Okay, I'm up smidge, but happy to have held onto most of the losses from the first two days. Sigh. So much for a repeat of week 1! I was too POP I guess. Great losses when I was off and yesterday perfectly on protocol and MEH. I do think it is a cumulative effect, so yesterday's POP will contribute to a loss down the road.

rk, the 'institutionalization' of patients is such a real thing. I was down on my knees helping my Mom put her shoes on in rehab one day, and she complained that her foot wasn't all the way in. I leaned back and said Well, push it on it, old lady! She laughed and said she guessed she could do that! But that led to my sister and I getting busy to get her out of there.

Hospitals and rehab just assume that elderly people are "out of it" and can take care of them like they are big dolls. They are kind and well meaning, but people get used to being taken care and lose their independence, quickly. It is hard to put your foot in your shoe when you are 94 and not feeling well. But if someone else puts it on for you, pretty soon you think you can't put it on by yourself and then feel helpless, and you can't go anywhere without your shoes!

I think there may be a metaphor there for a lot of things in life!

    Onward!

    Happy, Friday, Lovelies!
Hope everyone is having a great day!
It's P2D7 for me. Week 1 loses haven't been as impressive as usual, but I woke up with a headache, so I'll attribute it to inflammation. My watch has been (annoyingly) loose, so while the evil scale doesn't always show me love, I'm still progressing.
And... my Wise Ape Tea order is being delivered today, so I've got a little treat to look forward to.
    Onward!

Kar, I am 100% in the same place. I had a super good day yesterday and am up .2! But! I can actually see that my waist and belly are down, and jeans are actually loose. I absolutely am down even though TESS won't give me a break and week one losses only lasted two days!

I even tried on a pair of dressy jeans (embroidery on the legs) that I bought just before Christmas but by the time Christmas came around, they were waaaay too tight. Now they are not so loose that I would wear them with a top tucked in --- not that I ever wear tops tucked in!---but they are not uncomfortable. I have hope, at least.

So, onward every onward! Everyone enjoy an extra day in February tomorrow! Boy, this winter will do anything to keep spring away! P

    Good morning Lovelies!

Kar and Pearly: Sorry the evil scale is not being kind. I am keeping my hopes up for a Big whoosh really soon for both of you.

Pearly thank you for your post about institutionalization. I read it aloud to my mother and I think it helped her see that dad really should come home. So thank you for that. Glad things are getting loose! I know this is going to be a great round for you.

Kar: Glad you have the tea treat to look forward to. My biggest losses of inches days never show on the scale, which is why I find measurements so comforting— or clothes no longer tight.

AFM: wow I am so exhausted. Shocked that I have not gained weight here in P3 and eating a ton of fat. Yesterday’s restaurant dinner felt really salty But a real victory Because I had no bread no starch and no sugar here in the land of P3. I am up .2 pounds which I attribute to the salt. Not the wine ha ha I had about a half of a glass. Pearly what do you think about assisted-living versus caregivers at the house? I don’t know which is better. I just don’t want to give up my own life because there’s only one of me and I can’t do it all. I was just wondering about someone to drive mom and dad but I will look into those services today. The assisted living thing is more of a long-term plan, maybe right now I can work on someone to drive them or something.

    Have a wonderful day—

    Warmly,
    RK

Hey RK - do you have Uber or Lyft where you live? It might help out in the short-term. Of course, I'm not suggesting the folks use the app, but you could order the ride for them.

My mom sideswiped a UPS truck the day we took her keys away. Said she didn't see it...

    Waving at everyone! TGIF!

RK - Another thought for your parents... grocery delivery? (If it's available in their area.) It might be worth the delivery fee when you consider gas, etc.

HI LL's! I've had a busy couple of work days, time to read but not post. I got my little whoosh today, down a pound, only .4 away from 160land!

Kar, excited for your tea treat! What did you order? I drink the chocolate one at work and the creamsicle before bed, if I can remember.

I'm sleeping so early these days - out by 9 and up around 4:30-5am. It works for me. Hoping I can retain such good sleep in P3. My last dose is next Saturday, which gives me 36 days total. Then maybe a vanity round in the summer? I know I've said that before :-)

    Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

OOOoOoooo! Whatís this tea yíall are talking about?

RK lots of good suggestions for the parents! My aunt has Parkinsonís and weíve been debating taking her car away- she keeps getting into fender benders. Itís just so hard to take away someoneís independence when theyíre not ready but they should be.

The potassium has totally helped my legs. Thank you Leez! Iím on day 21. Could stop the hcg but Iím going to try to power through until Wednesday. Iím still 6.2 lbs away from my pre pregnancy weight. My losses have become .5 lb, nothing, .5 lb nothing. Grrrrrrr. And seem to ONLY be after I do a high protein day. Maybe I can try to only do high protein days? Hahaha. But either way I donít see me hitting that in the next week but I suppose I can try to get closer.

Iím going to try intermittent fasting in P3. One of my good friends is a health coach and she swears by it. Hoping maybe I can drop the last few pounds that way??? Iím just getting excited to not be so antisocial.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Keep plugging away!!!

    Good afternoon, Lovelies!

Tracy, I got those 2 plus the coconut warrior one. Iím saving the chocolate one for work Monday. I really enjoyed the two I tried so far!

Mama, itís Wise Ape Tea brand that Tracy encountered. For your slow/null loses, I would just plug through it. The HCG is still working and the scale will catch up eventually. Youíre probably retaining water that will whoosh! away before long.

Itís my P2D8 and Iím the same weight as yesterday. I had hunger issues a couple days ago, so I skipped a dose and it got worse. Upped my dose and much better today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Good Sunday morning all!

Kar, enjoy the tea and know you are supporting a conscious company :-)

For all you interested, Wise Ape Tea is a socially conscious company that makes delicious teas and drinks. The owner, Joe Scola, has a beautiful story and he's one hell of a guy. Add a dot com to the end and you'll get there. This was not a paid endorsement Especially since I pilfer my tea from the office.

Mama, I follow a similar loss path. A handful of losing days and than a 2-3 day pause. Kar is right, your body will catch up. I calculate my daily loss at the end. Subtract your final weight from your starting weight and divide that by total days on protocol. I usually land at .5 a day. Except once I averaged .66 - like a man!
I would advise you to wait until P4 to try IF. It's more important to stabilize for those 21 P3 days. I'm not religious about IF in P4 but it's a wonderful way to control my appetite. I may join you if you want a buddy!

I'm down another .4! Two days of losing and now I expect the ... (See above). I tried a new 2.0 dish and it was so good. I boiled a cauliflower head in 1/2 chicken broth and water, drained and mashed it with two tablespoons of 1% cottage cheese, added powdered garlic and onion and salt and pepper. I had also sautťed some chicken breasts in broth, made a sauce from the scrapings and put a little on that. There's about 4-5 servings total. It tasted like Thanksgiving. I also made my son cream of potato soup with diced ham and cheese and it was hard not to taste it. Very very hard.

LDW is either Friday or Saturday. My final batch of shots are pre-filled and frozen but they are a lower dose (125) than my normal 150. I may commit some mischief in topping them off. All health care professionals please look the other way.

Well, if I finish this round in a crime spree against my body, saving grace is I get to start my career as a foot model with my newly attractive trotters.

    Bye y'all!

Tracy that soup sounds divine. I want it. Hahaha. Nice work not tasting!!! Iím ending Hhcg Tuesday. And I always get confused. That means I can eat a real meal Friday am or Thursday pm???

Iíll have to see how things are going if I do the IF in P3 or not. Definitely not going to mess with anything. But Iíve also never had any problems stabilizing over the last 3 rounds so I may give it a go!

Scoping out the tea right now! The chocolate and coconut sound amazing!!! Happy Sunday yíall!!!

Happy Sunday all! Just a quick check-in. This coming week is my work travel week, so while I will try to read and keep up, I probably won't be posting.

Sounds like a couple of you are wrapping up your round. Good job on all the losing going on.

Mama - I think my last round I took my last dose mid-day and skipped the evening dose. That way 2pm plus 48 hours meant I could have dinner as my first P3 meal. At least that's how I calculated it... Maybe it was incorrect, but it seemed to work.

Tracy - Thanks for the info on the tea. I might look into it for my next P2 round as I get really tired of having coffee without my hwc. Maybe something new and fun to look into.

AFM: I've been dropping 0.2 or 0.4 for about a week. I'm currently one pound below LDW, even after indulging in (cover your eyes) an entire sweet potato with sour cream and butter last night. It was soooooo good! I started to worry the other day that I would go below my window and then I realized that P4 ended on Day 21 and today is day 48, so I'm OK! It would be nice to start my next round a little lower

OK - signing off for a few days. Have a great rest of your weekend everyone!
