Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - JUST DO IT in July!!!

  1. #25
I remember you, retired!!!! Are you back?

Good to know on the apple, Pearly. I normally eat an apple every day alone as well. Usually around 10:00 AM or so and it holds me until lunch. My round should be starting probably next Wednesday. BF's schedule at work changed (he's pretty upset about it) so I'll work it around that. It's much easier to load when he's not around asking me about my diet lol
    LDW: 152.2 from last round

    New round
    Starting weight: 156.0
    Current weight: 146.8
    LDW: 147.0

    Finally!
Down 1.2 or 1.4 depending on how the scale does the math ( I don't let her balance my checkbook.) TESS wobbled between 137.2 and 137.4 a looooong time, and settled on the higher one. Then said I'd lost 1.4 which would have been correct if she had chosen the lower one. Yeah. Idk. But either way (and i'm using the higher one) YAY!

Day 15 and down ~ 7.6 which is about as average as you can get! I'm counting 1 pound of load and ignoring the rest, as it was fluff (and bloat!).

    Onward!
    P

    Oh, I am adding:
I finally put everything I ate yesterday into My Fitness Pal since it was a super typical day, eating the same veggies and amount of protein as I have most days since I started. I hit my 'macros' on the head.
I am supposed to have 526 calories of protein on P2.0, and I had 498. I am suppose to stay under 30 g of carbs (not grams of veggies, but the carbs IN the veggies) and I hit 26. I had about a third of my usual apple, but I had more veggies at lunch than usual. So, I will just watch that Avo oil, and I am probably good. I AM losing at the average rate, as long as I don't slow down toooo much in the next week!

    Onward indeed!

Hi Pro and Pearlie and to any of the other old timers and lurkers!!!
I'm sorta back. I've checked in many times just to see how you all are and what's up with the bunch. Now it has become apparent that I have to do something about the weight I've gained in the last few months. I maintained quite well for a couple of years and since Christmas have put on 20 lbs. Weird thing is I've not changed my eating pattern. I need to get a complete physical so that will get scheduled. In the meantime I'm thinking of doing a short round. Speaking of 'round' this weight is 'round' my middle which is not where I usually carry my weight. I think I'll go with Triumph real HCG.
Hope you all are well...not just weight wise...but in your lives as well!
Pearlie...I'm so glad you've moved on to another job. Still think you need to do some writing. You truly have a way with the written word. That could bring a lot of joy to many.
    love...r

Pearly - how do you calculate what you need on 2.0? I've looked at some calculators but one said I would need 1300 calories? lol Definitely not right. I may switch to 2.0 for this round and see how it goes. I LOVE the first week losses but that's normal so I'll give it at least a couple weeks.

Pro, there’s a book. Hcg 2.0. Available to download from
Amazon. Skim it and get calculator there. It’s cheap.

Made my Hope/wish benchmark for today—down another pound! 136.4. I had given myself a mini-goal to be to 136.8 by today after 2 weeks. So—happy dance!!!

RETIRED! It's always good to have you around, gains or no gains! You know how to knock this out. You will be fine. Hormones are a challenge to maintaining our weight, for sure, at least for me. They change on me without notice and woopsidaisy! Up 10 pounds. Okay, 20, if I am being honest. I am really close to losing the 10 pounds I wanted to on this round, but that leaves me 10 pounds over where I like. I thought maybe if I get to 135, I will be able to stay there better. Not sure it will work, or I'll be satisfied. I'm just not very big! Fat on me is like wrapping me in cotton candy! I get fluffy fast!

O Pearlie... I always enjoy hearing from you.
You're right I do know how to 'do this'. I ordered the stuff today and it should arrive early next week. I'm determined to stick to the 2.0 regimen. I love veggies and salad greens so that plan is a good one for me. I'm better at veggies than I am getting in the right amount of protein. And then there is my prob of not having any wine!
I too feel like cotton candy. I'm a redhead so the pink stuff applies! I'm in my 70's so I'm not really wanting to be a skinny minnie but would be happy to get back into the clothes I wore 15 lbs ago. I was thinking about my statement of 'not changing my eating pattern' and I think I need to revisit that statement. Pattern may be the same but I need to take a REALLY close look at what goes into my mouth. At this age I wonder about how metabolism effects my weight. I should be past the hormone effect...but who knows!!!
    love to all...r

Well, now I want cotton candy. That sounds so good! lol Pure sugar. Yum.

I'll have to get that book! I really want to try something different because by the end of week 2 I'm always stuck hating protein and only wanting to eat soup. Maybe having some different options will help. I'll start loading either Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Well, I messed up big time yesterday and TESS did NOT let me get by with it. In fact, she was mean!

I'm up about 1.4, but it is mostly inflammation from eating bread, I think. I had too much fat, too many carbs and not enough protein. Epic fail! LOL.

I let myself get too hungry, didn't prep anything for lunch, and was emotional over something, which equals Stoopid Eating.

I went through a Starbucks drive up because they advertise 'protein boxes.' It didn't look like enough food so just as I finished my order, I blurted out "And a panini!" WHOT?

I was right about the protein box: 2 boiled eggs, apple slices and grapes, a flat bread disc and some peanut butter. In theory, I should'a tossed it all but the apple and egg whites--in practice, I ate ALL OF IT and would have licked the box if I could of gotten away with it.

I sort of thought I'd eat the tomato, pesto and moz cheeze out of the panini and leave the bread. But they fooled me and it was HOT and smelled soooo good! It was like a Hot Pocket. I just took a nibble and then turned into that cartoon Tasmanian She Devil, and when the dust cleared, no panini, just some crumbs on my chin. Sigh.

So, back at it today. I have food packed, drinks, and determination. I am actually wearing a top today that was outlining the donut that is my belly, but it looks okay today. When I sit down, I still have a jelly roll over my jeans... My body is like fine French pastry!!!

Oh well. Today is a new day!

    Onward!

PS; NOT CHANGING TICKER, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Retired, as far as I know, we all still HAVE hormones, we just produce less and less. Even if you don't supplement in some way, you still have hormones at a low level. And just when you think it is safe to go back in the (shark-infested, donut-filled) water, some low level drops lower and boom, you have to readjust.

Then there are adrenals, and thyroid.... eeeek. It's always something!

Yep, it's not too busy around here. Hopefully that means everyone else is stabilizing and in a good place? Lol

I've been rethinking doing another round right now. My drops are good until December and I'm going to give myself a chance to change myself without it for now. I'm gonna go into a strict P3 tomorrow so I'll still just be doing protein, fruit and veggies but with some more options. I'm gonna go to the store tomorrow to get everything but I think I need to prove to myself that I can do it without HCG. I'll weigh in tomorrow and give it a good month before deciding if I need HCG to do it.

Hi everyone! First day of P2! Iíve done HCG twice before (last time as august 2017) with great success. Looking for to joining this journey with everyone!
