I hear ya, Pearly! I won't be able to bring myself to prepare any poultry for a while. I will still occasionally eat it, but there's no way I can deal with coming into contact with any part of a raw bird. That happens to me toward the end of every P2. I need a long recovery period.

Hey all, especially you long-timers lurking behind the trees (you know who you are!)

Very sad news to post. Kar and I have been on the Caring Bridge site for our long time friend and Lovely Christy, as she bravely fought cancer. Out of the blue, posts of condolences to her family started coming in, and Kar found a posting of her obituary. Although her battle had been going on most of this year, this seemed sudden, as last I heard from her in late summer was good news and hopeful news, as well as the not good news that her battle was continuing. I suppose it was like her to let us all in on the positive and keep the scary stuff to herself. She even celebrated being a size 4! Heck of a way to get there, tho.

She was one miracle of a firecracker combined with a heart as big as her beloved Texas and I can't imagine the world without her.

Coco, yes, sadly the same Christy.
As Pearly said, her last update was very positive, particularly compared to the prior one. Yet even when she shared bad news, she always wrote it with hope and focus on possibilities. It was easy to believe she would beat it, despite the odds.

Oh, wow, so sorry about the loss of your friend, Lovelies! 😥 Sounds like she was a wonderful person. May you all hold on to & share those precious memories of her.

Makes some of the things I'm up against seem so trivial. But, it also helps me to try & remember to live life to the fullest. So many things that aren't that important in the grand scheme of things.

It has been important for me to try and get myself back in shape & healthy. I have 12 grandchildren to keep up with!

My weekly weigh in isn't til tomorrow, but I took the liberty to go ahead & measure (which I forget to do) & I have lost 1 1/2 inches in my waste since I started this round. I knew I was bloated! Ha!

Pearly- loved your encouraging words. Your take on our "food - centric" society is so true. Before I started this new round I glanced over my calendar & immediately picked out times that could be roadblocks for me. Helps to prepare yourself. I also felt less tempted to eat things I shouldn't as I also did this most times on P3/4.

Oh, I too am getting "queasy " about chicken!! 🤢

Have a great Tuesday & don't forget to vote! 🇱🇷

Stand Firm & Stay Focused! 😳

I'v been a long time Lovely Loser myself. I haven't been on much this past year. Partially because I missed Christy so much. I had no idea she as battling cancer. I'm very sad to her of her passing she was such a light. I looked forward to her posts and conversations so much. This is very sad news indeed.

Hey everyone! Hope all is well! Same old same old over here. Just still dealing with my daughters Health issues. She still has not made it back to school its been since October 4th that she was there. We are trying to get her set up on homebound which would be that a teacher would come tot he house about 4 hours a week to teach her the material. I am well into P4. I need to kick myself in the butt to get started on my weight loss again. As I still have a few pounds Id like off.

Lovely Losers 2019 - NO STOPPING in NOVEMBER!!!

Just got home from my husband being in the hospital the past two days with heart issues. He's ok now. I'm so saddened to hear about Christy. My heart goes out to her family, love one's and all that knew her here. It's just heartbreaking!

    Love and {{Hugs}} to everyone!

Well, I was up a LOT yesterday, back down today. Whew. Still not in my window, but just .6 above and yesterday I was a 1.8! Just inflammation from stress, I reckon.

I ordered Chili's fajitas to be delivered for lunch today from GrubHub. I am not rich. But I am starving. I had to run out early today and didn't pack anything for lunch or dinner and my days are the kind where I'm up at 6, get home at 10 or so and go straight to bed and start over. I flat didn't have the time or energy to pack anything today. I thought I'd run out and get a burger or a salad and I'm not going to get away, so since there is a Chili's 2 miles from here, I splurged. I'll let you know if it is worth it. I won't eat the tortillas, the rice or beans,so hope I get enough to fill me up and keep me going...or I'll probably be eating tortillas with rice and beans in them on the way to the nursing home!

Mom fell again yesterday. A mix up with the CNA in her room. She thought she was to go one way, the girl thought she was going to go another and downs she went. She had just returned from an x-ray of her broken bone from the last fall --it is healing well-- and then this! She is already on a great deal of pain meds, so my hope is that those will keep her from getting too sore from this fall. She did ice and some chair exercises to get ahead of stiffness. Oh man. Dr. on duty one day a week there, and luckily it was his day. He did not find any indication of anything broken. So far.

    Onward! P

    UPDATE:
OMG! So good. Worth every penny. Plenty of food, even without the starches. I forgot to order steak fajitas, but with all the mushrooms, peppers and onions, I forgot I can't look at chicken any longer. I'll have enough for supper, too. The thing is, I just realized this is the first HOT COOKED FOOD I've had in two weeks! (occasional fast food hamburgers don't count cuz by the time I get a chance to eat them, they've been cold.) I've been brown-bagging both lunch and dinner with quick stuff: salads, turkey slices, chicken thighs, apple, orange, etc. I don't even care if I go up. HOT FOOD. Good. P
