Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - MARVELOUS in MAY!!!!

  1. #61
Didn't weigh myself today (I simply forgot ) but I am enjoying today with clean deli roast beef and spinach salad, with strawberries, a few pieces of Lilly's chocolate, and a small glass of wine. Perfect. I will have BBQ lean steak for dinner with a cucumber salad so beef twice. It has never bothered me so we'll see. Not POP but not far off either and I hope to just have maintained. Or lost since I didn't weigh today ha. Maybe that is why, unconsciously, that I forgot.

A happy Mother's Day to all who celebrate. Much comfort to those who grieve.

    Good morning, Lovelies!

Thanks for your input on PI (Planned Interruption)

I transitioned off hCG. PI eating begins today. Or I should say, "began" today. No net loss since my last dose, so I'm very glad I decided to try this little break. This PI may be just what I need to kick things back into gear. I'll resume hCG and VLCD (very low calorie diet) Saturday.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Week 1 VLCD results: -1.8, -1.0, -1.4, -1.4, -1.2, -0.4, +0.6

LOVELY LOSERS 2019 - MARVELOUS in MAY!!!!

Hey guys! I fiiiinaly started losing. Iíve been at the same weight basically the entire first two weeks (142-143) and I finally started dropping the last two days. The only thing Iím doing different is... (drum roll please)...

I cut out almond milk in the evening and artificial sweeteners. I had been having a nightly drink that consisted of about 1/4 to 1/2 cups unsweetened almond or flax milk and hot water with a zero calorie sweetener - I figured those 15 calories were fine, itís only 1.5g fat. But APPARENTLY NOT. Whatís odd is that I put almond milk (probably 1/8-1/4c) in my coffee in the morning because I avoid dairy and that seems to be fine - but if I do it at night, itís a no go. ...so maybe itís the artificial sweetener (sucralose) that was causing the issue.

I also had a larger serving of protein the last two nights. Iím not sure which of these is causing my losses, but Iím going to do exactly the same thing the next few days and see if the pattern continues.

Whatever is happening, Iím super excited - also, Iím annoyed because it feels like I wasted the first two weeks of my injections, but going to keep a positive mental attitude and just try to get to goal with the rest of the time I have left. (VLCD 16 today)

    Enjoy your interruption!

Ack, Yayforfun! That must be frustrating and a relief you figured it out. Wishing you the best on the remaining days. You sure are perseverant!

AFM 167.2 today! So 2.6 down over 3 days since I started again. I'll take it!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Yay, you did not waste those two weeks! You were losing, the losses were just masked by water retention. All good.

I am taking my first diet break since February - meaning I am not tracking macros the next week. Flying to Israel tomorrow - wish me luck!

    Have a fabulous trip, GLCG!!!

Down to 166.6 this morning. 11 days to go. I should be able to get to 161 this round if losses maintain the same. This means another round potentially for those last 10 pounds. Or be happy at 160. Decisions, decisions.

Did my blood work yesterday so starting tomorrow I will be doing a two week period of gluten, dairy, soy, sugar free with limited caffeine. God help me lol, and no hcg to get through it but it isn't reduced calories just eliminating foods. Trying to follow the Hashimoto's diet to see if that makes a difference.

Good for you, Dieselsmom. You can do anything for two weeks! Well, not anything anything but you know what I mean. Were you diagnosed with Hashimoto's or are you just trying out the diet to see i it makes a difference? I am asking because you don't have to have Hashimoto's to respond well to a gluten and dairy free diet. I had to do an auto-immune diet for a while to heal my gut but now seem fine at least eating dairy and nuts. I don't eat gluten, or gluten free alternatives for that matter unless they are also really low carb, because it is usually loaded with other processed stuff.

AFM, weighed myself after coffee today and was the same weight as yesterday. I ate something I don't typically eat: dried apples slices. They are way higher in carbs than an apple so maybe that is why. I am sticking to my meal plan from now on just in case Come on last little pounds!

My antibodies are slowing increasing each time I do bloodwork but I know I have thyroid issues obviously since i medicate for it but have also had chronic pain for many years so finally getting my thick head around to trying to find food alternatives that make me feel better. I won't be fully off all foods forever but the gluten and soy more than likely are no-no's for the foreseeable future. Trying to stay away from the "gluten free products" and trying to eat as natural as possible.

If I feel better than it is worth it. Need to find a gluten free beer to use long term as I am a beer girl not a huge fan of hard liquor.

There is a whole section on how to dilute! Looks under the basic info link!

Hi all!! Ok, so I ate all my meals by 3pm yesterday and fasted the rest of the day to try and get a loss. And it worked!! Iíve been stuck at 140.4-140.7 and this morning I FINALLY dropped into the 130ís!! And 138.7 at that! Iíll do a regular day today and then another heavy fasting day Friday to make sure I lock it in. Iím near the end of my round - VLCD 19. Iíll want to make sure I stay in 130ís before moving on to P3. I want my 2lb window to be fully in the 130ís.

Also - I totally shouldnít be this excited about something so insignificant, but man does it feel like an accomplishment.
