I guess what sort of potential damage would that cause? Seems like interruptions are more for longer periods of time compared to just one meal, am I wrong?
To do an interruption, you have to transition off the HCG while still doing the low calorie diet. THEN, you have to stay on the interruption for a minimum of 4 days. So you are correct, an interruption is not an option if you only talking about one meal. The best things is to keep the incident to that one meal, and then continue on plan. You can have a 4-5 day loss set back from such a divergence from the protocol, but you'll eventually get back on track.

Thanks sdwis and Leez for the advice!

So this book came in the mail today and Iím super stoked to start reading it. Just wish the cover was a little more discreet so I could read it at work without caring what others think.

Yes. Maximum interruption is 14 days to return to P2 without reloading.

Wow. What a depressing picture on that cover. That would put me off even reading the book.

Agree on the cover. Can you make or buy a book cover - remember how we used to cover books wayyyyy back when in school?

Hope all is going well, I'm going to draw blood next week so I am ready to get back on the horse. Was planning out our summer for our nanny and it looks like the 'same old same old' busy busy busy. Oh well, that's how I love it. Just need to emotional be set that food is fuel and not a reward system.

I was thinking the same thing about the cover or possibly making it like a mini vision board. We will see haha.

Has anyone done mini steak days in P2?

I was maintaining around 143 after my last round. I gained 4lbs loading, and I cannot lose anything more than my load weight!!!

Iím on VLCD 10 and am at the same pre-load weight I started at. Iím going insane. Iíve cut the fruit out and exchanged for an extra protein the last couple days - and still NOTHING!

Has anyone done mini steak days in P2? I canít remember how to do them.

I have an appt with my doc today and I know sheís going to tell me to up my calories and increase vegetables.

Iím using shots and doing OP - not sure whatís going on. The only rogue things I have are either almond or flax milk in my coffee (both have less than 3g fat for a whole cup) and SF flavored syrups. Iím cutting those out today and moving back to liquid Stevia.

    Arrrrgghhh!!!
Ended last round: 142ish, maintained around 143.
    Loading: got up to 146.8
C/W 142.6, have been hovering between 142.2 and 143.5 for the last 7 days...

Thanks. I am really torn. Enjoy a P3 Mother’s Day and finish P3 and then P4 or pick up and continue the round... which type of round is more successful in your experience, Leez, one with an interruption or one without? I want to lose another 20. I lost 20 this 23 day round! Thanks!

Mairi, once you have completed 23 doses, you can transition off to either P3 or an interruption (in which you also eat P3 style). Since you did so well (amazing losses really) I would consider the interruption for up to two weeks, and then do your remaining 17 doses. Many people find that the interruption actually increases the loss rate afterwards in comparison with the last few weeks of an uninterrupted round. At the worst, it doesn't change your overall loss progress.

That would also mean you wouldn't have a waiting period before you could start losing again in another round.

I am surprised by that loss as well. Did not expect it at all. Happy though
I will continue the round tomorrow, and just have a little sip of wine on Mother's Day since we are going to the winery, and take the loss. Thanks!
I m not sure I will do another round after this coming one since I will be so close to goal weight even if I lose 15 pounds. I will either have to live with them, or do something else, but I think I can live with them. You mention 17 doses, but I assume those are shots, counting the no shot days? I am using HHCG and counting on another 23 days. No?

I think what's drawing me to this diet is the fact that hunger is supposedly reduced while you're on the HCG, something I've struggled with on most other diets. I don't have much weight to lose, maybe 20 pounds, but it is very stubborn and has been this way since my 40's. This weekend I'm clearing all the junk food out of the kitchen. Following diets is easier for me if i don't have the temptation in the house. Does anyone have dosage suggestions for post - menopausal women? I've read elsewhere the dose used is sometimes lower?
    Hi!
    Not reduced: gone.
Same dosage for post menopause, and adjusting down if hungry (in most cases)
Also, I don't know if you are doing a short or long round, but to make sure you get those 20 pounds off, I'd suggest a long round. When you reach goal, you can stop (if after 23 days) or add calories to not lose more until the end of the round. Someone will correct em if I am wrong. I am just saying this because typically we don't lose 1 lbs a day so a 23 day round would not be long enough.
    Good luck!!!

    Good morning, Lovelies!

    Welcome, Kayla!

Bzblonde, I'd go for the old school bookcover, too.

Mairi, if your only cheat will be a little wine on Sunday, that may not even impact you.

It's P2D19 of VLCD for me. The last 7 days have netted a whopping 0.6 pound loss. Not impressive, but c'est la vie. I did lose more than I expected during the first 11 days and I know the protocol is working even when the scale doesn't show it. (Pounds and Inches) The last few pounds are always the hardest to lose.

All this planned interruption talk has be curious... I've never done one, but now I wonder if it would get me to goal easier. Today is my 21 day on HCG. I could transition, interrupt for 4-5 days (Mmmmm cheese), and then resume P2 for a week or whatever. Thoughts?

Hope everyone has a great day!

(7 pounds were lost in a previous round. They still live in my ticker for motivation.)
