    Happy Monday!

I think today is day 20 in P2 for me. The scale said 135.8 and my goal by tomorrow is 135, so I’m pretty happy.

I’m doing OK, with a few falters, but this round has been pretty easy compared to other rounds. I think loading three days for me works well, As I have not been hungry or at least not hungry when I have already eaten and shouldn’t be. I’ve had rounds where I couldn’t stop feeling that anxious hungry feeling, which last round I decided was because my hCG was out of date. So miserable! Hardly any losses.

But since I’m doing OK, and please understand that could change at any second, I may keep going till the end of the week, or maybe even all the way to 30 days. I don’t know.

I think I will just take it day by day. Deciding on the last dose day does not get me out of the shark infested water. I still have three days of P2 food, with no hCG to transition. So it’s going to take some thinking and planning.

I have to say I feel so much better even with just 10 pounds gone. OK almost 10 pounds. My breathing is even better.

Yes I’m getting into different clothes and feeling better about them, but this feeling of being able to move and breathe and not be so tired… Priceless.

    Onward!

I totally agree Pearly that even with a 11lb loss i feel so much better! Still want to lose another 15, but not doing another round till August. Might try weight wathers for the month of August, though. We will see!
I am very happy to be stabilizing so well! Today is first day of week 3 for p3. No correction days so far! I made smoothie popsicles yesterday as i really wanted a chocolate extreme blizzard!
My smoothies are zoi plain yogart with banana 1 cup raspberries and strawberries each.
Soooo delicious and healthy for my grandaughter as well!

I usually stabilize fine during P3, then I seem to get a six-week 'honeymoon' of stabilization before creep sets in. Then, no matter what I have done in the past, it keeps creeping up to the point where i just lose my motivation and completely fall off the healthy eating wagon.

So, this time, once I am done and have done a good P3, I want to (says here, and someone remind me!) I need to track when that six weeks is up and try to keep stable another week and then another week.... etc. I tend to track for about uhhhhh.... six weeks into P4 and then get sporadic.

The first year I did this, back in January 2013, I tracked for an entire year. I gained and lost 100 pounds, 1-3 pounds at a time (Up Down Up Down), in a year's time. But, I stayed very very close to my LIW the whole time. I fell off eventually, but I'd say I did a round a year in 2014, 15, and 16 to get back to where I needed to be until 2 years ago when I would do a round, gain, round, gain... I think in 2017 I started about 6 rounds, but only completed 2, maaaaaybe 3. Ugh. Last year was not much better. I felt like I was on a round from about February until September, off and on. And I did a quick clean up round this year in Feb again!

I think I have the losing down. It is the STAYING LOST that I still haven't mastered.

    P

Oh, my. I searched the maintenance threads and in 2017 someone posted:

I LOVE P3! .... I do FINE on P3. It is after the regulation 3 weeks of P3 that I start to stumble. I usually have a nice honeymoon period of about 6 weeks of staying rock steady, then the 'creep' comes on. It is the creep I need to learn how to handle!

And...it was ME being quoted. Sigh. So, I haven't come far since 2017. Well, still working on it!

Hi Ladies ))) Iím back and in full swing. Life has ups and downs and good grief I am ready for more ups at this point in time.

I started the VLCD on Tuesday of last week and am down 7.5 lbs. Iím 44 so I feel that my age and hormones are working against me. I do pilates every single day at the studio and walk my girl about 1.5 miles a day. Iím sticking with the exercise because it makes me mentally healthier.

I have kept in touch with Natalie over the past year and a half and she should be joining us soon if she hasnít already as I need to go read up.

Iíve got about 50 lbs to knock off for good and not allow depression to grab a hold of me again. Looking forward to supporting everyone and reading about your successes.

Welcome back, Charlie! And welcome, fb!

I forgot to weigh today but I started eating healthier yesterday so I really should have weighed then. I may weigh myself when I get home from work knowing that it'll be 1-2 lbs. higher than it would have been this morning. I'm trying to do P3 without having to do a P2 first. I'm 33 now and my weight is much harder to get off than it was 10 years ago. I'm going to get a ton of P3 foods at the store today but I'm going to try to stick with fruit, veggies and protein vs. adding any processed or packaged foods in. Yesterday I had a banana, blueberry muffin (I know, not P3 but baby steps lol), veggie chips (also not the best) and a frozen dinner (gluten/sugar free). Today will be a little better because dinner will be chicken and cauliflower. I do really well usually until I get home, then I've been splurging. I wanted to stop by Chipotle after work today but I'm resisting. I don't need the extra carbs. It's a daily battle but I'm hoping to make a permanent change this time and not need to do another full round. If I do, though, at least my drops are good until the end of the year.

    Welcome, Charlie and your girl!

Pro, good for you! Yes, baby steps, as long as you keep moving, right?

WEll, I am back up today, which is Day 21 and is supposed to be my LIW. I don't know yet if it is or not. I don't like ending on an UP, but at the same time, regardless of what I said yesterday, I am kinda ready to be done.

I had yet another hypoglycemia attack yesterday, and it took most of the day to get back to normal.

It was careless on my part, but not really my fault. I prepped food, but was hungry all morning and had to grit my teeth to get to lunch time. By then I was ravenous, although I'd already given in and had my small apple that I usually save for mid-afternoon. I have been taking fiber powder and magnesium in diet cranberry juice daily and that works well, filling, for breakfast, but I skipped it yesterday.

So at lunch, I pull out my deli slices of lean unseasoned roast beef, mini cucumbers and grape tomatoes. The cucumbers AND the tomatoes had both gone bad. They were both the last in the containers I bought early last week. So, all I had was roast beef, and I had carefully measured 3 ounces out.

Yeah, that wasn't gonna cut it!

But instead of going to Starbucks and going crazy (which is what I did last time) I ran up the street to a natural grocer. They had my favorite plain yogurt, blueberries, celery, a couple of apples and just in case, some almond butter. While I was at it, i stocked up on grape tomatoes. I had some yogurt and berries when I got back to work, but by then it was too late. My back ached, I was half way in to an anxiety attack--short of breath, rapid heart rate, couldn't concentrate--my hands were shaking, head ache coming on, and that empty feeling in my upper stomach that is almost a cramp.

All I cared about then was to Make It Stop, so I had an second helping of yogurt and berries, and when I got the hiccups (yeah, can you say adding insult to injury?) a little later, I had a couple of spoonfuls of almond butter.

So by 3 pm I had already had more calories, more fat and more carbs than I should have the whole day. But by 4, I was starting to cool down --did I mention sweats?

I ended up doing a Costco run after work to get dog meds and picked up a chicken and more cucumbers and tomatoes and even some mushroom tops, but when I got home, all I had to eat was the chicken. By then, I was no longer hungry, thankfully.

But I ALWAYS GAIN when I get that reaction to not eating on time. I think it floods my system with so much anxiety, it inflames everything.

The reason I go into all of this, is that I count on Hcg to keep that from happening! It's why I have such a hard time doing traditional diets. And fasting. Yeah, I don't DO fasting. It is NOT a good thing for me.

So, I think whether I am done with hcg for this round, it may be done with ME.

I have more hcg on hand, so I could continue, or I could go ahead and transition and hope 3 weeks is long enough to break my recent Oreo/Krispy Kreme/Potato chip habits and continue to eat healthy. I can lose about up to a pound a week on P3 if I am super vigilant, as it is basically a keto diet.

Not the 10 pounds in 20 days that P2 pays, but I have 8 weeks before a trip where I'd like to be able to wear some clothes I didn't fit in earlier, so maybe I can lose ....4 pounds?? 5 would be nice. 8 would be AWESOME.

At any rate, I will do the full three weeks of P3 once I transition and then stay on P3 forever for a good LONG time in order to hopefully stabilize. If I am not where I want to be by the Holidays, I'll look at a long round the first of the year, but not before!

I'll stay here cuz I need the accountability, so you haven't got rid of me yet!

    Wrote another novel, sorry!

    Man, this is hard!

I had the beginnings of another bout today, about the same time, around 10:30 a.m. I brought extra food, P2 and 'beginner P3", because I can't afford another unproductive day like I had yesterday. I started 'lunch' around 11 and ate off and on til 1! But I finally felt the back ache and light-headedness wane before it went into full gear. (and yes, I am getting enough salt and electrolytes. First thing I thought of!) (me not getting enough salt: LOL: have you MET me?)

It finally dawned on me that my dose may need to be changed. If I feel I can stand it, I will skip tomorrow and if I feel better, I'll decide on Thursday if I'm half-way through my transition days, or need to change my dose.

I CAN'T do this anxiety/starving low blood sugar thing again! I'll find myself diving head first into a carrot cake with a donut in each hand...

Pearly: Sometimes our bodies tell us when it's time to stop. Sounds like all that hunger is doing a number on you. Maybe adjusting your dose would help? (If you're continuing P2) Hopefully you feel better today!

I'm down 1.4 lbs. from yesterday after my first "clean eating" day. It wasn't 100% clean because I had a blueberry muffin but it was much better than I've been eating. I'm around 2 lbs. above my last LDW. I need to get back to at least the 130's. I scheduled my annual doctor visit so hopefully I'll be a lower weight than I was last year when I saw her (and she talked to me about Weight Watchers )

Thanks, Pro. I think dose is part of it, too! Good luck on eating healthy. Feels good, huh?

I sure hope I have a better day today. I really barely kept my head above water work-wise the last two days. Whew. No dose for me today.

I'm UP another pound today, so there's that. I would be more upset, but my measurements are down a titch and a dress I could NOT wear 3 weeks ago fits just fine. That was the goal, not the number. If I can just have a couple of easy days and no physical and emotional roller coaster rides... I expect that to drop again.

Kar, I see your likes. Thank you for the support!
