Yay, it's October. It's the end of another 16 hour work day, but this time I used my hour break between jobs to shop for a great deal on chicken for bone-in, skin-on chicken for the family. It didn't all fit in the freezer and/or fridge, and hubby needs a lunch for work tomorrow, so i put 5 breasts in the oven, 2 in the crock pot, and whipped up a batch of instant mashed potatoes. Simple meal was ready for our adult son when he got home at 10 and then he helped me put it all away. Now I won't have to cook any meat for them for days!

I have not been very good about eating right. I get to day 4 or 5 and then start rationalizing that I have just started and I can make up for a cheat... I only do this late at night when I am in pain and I get SO mad at myself the next day.

My current weight is back to my starting (pre-loading) weight...250. I know what I need to do. I just need to stick to it, no excuses. I am not going to use this setback as a reason to give up, but will keep going from here.
Hey, I'm Roni (Ronnie) I bought a ticket on the Onederland Express! Come along and enjoy the ride!

    Restarting Round 3

    **** Original Protocol ****
    Round 1 LDW: 240.8 (-31.4)
    Round 2 LDW: 230.6 (-41.6)
Weight loss totals include loading weight from Round 1 only.

Kar- I bet some of your weight gain is inflammation. Hopefully, it will drop off quickly. I really hate doing a round for 10-15 pounds because the scale plays major games with me during the whole round when I’m not far from goal. The round I just did was like this. Toughest round I’ve ever done, but I did hit goal, so I’m happy I did the round.

pearly- you made it! Yay! A day eating on track should take those extra pounds right off. Amazing how much weight gain a cheat can cause, I mean, I bet those cookies you ate didn’t weigh over 2 lbs...right??!!

Mo - hang in there and hopefully the opposite is true about your travels this time, and the scale will go DOWN now that you’re home.

Tight- I am an emotional night eater too, so I know the feeling. I’m in P3 but I had one of those nights Friday night. I had a really bad binge. I spent the next 2 days trying to make up for it.

After my Friday night cheat, I spent Saturday and Sunday trying to make up for it. Sunday I did a steak day. Woke up on Monday to a whooping almost 5 lb loss! Crazy! (In an awesome way)! I didn’t post about it yesterday because I knew I would gain back after resuming a day of normal P3 eating, because I always do....this morning I had gained back 1.8 lbs and I am OK with that because I am still 1 whole lb UNDER LIW! Y’all, this is the first time ever I’ve been under my LIW in P3! I hope I can stay here (pretty please)!!

Thanks, Coco, for the new site! I started this in August this year and never thought I'd still be here in OCTOBER. Obviously, I have not been trying my hardest-- at least not consistently.

Just: ha! You are so right! I did NOT eat 2 pounds of cookies. Congrats on that great woosh! I have had a couple of those, 4 or 5 pounds overnight and kept at least some of it! Awesome. Wish I'd have one TODAY.

Roni, we were just talking about how we all like to sort of make up our own little protocol 'adjustments' that may or may not work ---usually NOT---and then get mad when we don't lose. LOL. Not every day is a diamond, but every day is a chance to start again!

Jessie, I have a really hard time with Lonely Coffee (black), too. The allowed tablespoon of milk just makes it sort of pitiful. Of late, I have been using a bit of my chocolate Pure Protein drink in mine >>>NOT PROTOCOL<<< (as if I had to tell anyone that!) and it has been working for me. So far. At least, when I have gains, THAT was the least of my cheats, and I've had it and lost the next few days, so can't point to that as a problem.

As I am pretty sick of salads, and really just don't have time right now to make them in the morning for lunch and then try to eat them with one hand while I type with the other at work... I have tried those protein drinks as lunch a few times. Yesterday, I was too hungry for just one of those and had to go to the bank in a grocery store over lunchtime anyway so picked up some cottage cheese and had that, too. But last night I was NOT hungry and way too tired to fix anything, so had one about 8 pm when I started to feel a bit empty. I think Pro and several others use protein drinks on occasion, but this is the first I've tried. I don't really like 'shakes' or 'smoothies' but this one is more like chocolate milk, so I can handle it.

I am down 1.4 of the 2.4 I popped up yesterday, and feeling pretty good. I still have a lousy THREE plus pounds to go, for heaven's sake! So slow. But I've had more LIFE than usual and much more distraction and STUFF going on than I did at my old job, where I just sat around waiting for the day to be over so I could sleep and weigh again. So, all things considered, I'm not gonna beat myself up for not being exactly protocol. As long as I get there, I don't mind the journey being at a slow pace. I would not have lost at all if I hadn't been doing this. Maybe I will be more stable than when I lose quickly. Says here.

    Onward all!

Mo, hi! Well, today is P3D17 and I'm 1.4# BELOW LIW! I don't know WHY this P3 has been so kind, but I'm loving it. I've had ONE day of being over my LIW, the rest I've stayed up to a couple pounds under.
Don't forget, travel tends to make you hold water weight anyway, so try not to freak out. We ares tarting out two day drive to FL in a couple weeks, I already made up my mind to eat high protein and NOT weigh for a couple days when we return. On the road, I buy our little travel snacks and drinks other than coffee, so no issue there. Stopping to eat, we're really selective where we go, so I have great control over that aspect as well. Hopefully, the trip won't be to harsh on me, but, I definitely have a plan in place

Kar, that's what I'm ALWAYS afraid of happening!! If I miss days weighing in, I put it off just because of the fear I've packed on a ton of weight. That fear alone makes me delay TESS even more, its a vicious cycle, ugh. Great plan to get a handle on it and reigh it in!

Pearly, we've had the absolute pleasure of our little six year old neighbor coming and visiting, playing with our three dogs. But, I'll tell ya', it sure is exhausting!! Holy smokes, hubby and I have been pooped all weekend just trying to keep up.

Today, just doing some cleaning and starting getting odds and ends together. It's rainy, not great out, but perfect for puttering around inside.

Happy October everyone! How exciting that the holidays are almost here! My favorite time of year! P3 is going well have not gone over. And my daughter is doing a lot better since starting her meds and will head back to school tomorrow! They had Monday and Tuesday off this week.

Hey! Every time I open this site lately, I have to sign in. It doesn't 'remember me' no matter how many times I click on the remember me box. My problem is remembering how to spell PearlyMae! Space or no space? Mae or May? y or ie... Sheesh. My actual real live name is Polly, which I can remember how to spell most of the time. Pearl is my DOG. LOL. Her full name is Minnie Pearl "Pearlie Mae JoySong" Zsa Zsa Gabor Movie Star Dog aka Toothless the First. He sister dog is Penny Sue Sunshine-Eva Gabor-Miss Suspicious-Pretty Dog. Anyway.image.jpgimage.jpg Here is an old pic taken after I mowed the lawn when it was wet, and let them out too soon. I need to add GreenPawDogs on to the end of their names.

Man, it is nice to be a bit more rested. I have gotten so much done and not felt like I was swimming uphill in a molasses tsunami.

So happy everyone is doing well.

Now WHY did I open this reply? Oh well. Tomorrow!

Yep! I do that every time I update my ticker or it won't show the changes! However, that is a new. I didn't used to have to do that. P

ALMOST where I was before the weekend. But at least I am making progress. Oh, please, a 3 pound woosh would be good! LOL. P

Pearly, your Schnauzers are gorgeous! We have a nine year old silver male, Stanley. Their personalities are precious, it would be amazing having two

Today, down to 182.4#, two pounds under LIW. Not trying to stay below at all, but SO appreciative of it! Have most of my packing done, will do clothes next Thursday/Friday after final laundry. We've started leaving a lot here instead of trying to cart it back and forth, which helps a lot. Today is in the low 70's, tonight in the 40's, and only up to 50 tomorrow! Yup, the season has definitely changed!!
