    HI Lovelies,

Good news here, down a pound so no longer in the danger zone of a steak day. Leez and Coco (sdwis) gave me some great advice over on the P3 thread under Phases, P3, "Please Help! Panicking up 1.8 pounds". Navigating P3 is always an issue for me!

Have a great day and everyone sounds like we are all moving forward! Yay!

Unhappy OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE!?!?! I haven't been skipping one day a week!! AAAARGH!! :(

    HI all!

I did a booboo.....uh....see, I tried to find a good guide before I started; read a few posts. Made the mistake of not reading the original manuscript ('Pounds and Inches').....I should have!

BECAUSE...I just realized I HAVE NOT been skipping one day per week (eek!).......

It is now Day 31. I have not skipped one day.

I'm going to skip tomorrow (day 32 of a long round).........DO I skip just ONE day tomorrow, or two days to make up for not skipping during the entire protocol????

It's 9 days from my last injection. So.....idk, WHAT DO I DO????

I feel like such an idiot, lol. I hope I haven't developed immunity! Losses have been slow, but they've always been slow on all rounds I've done. I have ALWAYS skipped one day a week; this time I forgot!!

I didn't notice anything "wrong" at all; had a stall about a week and a half ago, and have since broken through. That's the only thing that was bothersome. Been relatively steady since.

SO do I skip just one day tomorrow, or two? Again, today is Day 31....that means 9 days away from my upcoming "last injection".....

    WHAT HAVE I DONE???? LOL

Please let me know what you think is best.

God, I am so mad at myself right now....AAARGH

    Rk- glad you evened out!

Jessie- congrats on your loses you are doing great

Gonnaloseit- I wouldn't worry about it. I think a lot of people don't skip doses.

As for me, I overindulged yesterday in the steak I had for dinner. I'm up a bit today but I'm not too worried about it, I felt pretty bloated yesterday and know it's about TOM. I was pretty hungry last night so I asjusted my dose a bit today. It is VLCD23 and I am halfway through my syringes and finished the first vial.

I was looking at steak sauce at the grocery store the other day and came across primal kitchen, which I knew to be a keto brand but it didn't have added fat. It was delicious! Give it a try if you like that sort of thing.

You haven't blown it. You don't have to skip in a round that is 30 dose days or less, so you are good up to now. Just skip today and then again before the end of your round. You want to have at least 3 straight dose days before you start to transition to P3. If the interval is less than seven days for the last skip day, its ok. it only needs to be 4 days in between skips.

So no one missies Coco's post....

    THANK YOU, Leez!

So here's what I'm thinking this all adds up to.

I'm doing a 'long round' (40 injections, with two days past that with no injection)....

Yesterday, when I left that frantic message, it was 'Day 31.' Today is 'Day 32.' And I skipped.

So the points to remember, that you mentioned, for my calcs:

1.) Have at least 3 straight dose days before transitioning to P3

2.) If the interval is less than 7 days for the last skip day, it's ok

3.) It only needs to be 4 days in between skips

    //CALCS//

    A.) Last injection
Now......the upcoming date of my last injection (now 8 days away instead of 9) will be September 9th. If 3 straight days are needed before transitioning to P3, then working backwards from that date, it means the following days are the '3 straight dose days' needed before transitioning to P3 are:
    09/09 [Day 40]
    09/08 [Day 39]
    09/07 [Day 38]

Leaving 09/06 [Day 36] as the latest I can skip, to avoid violating that principle -- of needing 3 straight dose days before transitioning to P3.

    B.) Time between skips
So if it 'only needs to be 4 days in between skips' then, I think that means 4 DOSE days, right? Or on the 4th day you can have another skip (which is 3 DOSE days, 4th day skip)...? Just to be on the safe side, I'm going to assume you meant there has to be 4 full dose days and on the 5th day you can skip....so the math on that works out to be, since 09/07 [Day 38] HAS to be a dose day:

    09/09 [Day 40] (dose)
    09/08 [Day 39] (dose)
    09/07 [Day 38] (dose)
    09/06 [Day 37] <--- SKIP DAY
    09/05 [Day 36] (dose)
    09/04 [Day 35] (dose)
    09/03 [Day 34] (dose)
    09/02 [Day 33] (dose)
    09/01 [Day 32] <--- SKIP DAY

    ....correct?

    C.) Last skip day
Last but not least, you said "if the interval is less than 7 days for the last skip day, it's ok"...so my math (above) SHOULD be okay....

So Leez......is everything I wrote (above) correct? Man I hope so!!!

    Please let me know.

Thanks again for the reassurance and useful information, Leez. Makes a world of difference. Means a lot! <3

Please let me know if this math works out! I believe I interpreted what you said correctly, but it's always appreciated to know I got it right.

    Yes your plan works.

Yes, you need 4 DOSE days in between skip days. You got it right.

You don't have to do the second skip day unless you want to to extend your round a little. (You continue to lose on skip days.) Personally, I would do it just to eke out every last bit of weight loss possible. But its entirely up to you. You won't jeopardize yourself by not doing it.

Hang in and finish strong. Making it to the end of any round is an accomplishement, but the 40 day rounds...that's yet another level, so celebrate! Hope you get and ending whoosh.

THANK YOU, Leez! I greatly appreciate the encouragement.

I am most definitely sticking with the second skip day. I intend to get every single bit of benefit that I can with this round -- so imho the second skip day is a must-do.

All my rounds have been 'long rounds'.....oh man. Yes, they are quite the accomplishment, let me tell ya, lol. But totally worth it; I've always been someone who lost less than others (due to thyroid issues)....but hCG has quite literally saved me from thyroid cancer -- I am positive.

    How hCG saved me

See, I'm adopted. When I first did this protocol 7 years ago (eek!)...I had no idea what my family history was; my medical history was only known as, well, my own. My biological family had never handed over medical/family history to my adoptive parents.

So before I started the protocol, my doctor at the time said, "you appear to be getting worse for thyroid function...any idea what your family history is surrounding thyroid health?" -- and of course, I had no answer. We could only assume the worst -- that something was in fact a predisposition to thyroid dysfunction, and then figure out a way to handle it. Thankfully, hCG was the way to handle it that we decided upon.

Eventually, my original birth certificate was released to me, not long after I'd finished my hCG rounds.

My biological mother's name was on it; my ability to research basically anything and find what I need to know came in handy. I found her within months of receiving my original birth certificate.

When I met her, and asked her about our family's medical history -- what "ran" in our family, she said this: "oh, well...nothing really. You know, the occasional diabetic here and there -- like any family has. The overweight uncle who never took care of himself, that sort of thing. We really don't suffer from cancer, or heart disease, or anything else like that."

So I said, incredulously, "really!!? WOW! That is great to hear. So, you...your health. You don't happen to have any chronic conditions that you're dealing with? Nothing?"

She looked at me, then said, "well, naah. Not really. I mean.....there's just that pesky thyroid thing."

Turns out she was clinically hypothyroid. 6 months later, after that conversation, she was diagnosed with stage 3 thyroid cancer. Had a complete thyroidectomy, along with chemo and radiation. She's alive, thankfully. Made it through.

So, am I thankful to hCG for getting my thyroid back on track?

    Hell yes.

It's not "just about weight" -- it's about HEALTH as well. True, lasting health.

I thank God every day for hCG...and am happy to be doing one more round -- after I did the silly thing and messed up my setpoint. Yes, sadly, that can happen too; just don't go through a super stressful physically exerting time where you throw your body into crisis (like I did, inadvertently). My body then must have "re-grown" that starvation fat -- AKA 'visceral fat' -- which then kept secreting hormones that got my thyroid and HPA axis all thrown off. Not many people realize this, but visceral fat actually is a BIOLOGICALLY active tissue. It is not merely a "storage depot" -- it secretes hormones...such as insulin. And insulin, as you may or may not know, determines muscle growth and how fat is deposited. You want insulin raised if you are burning muscle -- so you can run away from predators (according to the body)....and insulin of course is necessary if you want to survive a lack of access to food....all that. So the fact that visceral fat is able to secrete hormones makes perfect sense, when you think of it from the body's perspective. It is thinking it is helping you, of course.

    Thank God for hCG!

And now, I'm very much looking forward to that first day of P3 eating. Planning out my menu now, with great amusement...oh man, have I ever missed BUTTER. And so, so many other things...I'm thinking a nice, juicy delmonico steak will be on the menu for my P3 breakfast.....ohhhh yes, lol!

And even better than that juicy, glorious steak.....I'm very very much hoping for a "Wonderful Whoosh" when P2 ends.

You have an amazing story. It looks like you were led to the information you needed at just the right time.

HCG is a hormone healing protocol, so its not surprising that you saw some benefits to your thyroid function from it. Those are some interesting insights about the inner workings of our visceral fat. More evidence that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made.

I like your P3 celebration plan! Sounds yummy. ^_^
