small loss but I will take it as I ate a little more, super busy day. I played tennis last night, saw two clients on my way home and had some scrambled egg whites at like 830pm. I am again busy today, but taking it with stride and will try to get to the store later for a few supplies. Feeling good, put on a tighter tennis shirt with a built in bra last night, and it looked great. I was thin before but had a little bit of a pooch..pooch is officially gone. I am hoping to get through this weekend without a cheat, but if I do cheat it will not be on food. I don't find that to be a problem, it maybe a glass of dry red wine. If I say I might I am even more less likely to make that choice when the time time comes, I never overeat it when I drink I usually just overdrink.

in regards to the appetite suppressant talk. I decided to continue some phentermine through the round and it has worked wonders on my appetite. I am not usually hungry on HCG, but this really takes the edge off. I am not worried about stabilizing at all. It leaves your system by the first day off of it. I will probably stop it during the 72 hour period.

Since this is round 3 with my last round ending in what he the beginning of Oct, does any one know if I need to 4 weeks or longer of P3. I know you extend in additional rounds and I wonder if I did not in my last round and only did 3, because I did shoot up a little over my LIW. I think P3 a breeze..so just wondering. I ate P3 for years.

    Morning,

Gah, I am also one who is somewhat hungry my entire round and as long as I can keep my hands busy I am good. I haven't had no hunger at all but a lot of my hunger is "mental" hunger since I don't have any physical signs of tummy growls, pains etc just have an overwhelming desire to eat and usually I know it is mental because the thought of eating a carrot doesn't satisfy me but then wanting a chocolate bar takes over. Mind of matter. This is where that mental strength needs to come in and where I like to be busy because I don't have that feeling as often as long as I am busy. I craft which keeps my hands busy (kinda like a smoker trying to quit) if I am sitting in front of a TV or reading a book I have at least on free hand to stuff food in

I am finding trouble with my rounds because my mental strength hasn't been there. My friends will support me if I say I don't want a drink or certain foods but I cave. I still don't feel 100% while trying to get my thyroid stuff figured out which sucks because it doesn't help feeling tired and draggy with that then also having low calories blues. Oh well, I CAN DO THIS.

Today I am finally back to where I started before my weekend cheat - lost three plus days. Down 2.0 pounds this morning and have another crazy busy day on schedule with Lexi having another beach volleyball then court volleyball practice. That girl is killing it. She was at a court clinic last night and they asked her to join the club team of 14 year olds for the their hitting clinic, she is only 11 so proud of her. Because of joining them it was a 2.25 hour clinic vs 1.0 hours. This week alone she will have almost 9.5 hours of volleyball practice and 3.5 of hockey. Gosh I don't think I could have done that and she LOVES it. My son is starting up lacrosse now as well as hockey so basically my husband and I wave at each other as we pass by during the week.

sd: I envy you lol I get hungry but it's not a serious hunger. It's completely manageable so I have no real complaints. I wish food made me nauseous! lol

Charlie: Sounds like you were just going through too much at the time to realize what was really going on. I'm SO glad you got everything checked out when you did!

AFM: I'm down 1.2 today, so yay! I'll take 1 lb. losses this first week. I'm down almost 5 lbs. in 3 VLCD's so it's not bad. I made "chili" last night with a ton of spices (and it's still not spicy to me!), 96% lean ground beef and stewed tomatoes. I even put some crackers in them (I've used unsalted round crackers in other rounds and did fine). I don't do the melba or grissini but those crackers are a lifesaver. I didn't eat any protein yesterday for lunch so I'm doing the same today to see if it works again. I have an apple and pickles for lunch (the pickles are low sodium and 0 calories) then I'll have more chili for dinner. I have enough chili for today - Friday for dinners so I should be good. TOM came overnight (yay) so I'm expecting slower losses. I definitely didn't expect 1.2 for today because I also woke up at 4:15 with BF.

It's freezing here today and tomorrow. My car started fine and so did BF's so I was extremely thankful for that!

    I quit!

I give up. I honestly don't know if it is my own lack of Mental Strength or the hcg vial was out of date, but I am back UP the .6 I was down yesterday and was up on Sunday and was down on Friday. Come ON! I am on day 10 and have lost my load weight.

I have had slow rounds before, but the ONLY time I have done this badly was on hcg from the spa I went to, on a short round to get off a few pounds, like this, that I'd gained over the holidays. I argued with them that they could not hand out 30 day supplies because hcg does not hold its potency that long and even though they only gave me 23 days worth, since they thought hcg was good for TWO YEARS once it was mixed, which just ain't so, I was suspect about how long ago they'd mixed it. I lost nothing in the first week and gave it up and blamed the hcg . And again, It MIGHTA BEEN ME.

Regardless, I'm done for now. Probably best to just wait until I am fully recovered from the upcoming surgery in Mid-Feb. My eating habits are at least better: I'm back to cooking for myself, and should be able to continue and I have no longings for cookies or junk. Cheese maybe, but not Oreos.

So, I'll probably stay on this site and cheer on the rest of you and circle back around some time in April if I don't lose just doing P3 style eating, which CAN happen and has before.

Mental readiness is 90 percent of it and if you have physical stuff going on too its rough.

Pearly! Doh! Hope you're able to get your head back into the game more easily after your surgery. Until then, enjoy some cheeeeeeese.
And I think you should follow up on that dream job! Maybe they're slow at getting their shiz together. At my company, we're always waiting our 3rd party recruiting group and pestering them for candidates for our open positions.

    Week 1 VLCD results: -1.8, -1.0, -1.4, -1.4, -1.2, -0.4, +0.6

Kansas: Hot always takes away my appetite too! That's why I was disappointed with my chili Hot drinks do the same though so I had a little coffee this morning.

Pearly: COMPLETELY understandable. What's the point in "starving" yourself if it's not working? Maybe get some new HCG between now and then and see if that helps. I've had rounds like that too but I quit after a few days, so you're better than me! lol I agree with Kansas too - mental readiness is 90% of this game. That's why I didn't start on 1/1 like I planned.

I'm not as hungry today as I have been the last couple days. I had my apple and I'll eat my pickles a little later. Looking forward to the chili! I remember a round or two where that was all I could eat (chicken and eggs were sickening). Chicken doesn't seem too bad to me right now but I'd rather eat my leftover chili than cook chicken and not eat all the chili. Waste not, want not!

Thanks for the support, evah buddy! I just can't FAIL at one more thing right now.

And Kansas, I'm so glad you are here. You ALWAYS make me spit my coffee across the room when I read your posts. I needed that! P

    Morning all,

Pearly---I bet once you get your surgery behind you.........you will bounce back mentally and be back in the game. You were already eating nice and clean!! I debated for a week as to whether I thought I had the mental strength to persevere 30 days with all the family and parental crap I have going on. I wasn't sure if I could do it. So far so good. But...........upcoming surgery is a big mental deal. Give yourself a break!!

Lemon---hopefully tomorrow will make up for today. I was the same weight on VLCD # 6,7,8th. GRRRRR! I was so mad......I just ignored it. LOL. (i did take the lean beef away and switched to chicken).

Charlie--I love your great attitude! Thank goodness you listened to your gut. We must be an advocate for our health......and a strong one.

sdwis--I sure wish thinking about food made ME nauseous!!! PRETTY PLEASE!!!!!!!

Diesel----I don't think you can get any busier!! Wow.....congrats to your daughter! (and of course the driver behind it all)!!

April--I'm playing a fun match tomorrow. I am slightly worried about my stamina. I plan to eat some egg whites and spinach before I play and I have one last EAS advantage protein drink left. No sugar in them. They have stopped making them. UGH! I hope I won't need it and just munch on apple sliced if I feel weak-ish.

Kansas--I make the chili too with the 96% fat free ground beef. I was cold and hungry last night and just had chicken. So, I mixed the shredded chicken with no salt rotel tomatoes, added low sodium chicken broth.........and tossed in a cup of shredded cabbage. I thought to myself.......REALLY.......chicken cabbage tomato soup? LOL.......it was good and the added spices warmed me up.

AFM--I'm freezing......the HCG type chill. So glad I'm not in the part of the country that is REALLY REALLY cold. I'm VLCD #9 and down a total of 7.4 lbs. I already had a mini stall, so hopefully I'll skip my usual 10 day stall. I usually loss 10lb. the first 10 days and then lose the last 5-7 at a snail's pace. So, something ain't right here!! I don't want to go and start changing my goals yet! I just dropped by Trader Joes to stock up on "rabbit food". I'm not tired of salads yet and so far so good with looking at chicken. I'm going to stay away from beef for a few days. (Trader Joe's has 96% fat free beef) I bought some because I know I can't manage chicken twice per day for very long. I'm not eating beef until I get to 10Lbs. (which will break me into the 130's)!! I've got some fish that I bought at whole foods before I started. It's frozen.....I can't bring myself to unfreeze it. UGH.

You guys with the extreme weather stay safe! KMac

Pearly, Best wishes on your surgery & a speedy recovery.

Congrats to everyone with losses! WhoopWhoop!

I am up .4 today, but TOM came. I wasn't hungry after increasing my dose yesterday, yay!

I am a little jealous of those that don't even want food on this.

  12. #228
Kell: Seems like you got your dosage down! TOM is a beast. We're in sync! lol

KMac: That soup actually sounds good! I feel like I'm gonna be eating a lot of soup this round with the -40 degree wind chill lol

It'll be about another 2 hours before I eat my chili and I'm looking forward to it. I may add some more chili powder before I warm it up for a little spice but it's ok the way it is too. I put a little Truvia in it because I like sweet and spicy. Hopefully TOM doesn't ruin my 1+ lb. losses. I need as much as I can get!
