just catching up..looks like a lot of P2's starting this week. I am with you Pearly I am ok with 10 pounds this go around. I am not as stressed about it as I have lowered my expectations. It does help. I am not a big cheater, but I cheated on wine last time and I am leaving myself open to the idea. For those who do not know this the dryer the wine, so the higher the alcohol content the least amount of sugar...this means no HH pricing or cheaper wines. Check for anything above 12.5 to 13% and you should be good. I always start P3 with dry red wine.

I actually drink dry red wine often on P2 these days. Not saying it’s a good thing; just that I do it. (I also don’t whine - see what I did there- if/when I stall or have slow losses.) Speaking of religion, Kansas, I eat the communion cracker and sip the grape juice at church without counting it.
That said, I think staying POP (perfectly on protocol) is great; but being human, we sometimes make calculated adjustments that suit us.
And Pearly, girl, you got this! ONWARD!

(7 pounds were lost in a previous round. They still live in my ticker for motivation.)

    Load days
    153.6
    155.2

    VLCD 1 155.2
    VLCD 2 152.2

ok..loading weight is gone. We will see how the first week goes. It is not bad having a short work week, so only 4 days to get to the weekend. Have my lunch packed and something put aside for dinner. Keeping busy on beginning of season 3 of Poldark..so I know that binge watching will get me through the week with some work and we had our house painted inside so finding things and trying to figure out what I am putting back up. Today we are getting some snow.

nothing..no gains. I have never reacted to dry red wine. In 2012 I settled every round below my LDW (I did drops then), this time I am 7 years old, in Menopause and both of these rounds I settled about 2 pounds over my LIW. So I am going to do this round anticipating that I will do the same. Kar I also am not a big whiner if I stall. I actually have never stalled for longer than one day..so same weight two days in a row. Granted I only had the one cheat on red wine last round at the very end. I am not sure if I will this time around. I can actually go without and actually feel proud of myself. I am not an overeater when I drink..I actually eat less when I drink, but if I go out I usually like to have more than one glass. I won't open a bottle of wine at home because if I do have a glass I will not want to finish the bottle. What I have decided these rounds this last year, is that I have no desire to spend money on a P2 meal..the cost and what I get are just not worth it.

    Good start April!

Kellane - good luck for a great round.

Kar - I believe it is about balance and if a glass of wine keeps you on track go for it.

Pearly - you know what to do and got this.

AFM - Down 2.0pds to start, pretty normal day 1 of VLCD for me. At least gets me out of the dreaded 170's into the 60's again. Had a piece of chocolate last night but that might be my cheat as I love chocolate and I brought back some good stuff from Canada so maybe will have a small piece every night to reward myself for a good day, if not a good day no chocolate. Carrot before the horse??? See if that pans out.

We are headed to Houston this weekend for hockey so that will keep me busy we have 4 games in less than 24 hours so as long as I behalf during meals I am good to go because it distracts me naturally. Trying to work on crafting to make some stock books for my store space, Christmas was really busy and ends up putting me in a no desire to work on my so called 'hobby' in Jan. I also have tried to get back to scrapbooking and my GF and I have a weekly challenge to do a layout per week to try and start catching up. So far so good but the new year always starts strong.

Have a great day ladies (and gents if we have a few lurkers)

    Morning ya'll,

VLCD #! for me. Looks like there are a few of us just starting out. I'm glad to have the support along the way. Pre-load for me was 149 and I didn't have a great 3 day load. I wasn't hungry. I forced down some avocados, had red meat, a burger, mexican food, and my VERY favorite......french dip and chips. Starting weight is 150 lbs. My goal is 135 lbs. This is my 3rd January in a row to go back and get the 10-15 lbs. off. Ridiculous to find myself doing this each year. I'm in therapy weekly now (due to family issues) and I'm hoping to learn to put myself first from here on out. For me, eating clean is not the issue. The issue is taking the time to plan out my week of food and preparing for leftovers etc......I've done it for months on end.......then I stop. Many reasons, but clearly all are some type of excuse. So, here I am....embarking on yet another round. I'm apprehensive this time as I have both my parents with dementia and under my full care and a kid with some mental health issues. But..........in large scope of things.......those are just excuses for me not eating well. I have such little control over the outcomes of those stressors........the least I can do is control what I put into my mouth!!!!!!!! That is my new mantra at least.

Cheers to all us in our first few days. Congrats to those that are nearing P3. I know it's hard work. I also like the idea of not letting this stress us out. Just go with the protocol and do your best. Ultimately, if you stay pretty much on protocol.....the HCG will get the job done. I'm going to work hard to get to 135lb.......but, will consider my round a successful one anywhere below 139. If I can stay out of the 140's........it really makes a big difference with the belly fat.

I'm going to do a shot of Lipo/B-12 each week. My clinic sells four shots for $40. Last year, I had tons of energy and felt pretty good the entire round. Previous rounds I have felt dead tired and couldn't even exercise lightly. I'm hoping to lift light weights, walk and do a tennis drill this time. Really hope I maintain good energy levels because it really makes a big difference in how hard the round is......at least for me.

Now, off to the grocery store because I GOT NOTHING on protocol!!!!! I'm going to start off weighing everything to keep me on calorie budget. It's a big pain in the butt..........but.......it really helps me stay accurate. Does anyone else just "eyeball" it?

Happy and intentional day to ALL. KMac

Well, THAT was not exactly my best first day. And my day one loss is a whopping point 2. So.... maybe I should count that as a 3rd load day? LOL. I wasn't THAT bad, but.... yeah. No. I can do better.

    Onward!

Hey: If ya every day on hcg and I think every day for maint. too after everything I seen about how fasting is good for you, creates new neurons in the brain, lowers insuline, etc. So I usually do 18- 20 hours while on hcg, cuz I'm not hungry but I think the rec. 16 for females and l8 for males??
although when i go 20 I sort of have to shove the food into a 4 hour window so I end up eating egg whites, 5, or so with small veg and then I kinda push the rest to 2 Sunwarrior shakes to get in the protein so its like 56 protein, WHICH, WHEN I'M AT A LOWER WGT WILL LESSEN
I GUESS REC PROTEIN IS .36 X YOUR WGT.
with the science of fasting they also say Not to over do the protein and stay with in rec. daily amts.

hope this helps and or watch that vid i sent you youtube bbc fasting.
    sorry guys gotta shift starting.

Good afternoon. Thank God i located this website. I did this diet years ago and the only thing that got me through it was the support I received here. I lost 71 pounds years ago and over the last year 22 pounds found their way back home on my thighs and stomach. I started loading Jan 18 & 19 and now am on VLCD 3. Looking forward to finding my mojo again.
    Load day 1= 4.4. Load day 2 = 4. Total load =8.4

    VLCD 1= 3.8
    VLCD 2= 2.6 - CKO
    VLCD 3=1.6 - CKO
    VLCD 4= 1.4
    VLCD 5= .2 - CKO
    VLCD 6= 1.6 - cheated
    VLCD 7= (3.8) - CKO
    VLCD 8=
    VLCD 9=
    VLCD 10=

    TOTAL = 7.4
