LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - Jumping into January

Happy New Year, Lovely Losers! It's time for our January 2019 thread.

This fabulous group of HCGers have been starting new threads every month for years to prevent people from having to sort through literally thousands of old posts, and making it easier for new people to join.

    Please note:

We are all in different phases of HCG.

We all use different methods of HCG.

What is right for YOU, is right for YOU and we respect that. We dont judge.

MOST importantly, while we can be a little naughty and nutty (always with humor!!) we are NICE to each other!!

So, whether you are just starting, finishing or are somewhere in between . . .

    You ARE Welcome!!

January 2nd, 2019. Who woulda thought? Never imagined I would live to be this old! LOL.

Looks like we are a bundle of go getters here. Thanks KAR! For coming up with the new thread. Wonder if everyone is over beginners and P2 threads.

If Horses and Spell are here, the Good Feet were what I would consider pricey. I spent $800 for both sets of supports, but that was over 5 years ago, so they may be more. Or hey, maybe they are less! But I can wear any shoe, I can walk, I can do anything I want. I am old, so not interested in 4 inch heels, but not because of the PF. Cured? Prolly not. Managed. OR to put it in Harry Potter language: Sorted!

I was going to weigh today after a week ---10 days?--off. I was late getting up and hurried and scurried and was completely dressed before I remembered I hadn't weighed. Wow. Weigh every day for YEARS and break the habit in 10 days? Apparently. So, I will have to face the music TOMORROW instead.

I still can't find bac water. Is the sodium somethingorother that comes with the hcg a no-no? I'm confused. Anybody? >>>EDIT: Got it coming from Mountainside Healthcare online. $15.99 plus shipping. Pricier but available. <<<

On and on and on and onward.

    Kar~

Have a question seeing you are on the downhill and almost to goal weight, how extremely exciting! I have 11 pounds to goal. I hope I can get there on this round, which is 5 for me. I've struggled losing once I got to 178. Lost 2 then gained 2: became a cycle for a year and a half. Good that I could maintain, but could not lose the final 13. So, on my 5th round. Did you notice slower losses as you got closer to your goal weight? I am on VLCD5 and have lost 5.4. Four of those were the gain from the 2 loading days and whatever I gained between Dec. 20 and Dec. 26 which is when I cheated and went roque with ANY WOE!! I indulged in the evil bread! Don't really care for the sugary Christmas delectibles like cookies, fudge, cakes. But the bread calls my name, everytime. So, really was suprised I was up only 4 pounds. I did not enjoy the loading days, for once in my life. I think it was verification that I have changed my eating ways since 2015. I crave protein now. I'm thinking two things about this round: 1)I didn't load enough on fats or 2)My body didn't have as much fat, as in the past, to lose in the first few days when losses are usually high, due to the way I have been eating. I find that I maintain best eating Keto or using the THM guidelines of good high fat meals (S meals) alternating with lean protein and added good carbs (E meals) and eating every 3 hours. (I love the thought of 'starting over' in three hours should you overindulge or eat too many carbs or mix the macros).

Just thought I'd see how the losses go since you are almost to goal. I appreciate your observances!

SP-how's it going to day? I haven't walked in 6 days and I'm going crazy. My foot has been happier with slight decrease of pain when standing the last 2 mornings. I can't tell if it's that I have decreased the walking or the WOE the last 6 days on the hHCG protocol. I'm going to do a 20 minute strength training today just to stretch and get moving and see how I am later. Also, don't want to overdo it with the VLCD--don't want to feel hunger

April and Lemon-Here's to a Super Start....Let's do this!

Hi Pearly, great to see you! I think we have done rounds together before!

I'm going to Good Feet today to check it out. I think managed is a good term for my PF. I managed it for about 4.5 years, and then it came back. I tried and tried to figure out what I did to stir it up again and the only thing I can think of is I added strength training where I'm doing curls and squats and other stuff using up to 10# on each arm. Maybe I added the weights too soon and aggrivated the foot, dang it!

I had been going strong with Asics and insoles recommended by my podiatrist called 'Sole'. but those are not feeling great the last 3-9 months. Thanks for giving your story. Crocs are the best comfort but I can't wear those to teach school--I usually incorporate them tho on a dress up day!!

I'm doing drops so I don't need the bac water. Hope you find your answer! I'm ready to get the last 11 off!

@Pearly: Formagenix has bac water in stock. Pricey, but available.
    https://www.formagenix.net/Bacteriostatic-Water.html

The sodium water packaged with the HCG is just for single use. Its not safe for multi-dosing.

However, bacteriostatic sodium chloride water is fine for mixing with your HCG, as it is formulated for multiple dose mixtures.

Not sure why Coco didn't pop in to start the Jan thread, but thanks Kar for stepping up. (Maybe she's still party-ing!)

Wishing everyone the best on their January goals. My main one involves staying warm till spring. ^_^ But it seems elusive at the moment. I keep adding clothing layers. If I was doing a round right now, I'd be a popsicle! So I have great admiration for those braving it during the winter.

    Pearly,
    You are too funny. ONWARD!

    ATK,
You're going great! YES, I absolutely notice smaller losses the closer I get to goal weight. My losses in all but my first round have been slower and smaller than most people experience, since I've generally been losing the same 8-10 pounds over and over again. I'm on VLCD6 today and have lost 3.4 so far. Based on historical data, I expect it to take another 2-3 weeks to creep into my goal weight. Those last few pounds are stubborn.

Water Fasting/liquid only-Anyone ACTUALLY done it?

Happy January.. so mu church is doing a 21 day fast.. I participate every year.. I am on VLCD 2 and so far water only... Question.. any one done a water or liquid only fast while on HCG? I was going to plan on water fasting, till I started to hit the wall... it is for spiritual reasons... but I can add protein drink, or just do some chicken, if i feel the need... anyone done the HCG with just water? I KNOW... I KNOW.. alot of you will say its not good for you (I think fasting is great for you), or it hurts metabolism etc.. I understand the concern.. But, was wondering if anyone has actually done a water fast? 1 week or more? I am on my 3 (or 4th? forget) round, in 3 years.. I have maintained till this last few months.. monopause is hitting, and i have put on about 10 pounds.. want o get those back off! it will be a shorter round for me, about 25 days or so... just just curious...is water fasting has worked, or not? longer term.. thanks ( i have been around here for a few years, pecharka5 username.. but i could not log in or reset password, FYI)

Pecharka, I have water fasted but never for that long. I think 5 days was my longest, and I wasnt really working/ doing day to day stuff.

I actually think taking hcg while water fasting would make you hungrier... the doses of the diet are based upon the chemistry of receiving 500 calories a day. Just look at how much trouble people have with hunger and an even slightly off dose.

Going ahead and checking in to say I made it the end of the day vlcd 1. I dont think my husband understands I want to eat my thinly sliced apple in peace, and savor it. Take the kid somewhere else! Lol.

Hunger wasnt too bad. Mostly differentiated boredom from hunger. No Carb withdrawal headaches.

Does anyone weigh out 100g of vegetable serving or do you just eyeball a cup?

It is usually a 100g of protein and then as much veggies as needed to make up the calories.

Wow..January. Ordering my HCG today. I am still sitting at flipping between 152-153, with my LIW back in Oct being 149.7. I have gotten through the holidays. I will not start as early as I wanted. I have a colonoscopy on the 18th and figured I would load that weekend after and start the Monday 21st on VLCD. That should get me close to 21-25 days near hubby's b-day which is the 18th of Feb. We do not have to celebrate on his bday but I will be able to get some wine close to it. I never have a problem in P3 going out, I find it pretty easy actually. I have been a little looser, adding in some starches or refined carbs and sugar in moderation and have stayed at the 152-153 mark for over a month. I did get a little above that when the stresses of life took over, but right now things are settled. I think that my husband will find a new job in the next month or so, he has finally started to hear back on his resumes going out and we are hoping that with the holidays over things will pick up. I have continued to work extra contract, my kids are doing well and I am starting to stress out about paying for college, but since I see so many people doing it I am sure there is a way...or no one would send their kids.
