quickly. However, I WILL be getting rid of my 16s and X-Larges. I don't know what it will take for me to eventually get rid of my 14s and Larges. 14 has been my average size for so many years, it's going to take some real guts for me to let go.
