    Hey Guys,
    I know I haven't really been around too much in the last year or so. I would always peek around occasionally. I had just finished a short round about 3 weeks ago, lost 20 lbs in 28 days. I wanted to lose 10-15 more before the Thanksgiving. So, after three weeks of a half assed P3 I decided to start back into P2. I went to order more drops from Triumph and it looks like they are having some major ordering issues. I will probably run out of drops within two more days and I'm only on day two of this round, *smacks head*. I'm not sure what I will do. I guess just stay in P2 but increase my calories to like 1000 and see what happens.

    So my scale musta been "wacko" the other day when I saw the amazing weight loss I had! Ha! The day after I was up almost 4 lbs & I hadn't really eaten much out of the norm. Oh, well....at today's weigh in, I'm down 2.2 lbs for the week & on D15 of P2 9lbs which is good for me! Yesterday I went to the Goodwill store & my goodness what a haul I got! I needed some new jeans, etc. & hit paydirt! I even got nice dress pants w/the tags still on them! You have to dig thru the racks, but there are some good gems hidden in them!

    Sarah- I'll be traveling in P2 for a bit longer. I had wanted to do a short round & finish up by Thanksgiving, but I may do an "interruption " & try & go a week or 2 longer. I still have enough gtts left to go that long.

    Pearly- I love fajitas! I usually do them riceless, beanless, & shelless, on P3. Put on the salsa, sour cream & guac! Yummy!

    Pretty- so sorry to hear about your daughter. What is her name? I will be praying for her.

    Welp, gotta get busy now.

    Well, I'm the same. So at least the splurge only hurt my pocketbook, not my scale. I have enough left for lunch today, as I didn't take it home for dinner. because, of course, I didn't GO home. Had a protein bar I bought for my mom and she'd only eaten a pinch off the end before declaring it was terrible. I thought it was pretty good. It was supposed to taste like a maple donut with one gram of sugar and 26 g of protein. Of course, it didn't taste exactly like a maple donut, but it was in the neighborhood.

    My Mom just won't eat. It is getting to be a joke what excuse she can come up with. At first everything was too salty and she couldn't chew it. So brought her salt free broth and it filled her up too much and made her sick (less than a quarter cup.) Had meat pureed and it tastes like sand (two end of the spoon bites, less than a tsp). Eggs are slimy. Pudding is sticky. The skim milk tastes like cream (and what's wrong with THAT?) bread is stale, cookies will make her sick, too rich. She ate five bites (tiny 'tastes' not bites) of strawberry pie (just the filling) and was sick the rest of the day. Wont ever eat sweets now. We are beside ourselves to get her to eat. Won't drink protein drinks, or even gaterade. She says she drinks juice, but she only drinks about 3 ounces and then puts her napkin over the glass. Too sour. Too sweet. etc. What is wrong with stuff is endless. She claims she is trying but she has shrunk her stomach so much, two bites of anything makes her sick. Never hungry and always too full after a tsp of food. Someone suggested marijuana in a brownie, but since she won't eat a brownie, not sure how to get enough into her to help with appetite.

    As someone who is basically a SHARK, and can ALWAYS EAT, i just can't identify. I spend my days figuring out a thousand ways to avoid eating also, but because I WANT to eat. I drive by the gas station that has Krispy Kreme donuts and have to have a lengthy discussion on why I shouldn't turn in. I go by Chic Fil A and think about ice cream for next two hours. I see carrot cake in the grocery store deli case and have to race walk to the produce and stay away from that end of the store the rest of the trip. When food ads come on TV, I change the channel or punch up the Menu Guide to cover the screen.

    So sad about Christy! Such a positive bright kind person. I will miss her.

    I just was reading back and so lovely to see everyone’s posts.

    Pearly, this may not be the best idea, but when my daughter was ill mashed potatoes or another plain carb worked better than anything else.. Also, if you are trying Ensure or protein type drinks for your mom, make them icy cold and put a little 7 up in them. It is so very hard when people have no appetite, when you and I could always eat. I wish non fat milk tasted like cream to me. Think about trying mashed potatoes. That always worked or plain pasta or noodles?

    Up, down, up, down....I feel stuck! I swore i wouldn't weigh myself daily as it can frustrate me when I get in to one of these ruts! Guess what, I'm frustrated! 🤨
    Anyway, I refuse to let TSS ruin my day!

    Pearly, my mom has lost 20 lbs in the past 3 months. ☹ So hard to see her like this, but I have heard in the last stages of dementia they are not are not starving as the body adjusts to this slowing down process & reduced intake. The hunger & thirst part of the brain is not functioning properly or not functioning at all. So hard to see this as my mom has not been a very thin person in years! Don't 4get to take care of yourself!

    Karr, now it's your turn to eat some bacon for me!! 🐷

    Going to get my nails done! That will make me feel better!

    Stay focused! 😳

    Hello Lovelies,


    I have a problem this weekend. I am judging a baking contest. I did it last year and it was such fun, I had everyone talk about their best tips and biggest fails. So I was invited back this year and I really thought I could get out of tasting and just be master of ceremonies but I can’t! Too soon for a planned interruption. Today is P2 Day 10.

    Does anyone have any tips for me? I am very frustrated about this and not sure what to do. I also posted this on the loading thread as I just found out I am stuck. I would love to hear from you veterans.

    Yikes! Talk about crickets! Helloooooo! Anyone left here? LOL.

    Well, I'll start! I was up .8 yesterday,which put me a full 3.4 over goal, and out of my window. But I took it easy yesterday and today back down that .8 and at that is 2.6 over where I wanted to be. Technically, I am counting my LIW a pound lower than my actual last injection day weight. I was up a pound for the last couple of days. I hate to settle for that, but staying steady is probably more important than a number. Especially an imaginary number. Meh. If I use my ACTUAL FACTUAL last day, I'm still in my window. Okay, enough obsessing.

    Mom still a challenge. Three weeks in rehab so far. I can't see her getting out of there before Thanksgiving, and then -- unknown.

    Hello Dear Lovelies!

    First, an update on the baking contest:Good News! I applied everyone's suggestions. Thank you! I had last year's winners be the assistant judges and we evaluated the recipes together. Then I had everyone rinse with water "to cleanse the palate" between samples which gave me an opportunity to spit it out. I think everyone enjoyed learning new ways to evaluate recipes and it was a lot of fun...

    Even better, I did not gain any weight! I also did not lose any weight but 2 days in a hotel so that was also a win. So today I am back home and hopeful to continue on the right path. Thank you again for your help! I was really nervous!

    Pearly: Great job dropping that .8! No doubt more will come off. I am keeping my fingers crossed for your mom.

    Kar: Good luck in P3! I am filled with admiration that you are doing great! Can't wait to hear all your P3 tips! Great planning because you will be able to enjoy the holidays.

    I also figured out adding a ticker! Just thrilled to be conquering the very basics ha ha.

    Pearly, I love reading your post ...your hilarious ...it's free calories and entertainment! Also good advise. We could collaborate and write a book on the internal dialogue that goes on when walking by delicious foods ...EVERYWHERE! My daughter pointed out that I look weird because I take big dog sniffs when certain foods are around....I told her it's a fat free holistic sniffing method! And children should only speak when spoken to (that's a joke ...I love her honesty...most of the time)
    It's been a long tough road getting your Mom back to health. Hang in there, get lots of fur baby snuggles and be good to yourself!!
