Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - Jumping into January

  1. #61
Happy New Year! Iíve been MIA too!!

    Round 1: 140.6
    Age: 39
    Height: 5í2Ē
    Weight lost: -14.8
    LIW: 125.8
    Lost Inches: 19.5Ē2
    Current weight P3 day 43: 123.2
    Current total lost: -17.4
    Current total inches: 22.5Ē

Iíve continued strict keto throughout the holidays and Iím still calling it p3. Iím still learning about Trim Healthy Mama and trying to decide if I want to incorporate it. Iím fluctuaring between 125.4-123.2. Iím really liking the ease of keto and not wanting to have to think about the new rules of THM. So for now I think I stick with keto for a while while I continue reading and evaluating THM. I got the audible version of ďThe PlanĒ which is making it tough for me to visualize, since I canít look at it...

Blue!! - glad to hear everything is going well, congrats on the house!

Girl - great job with your consistency. What works usually is something that your going to stick to so if you feel Keto is the right choice, go for it!

Kim- You go Girl! Rocking the TESS

    Kar - curious to the 3.0, I'm debating a 2.0 round

AFM - weight has been dropping back to a more normal high with just watching what I am putting in my mouth and actually being conscious if I am hungry or not. A big red flag for me is crossing my legs, when that become a challenge then I really get hard on my self about my weight. I carry most of it in my thighs so every pound counts. We leave Monday for Toronto and I am super stressed which isn't helping things but if you can think happy thoughts and hopefuly the renewal goes smoothly and we will be home by Thursday at the latest. Its scary cause I am leaving my kids (with a friend) and if something bungs up we can get caught in Canada and not being able to re-enter until its figured out. That's the worst cause scenario but for me that is a what has my focus cause I am a worry wart.

Good luck Diesel! We thought about driving through Canada on the way to dad's memorial service but were too concerned something would come up, especially since we had to take our dogs with us. Playing it safe, we drove through Ohio instead. I'll keep thinking good thoughts for you

AFM, no weighing this morning. 2.0 recommends not weighing during P2 except once a week - I'm totally good with that.

Pearly: THANK YOU for sharing that. I think it helps to talk (type) it all out sometimes. If you don't get it out, it just stays in and festers. You're doing this round for YOU and YOU are the most important person. I completely understand the lonely feeling. I have 1 friend and she never talks to me. If I didn't have my mom to talk to every day I'd have no one talking to me. BF is there but sometimes he just doesn't understand. It's rough in these streets, so hang in there!

AFM: BF did the last part of his hiring process yesterday. It seems like it went well and he's passed one of these things before. I'm a mix between excited and anxious. I'm hoping he gets a call today to say it's all complete and he's *fully* hired. Also hoping he gets a call today so I can stop worrying and start P2 without any stress on Monday!
    LDW: 152.2 from last round

    New round
    Starting weight: 156.0
    Current weight: 146.8
    LDW: 147.0

Caught up on the last two pages..Pearly hang in there..Blue awesome on the house.
I was 152.3 today. Cleaned it up the last couple of days. I will load on the 19th and 20th after my colonoscopy on the 18th. No particular plans on the round, but I want to be done by hubby's bday on the 18th and able to feel good in P3. I am hoping this is my last round for awhile..we will see. I have been mindful, but have had some good junk then cleaned it up.
I have been hovering about here since p4 started with a little up...and then it comes back down .

Diesel I remember you. Iím here day day 8 of VLCD. 1st day no loss but I woke up at 5am so Iím not surprised. Starving today too. Iíll adjust my injection down tomorrow. It may also be that I waited until 12:30pm to eat my lunch and it was too long.
Iím usually awake 8am so 4-5 until lunch is ok but awake at 5am means today was 7 hours. I should have adjusted lunch a bit earlier I think.
Itís snowing and that makes me happy. I live in Chicago and I love snow.

Great day...minus 2lbs!! Day 11, down 11 lbs. I have never had a round like this but I used to be a cheater. Also it’s my 1st time using Nu medical for my supplies. I’m very happy and grateful.
Yesterday was tough but I got through it. I could tell fat was burning off. I’m in full ketosis as the stick turned deep purple. I test my urine with the ketostix. Today I made stir fried Bok Choy with 100 grams of diced grass fed sirloin. It was so good. I used chopped fresh ginger and garlic and 1 scallion with some veg broth and a dash of coconut aminos. The Bok choy is always filling and I prefer it to cabbage. Hope everyone else is good.

P2D17... stalled for a few days... it's all good

    Good morning, Lovelies!
TESS hasn't given up any love for quite a few days, but at least I haven't gained. It's all good. There will be a WHOOSH! of water retention departing my body at some point. I don't worry about stalls; they are temporary.
Hope everyone has a great day!

    VLCD results... Week 1: -6.6, Week 2: -1.8, Week 3 -1.4, Week 4: -1.2

Good for you, Kar. You are so right. There are no such things as stalls. Just prepping for a woosh!

I did not load this weekend.

I did not even mix this weekend.

I did make myself rather sick on Oreos.

Sigh. I have a Big Fight coming this morning with my Board. They just re-wrote my job description to take all of the managerial responsibilities onto themselves (which means they won't get done) and effectively made my job into an admin. At their last meeting, I made a presentation about all the things that I do that are not in the original job description, as they have had women in this position who were pretty hopeless, and who had only secretarial experience (from back when they were actually called secretaries) and I upgraded this job by loads. My title is General Manager, so it was not supposed to be an admin position. All I wanted was a new title to match what I do, so they said they would re-write the job. Well, they did and the downgraded it. Evidently I am threatening someone or just plain ticking them off. Well, I wanted out of here. It may be today.

So, I was not in the mood to mix or load. I may very well be by tonight.

    Onward!

PearlyMae, so sorry about that. Sounds like itís time to fly the coup. Theyíre demonstrating they want all the benefit but donít want to pay anything.

Scope creep in job duties happens too frequently (and more so to women?). Itís something Iím hyper vigilant about now that Iíve decided Iíll be looking for jobs in a month. Iím so nervous.

    ******

I need to check in! Day 13 and Iím down 9.6 pounds! These are phenomenal losses versus my first round of hcg 6 years ago, but I also weighed 30 pounds less 6 years ago sooo...

I have a lot of ďabnormal fatĒ around my middle from the pregnancy so Iím glad Iím on hcg for targeted weight loss. My friend is also six months post partum and sheís getting toned but not losing any inches off the waist from her high intensity work outs. I keep telling her to give hcg a try.

I officially lowered my dose to 125iu and seem to be fine. Like really remarkably fine. I donít get very hungry or dizzy (minus that one episode of tachycardia) and Iím not obsessing about each VLCD or conniving ways to cheat like I would in the past. I guess it helps Iím busy with a 6 month old.

We also decided somewhat suddenly we want to move. If the mortgage gets approved, weíre looking at a Feb 2 move date.

So right in the middle of my hcg.

This is the third time this has happened!

When change happens it seems to come all at once. Also. I hate packing but Iíll try to channel some Marie Kondo type energy.

Pearly: Re-writing job descriptions is normally not a good idea at any time. They can't really get a good grasp on what you do on a day-to-day unless they have someone spend the day with you. Hopefully it works out there but if not, know you have options. Plenty of people are hiring and would kill to have your expertise.

I didn't load either over the weekend because BF still hasn't heard back about his job prospect. He needs this job more than anything even though he already has 2 part-time gigs. This would be his career and he'd be able to do everything he's always wanted to do. It's so frustrating to have to wait for someone to call. I know it's only been less than 2 business days but still. I just hate waiting So, I'm not really in a good place to start P2 at all. Until he hears something I won't be able to be in the right mindset to think about losing weight. Way too much stress right now

Hi everyone Very busy couple of days, we just closed on our house today so we've been getting multiple quotes for flooring, landscaping, plastering - whew! Now that we officially own this lovely home, we can do the face lift it REALLY needs! It's like walking into 1982 for heavens sake! Seeing as how this is the first home hubby and I have purchased together, we went to a celebratory lunch. Throwing caution to the wind, I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and a couple of fries - and darn it, I enjoyed them! Tomorrow, back on the straight and narrow though I really don't want to see the scale for the next few days. I'm heading into week 3, time for me is flying by which I hope continues. I'll be really busy with the new house, painting, packing, getting settled in. Perfect time to be on hcg - makes the whole food thing pretty easy, especially 2.0! This weekend I have a baby shower for a lovely previous co-worker and friend. They tried for over 10 years with no success, then BAM, surprise! I simply couldn't be happier for them. Next weekend is a family gathering for our niece who is turning 18 and I've been hired to do a couple dozen cookies for a baby shower. Um, yeah, did I say BUSY?? Hee hee, but I love all of it

lemon - good luck on your mortgage and move!! I hope you get the mortgage approval ASAP so you can move forward with everything.

Pearly - I've worked myself into all consuming positions as you describe, never being on the receiving end of good news when the job description is revised. You can always look around and see what's available, never hurts to look. I'm a firm believer in the old adage "when one door closes, another door opens". This may be the time you have something really good fall into your lap.

hcg - Good luck to your boyfriend! It really does sound like he'd be in a wonderful position. And yes, MAN is it frustrating waiting for THAT phone call!

Kar - dang TESS! She's always messing with us, isn't she?? Sounds like you're handling the slow down pretty well though. Hang in there, there's sure to be a whoosh heading your way

I'm doing a long round with every 7th day being my skip day. First week I was at 150IU (I always start there), had some hunger issues, felt somewhat better after 4pm on my first skip day so I reduced my dosage. This week, I've been at 125IU, but I'm wondering if my dose is still a tad high because I've still had some hunger issues though not as much (I've done multiple rounds, heard you typically need less in subsequent rounds). Tomorrow is my normal skip day, I'm very curious how I'll feel after 4pm tomorow. Won't surprise me at all if I need to further reduce just a bit.
