Hey Wilson welcome to the losers group. Solid advice. I'll have to look into 2.0, I haven't been strict on the original protocol.

I was dreading weighing in today after my cheat lunch and huge portion of crab and shrimp for dinner last night but I lost 0.4 lbs.

I am off work for the next three days and I find myself eating more when I am home, I think I set myself up for failure because I wait so long to eat and then I'm starving and eat too much. So today I ate a little earlier and had egg whites, some cherry tomatoes and spinach to fill me up for breakfast to keep me from getting to that miserable point.

Hope everyone is well and ready for the weekend!

Thanks Emily. If you are stuggling with OP, you can always switch to 2.0 mid round. People have done so without adverse effects. That extra protein plus elimination of fruit and grissini/melba really helps.

    Thatís some great advice Wilson.

Good to have another guy on the Loser board! Iím not too sure HCG could be a life style change for me given the confinement of the diet.

I find most of my late years revolve around conscious commitment for better decisions. My emotional relationship with food in general is a bit broken which has led me down some interesting paths going beyond just the traditional diet and exercise.

    1. Timing eating
    2. Chewing complete and being conscious when eating - tasting the food slowly
    3. Staying active for psychological health vs physical weight loss

I think I have a couple more rounds until I get to a goal weight where you are! Iíll try the 2.0 next round! I think my wife may be supportive of the flexibility!

thanks, Jessie. The diet on 2.0 is not as confined so as ongoing maintenance, it is reasonable. I round per year to knock off the added creep weight would be optimum.

    and to your numbered points:

    1. Timing eating: absolutely. Look into intermittent fasting. I also add an IF component to my diet. I only eat between noon and 8pm. I am not going to explain as there are tons of articles available online.
    2. chewing: Yes, take your time. Allows you to do smaller servings. Most of us are guilty of this one. We wolf it down.
    3. Absolutely, stay active. It is good for everything. Gotta keep moving whatever it is. Sedentary lifestyles are a killer. But once you get older, (say over 40), diet will not save you. I play about 15 hours of tennis per week. very strenuous. If my diet is not right, I still gain weight.

Once you try 2.0, you will not want to go back to OP. But I believe it is beneficial for everybody to try OP their first go around on the diet. All follow up rounds should be 2.0.

Hi everyone does anyone drink any type of sparkling water/carbonated water during p2? I have not but I am looking for something if at all possible. I mainly stick to protocol but am kind of wanting to change it up a little occasionally. I drink a ton of water and occasionally an unsweetened tea. Thanks

All day long. Spindrift, AHA, La croix, polar and I add fresh berries. I was down two lbs today and have no idea how because I had Mexican food yesterday. I was at 161.6. So close to the 150s!!!
My friend won full legal custody in court yesterday and gets her baby back Lovely Losers 2020 - Absolutely Active in AUGUST!!
Tazo makes a passion tea that is amazing cold. No sweetener needed. Starbucks has it too and I get the biggest one possible. But I also brew it and itís Delicioushot.

I have had no issues with it. Even with the pineapple spindrift. That stuff is amazing. I have to remember to get lots of regular water but I might have 7 cans a day of seltzer water. I started at 185.6 and am at 161.6 and did a week long PI to take a break and am doing another three weeks.

Hi everyone. I have been off my devices for a while due to a very persistent migraine. This smoke is clearing and I think I am coming out of it a bit.

I had been losing very steadily this whole round, so I expected a stall as I approached my long-time set-point of 235. I hit that on the 18th. Stall was 5 days, and then I moved below it very slowly, but then suddenly the scale started jumping up and down by up to 2 pounds. I have been fighting off migraines with lots of meds, so I thought that may be part of it. Some days I am barely eating, but sipping bone broth and cucumber water to stay hydrated through the nausea. I went to Kaiser and my electrolytes are all good.

I tested my hcg thinking maybe it has lost its potency, and it immediately showed positive on the test strip. I know I just need to wait it out. I also asked hubby to put new batteries in our scale...just in case... Bingo...mystery solved!

    Here are my numbers...

Also a quick update on the ob/gyn issue. I had my exam and the Dr was just as mystified about the cause of my cramping and bleeding 8 years post-hysterectomy. He confirmed there is nothing left that could or should bleed. He did find a benign tumor, and it could occasionally bleed slightly, but it is on the outside. Due to location and heaviness of spotting, this could not account for my symptoms. His advice is to insist on same day appointment should it ever recur. He also feels the cramping was intestinal, not ovarian.

Doing a second round. I feel i did well in p3 yet ready for another round to drop another 20-25. My goal is 170. Ultimately, i would like to get to 160 but that might be too low due to my height if 5’9”. I may look too thin there. My lowest in the last 15 years has been 165.

I loaded on lots of good stuff- avocado, fage, bacon, kielbasa, eggs, butter, cheese, sour cream and coconut oil. Did a few bullet proof coffees which i LOVE. I did eat some chocolate cake and ice cream. Won’t miss those as much as cheese and meat and crispy salty snacks.

I feel good, energy good. Here we go!

I have not got caught up on posts still i hope you are all doing great! Let’s do this!

Go Natalie! It sounds like you had a great load for a great round.

P2D28 No loss today, but my face is a little swollen from the trauma of 4 rounds of shots to get and stay numb yesterday, plus 3 hours at the dentist and 2 hours in the car caused inflammation all over I am sure. I am also having a harder time breathing today because our air is SO thick with smoke and ash. I am allergic to smoke, so I pulled out my inhaler and have been using it. Already on 5 daily 24-hr antihistamines plus rx antihistimine eye drops. Even have my old epi-pen out. For some reason, I can't find my new one that came in the mail last month. Going to have to find that asap, even though I hope I never need it.

I am starting to think of P3 foods, but keep redirecting my thoughts because I am still over 2 weeks away by my estimates of doses left in the vial... P3 is my favorite part of the round! Especially since with my fluid/electrolyte issues, I don't usually do correction days, but just allow my body to rebalance unless a gain stays for a few days even with my normal treatment for fluid imbalance... I have learned SO much about food sensitivities from P3/P4, and now know most of what I can stabilize well with and when to re-introduce them, so I feel confident about it. I am just so excited about how well this round is going. Part of me wants that fast forward button to see the end results of the round, but I am truly enjoying the journey! I haven't had a true stall, and the losses have been more linear than in past rounds. I am sold on the rx injections so far...

Finally was able to log in and start my online Adult/Child/Infant First Aid/CPR/AED course today. I have to complete the online portion before attending the in person skills training/testing on Saturday, so I was getting concerned about the IT issues. A lot of the problem has been our internet service (TOO SLOW) and then the power shutoff damaging our surge protector, so everything had to be moved, and there was a setting that wasn't right when something was reset. All good now. Our son (who pays for the home wi-fi) agreed in advance to ensure nothing would update or download for the next two days while he is at work, and our daughter set up a clear window in her Mandarin lesson/chats from noon to four today and tomorrow so that I have dedicated wi-fi, and I barely have enough bandwidth for the modules to load and play. I completely understand now how frustrated a lot of parents in my area are because of distance learning, and many have more than one child trying to share their limited bandwidth! We actually have some of the best available wifi in our area... hehe... part of living here, but I would normally just attend an all day in person CPR class. COVID has changed so many things. My frustration with this is NOTHING compared to how COVID has affected so many.
T, I hope you feel better today. You are doing great staying strong.

I am 77 years old and when much younger i focused on dress size.... i think it is not important today but rather how you feel in your clothes whatever size you are. Manufacturers today have catered to womens obsession with sizing and conveniently made sizes (2, 4, 6) larger in measurements than they were 40 years ago To keep women happy. Lol.

I have not been checking into forum daily as i work every day and do not have much exciting to contribute, Happy for all that are on HCG as it is the best way to get eating habits under control. Even if i have to get creeping lbs off once every year or two with short rounds i am ok with that,

    Much success everyone,
Hi Rose, you are an inspiration. I love your encouraging words. Thank you.

Jessie, you are crushing the 1st week! Great losses!

Natalie, Our goals are very similar! I’d like to be around 165-170 by Christmas after R3 (I’m on R2) then after my races are over do a R4 and lose 15 more by the summer for an ultimate 155. Of course this all assumes I will maintain my LIW...LOL

Emily, I think jumping around the scale seems to be common before a big drop..so hoping you get a big drop tomorrow Maybe even skip 177 all together! Thank you for working on the front lines of this madness. And now without A/C..Bless you!!!

Roselanoue, you are really inspiring me with your success! I hope I can have the perseverance to maintain like you are!

Tightwad, navigating all the changes due to Covid isn’t easy and definitely frustrating. I hope you are feeling better today. P.S. I hate the dentist..strong word “hate” but yep, hate the dentist.

AFM…VLCD 7 and plugging along slowly getting down to my LIW from R1. 2 pounds to go and then I’ll 1) be at LIW and 2) everything after that will be lower than I weighed in January 2020. Small goals add up to big results is my mantra right now. So happy tomorrow is Friday!

Since Steak Days don't work for me, I just went ahead and had a homemade Cappuccino w/HWC and sugar free whipped cream topping at breakfast. drank a lot of water all day, then at dinner time had a Jay Robb Whey Protein Shake with Frozen Pineapple Chunks mixed in. I also took an Epsom Salt Bath. Voila - I'm back down by 3.4 today.

I am taking on someone else’s awful stress and need to focus. I feel really yucky after all the chips and rice and tortillas. Lesson learned.

Wanted to check in and talk about my P2 experience. Technically a R1 as the last, and only, one I did before was about 7 years ago.

I had always used exercise for weight control and knew it would bite me in the rear someday. It did when I became sedentary due to a 2-year battle with my insurance company to get a hip replacement while in too much pain to move except when absolutely necessary. At the same time my thyroid took a dump so, between the two, I gained 30 lbs in 2 years.

Lived in yoga pants as the only thing that would fit me.

Anyway, did Intermountain pellets for 45 days (P2). I 'only' lost 15 lbs but they are solid ones, as I lost 5 lbs in June before starting HCG July 3 (first load day.)

    So I'm calling it a 20 lb loss :-)

I would have lost more but I ate a little more than 500 calories, albeit in allowed foods, mostly extra protein. I was ok with that as I recently bought a house that had been long neglected inside and out and am doing a lot of heavy lifting, painting and yard work. The first week at 500 cal, I would get dizzy going up and down a ladder trimming tree branches. (Who knew buying a house was basically signing up to be a farm hand.) I'm also 66.

I knew about inflammatory water retention as a life-long gym rat but now I was able to track it more closely with my daily weigh-ins and weight log vis a vis what I had been doing the day before and how sore my muscles were. Constipation was also an annoyance because it would cause the scale to sit at the same number.

I'm now starting P3 and going to pay attention more than I did last time as I think that's where I went wrong re stablilizing.

I'm at the halfway point weight-wise but happy to stabilize here for a while before starting another round in 6 weeks.

Anyway, that's my story. Hope it encourages anyone just getting started on their first round.

My name is Miss Cast and I approve this message :-)
Hi Miss, congrats on the 20 lbs!
