    Happy Sunday Evening Lovelies!

LinderLou: I am going to get them a smart phone...for people who barely figured out call waiting.... I am also going to see what kinds of rides I can get them I know they have free rides to the VA I just have to find out about and maybe hire their gardener for one day. I can also do 2-3 days of driving. We just need to make a gradual transition. Happy your P4 is going well! Good luck on your travel week and congrats on the losses!

Kar: how are you doing? My parents have limited computer skills and love going to the grocery stores where they know everyone, so I will just take them. But that is such a good idea just for emergencies, etc. I may eventually try to teach them that. Thanks for your idea! Day 8 has often been a catch up day for my body after week 1 losses. That is so great that you adjusted your dose! I know you will start losing big now! I have also had to adjust hHCG on occasion.

Tracy: Congrats on your Woosh! How many pounds do you think you will need to lose in a vanity round? Would it make any sense to just extend this round instead? Maybe do a Planned Interruption if you need a break? Just an idea. Yay and congrats on the Woosh! That sounds like a great cauliflower and chicken recipe.Very creative! I am going to try that! Thanks!

Mntnmama: Just make sure your Aunt has a lot of insurance in case she hits more than one car—we don’t want her to lose the house and increasing policy limits is usually not that much money. Can you do a bit longer round or are you done? Also, think about reading Leez’s blog and getting lots of info about P3. You really want to lock in your weight loss. I would ask Leez, but I would not do intermittent fasting in P3. You don’t want to tank your metabolism in P3. In P4 it might be good. Regarding concluding a round: I believe with homeopathic HCG you wait 48 hours, but check and be sure. I always have to review and plan it out...so if I take my last dose in the evening, then I usually wait until 48 hours plus as I don’t eat at night and then I eat P3 the following morning. Hope that makes sense....

AFM: I am very grateful that I have you all and Leez. She has been a huge help with great advice on P3. She has also given me some great ideas on eating to satisfaction not overstuffed (waiting 15 minutes to see if I am full) and volume. P3 has always been a challenge but I am doing ok. I am worried I screwed up today. I went to a party in a restaurant and ate meatballs. Now I am worried that they put bread in the meatballs.... Hope the scale is kind tomorrow as I was up a whole pound today....ugh...fingers crossed!

    Have a wonderful Monday!

    Hi everyone!

RK, I would extend if I could but I'm out of juice :-) I'll land at 35 dose days this round. I hoped for 40 but my dose is higher this time. I also fear immunity, I struggled with it last year so I'm mindful now. A vanity round for me would be another 9-15 lbs. Maybe summertime...

And I'm finally below 170!!!!!! Down a half pound this morning. I have lived in 170 land for so long, so I'm excited to get that number down a little more before Saturday. The last time I was there was in 2014, I think? And I was running everyday. Needless to say, I'm very motivated to nail P3 and pick up that exercise again. My work schedule is much heavier now so I'll have to be creative figuring that in.

Okay, time to make the donuts, see you tomorrow!

    Good morning, Lovelies!

Linder, that sweet potato sounds heavenly!

RK, I hear ya with parents and technology. Good luck transitioning them to a "new normal."

Tracy, Congrats on the scale victory!

AFM, P2D10 and down 0.4 today. I knew TESS would start cooperating if I just hung in there. Onward!

    Good Morning Lovelies,

Kar: Great news on the losses!

Tracy: Congratulations on your loss! Yay to being below 170! I "House walk". Meaning if I am on the phone at home, I pace. I walk in place when I fold laundry, brush teeth and floss etc. You would be surprised how many extra steps you can get in. Can you walk the stairs at work? Pace while on the phone? Go for 10 minute walks "bathroom break style" like my daughter? She works in a big office and will walk to someone's desk in the adjacent building instead of emailing... Just an idea to do painless exercise.

AFM: Still UP .6 lbs, but not bad considering salty restaurant food. I am hopeful of dropping it today, just by trying to learn to eat to satisfaction, not stuffed-ness. Also going to try to look at transportation options for Mom and Dad. Can't wait to get back to my own stuff too....

    Have a great day!
    Happy Monday!

rk--You are getting your folks a Smart Phone? ROFLMAO!!!! Sorry (she said wiping tears from her eyes) your parents are much younger than mine, so that's probably going to work out for you better than for me. My sister got my Mom a cell phone ---just a Star Trek flip phone, and for three years, every time I called, it was 1. Turned off. 2. Dead 3. Under a sofa cushion 4. Lost but not under a sofa cushion 4. Ringer turned off 5. She forgot which button was answer. 6. Charging but in the other room.

Of course, I figured she was either dead or was lying in a heap somewhere every time she didn't answer!

I finally got her a set of phones that look just like cordless landline phones, but actually use a cell phone line on my account. 3 phones that sit on chargers so now at least one is somewhere close by, and even when she loses two in the sofa cushions, that still leaves one left. Now when I call, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 no longer happen, but she still hits the END button sometimes when she answers.

    Good luck!

As to home care vs. assisted living: Home care would be awesome! If you have any actual home care companies in your area that hire actual people that will work. In rural areas, it is really, really hard to find anyone to stay on a job like that, and you go through a LOT of interesting people coming into your home.

You are at the mercy of their schedule, which is not necessarily a schedule that will fit your folks, but still, it is worth looking into! PT and OT people will come to the home and they are usually pretty professional. Someone coming to give your Dad a shower and help him dress will probably not come at 7 am that he is used to, but sometime when they are available, like 3 pm twice a week.

But! Here's a prayer that your situation is better!

Okay, I have been in a funk for over a week. Maybe longer. I have had sleeping sickness of some kind, as I have been so tired, all I have to do is close my eyes for five seconds and I'm gone. I THINK I am better today, at least I am up and at my computer for the first time since last Thursday! I've read a lot, watched a lot of Hallmark movies and taken three or four naps a day. Yes, I am 'winding down' from working. Yes, I am a leeeetle depressed about losing my income source (not my job, it wasn't all that wonderful) and having basically no joy on finding new clients. Even the current client is cutting back 30% of my work that I was counting on.

Hcg has not been helping my mood of frustration. I have been up .2 every single day since ... Thursday? Friday? Wednesday? I've lost track. So disappointing. As of yesterday, I was up ...I have honestly lost track. 1.2? Maybe 1 pound

Maybe I am exaggerating and it was only .8. from where I was after my first two days of losses. Stupid .2 gains every day. I kept saying, yeah, that's just my usual pattern: no loss, no loss, up a smidge, woosh. Only it was up .2, up .2, up .2, up .2 with no woosh. Finally, I am down today 1.4 AT LAST, as I was having a LOT of internal discussion on whether this was worth it.

That puts me at .2 down since Wednesday. I think. No, it doesn't. I hit 130.0 somewhere in there and today I am 130.2, so I am still net UP.

    Gripe. Grumble. Pout.

    Well, better than up 1.2!

    Okay, now I'm just blathering.

    Onward!

Oh Pearly, that's a lot of math! I feel your frustration through the wires. I resigned from my last position in Sept, and had severance for 4 months while I searched and it messed with my head in many ways. I finally landed in an awesome job, leadership is all women and I have the most incredible support. No more old man vibe. Hang in there! You are a wonderful writer and will find your next success!

AFM, I did not weigh today. Since my drop yesterday, I figured I was set for another 2-3 day lull. So I measured. 30 days in and 2.5" off my hips, 2.5 off my waist. I have noticed that I've been very hungry in the morning which is unusual for this round. Today it's not so bad, but I don't want to skip a day because I'm so close to the finish. Poor sleep last night, too. So my motivation is all over the place, feeling eh. Yesterday was , today is more I know I should skip but I don't wanna.

RK, good advice as always! I'm using the stairs at work, just three flights but I know it will help. I'm going to be more intentional about walking breaks during the day. Our campus is about 44K square feet, all indoors, and plenty of unoccupied floor to walk through. So Thank you!

Happy Super Tuesday to all you voters!

Thank you, Tracy. I am taking this time to work on a novel and am 80 pages in, so it is a good time. I do have some days when I think my brain goes zzzt zzzt zzzt about my whole situation and I opt out of the day. I've read a LOT. But yesterday, I got back to my novel and knocked out 3 pages. My goal is 12 pages a day, and I hit it once in a while, but better 3 than the zero I had last week! I really need a writing group like this diet group!

Hi, I'm Pearly Mae and I am a BROKEN RECORD!

I whine, I gripe, I SUFFER and then I yell FINALLY and woooosh. Then I start over. Thank you all for putting up with my repeated self-inflicted misery.

Another woosh of 1.6. After an entire week of teeny gains, yesterday's woosh put me into a better mood but today, Wowza. Hate to have Tess have this much power over me, LOL, but man it helps!

But it is NOT just Tess. It is the inches! You would not think that loss would make a difference, but I tried both pair of jeans I have been trying to get back to, and whereas they were at the "ok if I wear a long top over them' fit level, they both look a LOT better today. I could actually go out of the house in either pair with a top that just came past my waist. I don't actually have any where to GO, so guess it is a bit moot. Oh well. It is still good to set a goal and work towards it.

I have nine doses left, so I will just keep going and see where I end up. Any other losses will give me a little more comfortable window, but if I have to use the next 9 days to set this number, I'll do that.

I tell every bunny to trust the process, to just keep going, to not let TESS rule your life, to not worry if every minute is perfect but to just do the best you can and each day is a new opportunity. Yep, I tell everyone that. Guess I need to LISTEN TO ME.

    Onward all!

    Good Morning Lovelies,

Pearly: Someone may have "sold me a bill of goods" that there were easy to use smart phones. Yes, my parents never remember to turn their cell phone on, lose it etc. OR it is on but the volume is off. They are very frustrating. The job search is Never fun! Can you get new clients just by cold calling or asking your existing clients for referrals? I would especially ask the client that cut back your work 30% if he knows anyone you could call. Then call the new clients and use his name. I know the job hunt sucks as Tracy said. Hang in there! There will be good things in store for you.

Tracy: Yes "office Walk". Let us know how it goes. I track my steps on my phone, because I am a natural lazy ***. I notice when I travel and am walking a ton I do not gain weight. So that is my step inspiration.Smart not to weigh if that helps you. I always think the gain or no loss is worse than it is, so it helps me to weigh.

AFM: Since I could not get a chance to eat dinner until 9 I was worried about the scale. I am down a pound. Yahoo back to my weight. Friends, My parents are just too intense. Mom fell and hit her head, then went to play bridge, then decided maybe she should get it checked out so they called me from the ambulance at 6 PM and that was the evening. I can't keep going on at this pace with my folks. I can barely get anything done in my own life. IN other news, I am the only one surprised by this, but they refuse to give up their keys!!!! So the insurance company is totaling their relatively new car, so I am going to sign them up for rides. Say that Dad needs to get healthy, I figure the state will have a say about Mom driving after this accident, and see if I can postpone the next car until it fades from view... Not sure what else to do....They will not listen and they will buy one without me because I will not help them with it.

I ate a bigger breakfast than I probably should have. Interesting that I don't feel stuffed. Lunch has been difficult to get in somedays so I am bringing a salad to the Care Center for me and some hard boiled eggs. DH has important interviews today, so hope that goes well.

Take care! I am thinking about you all. Have a wonderful day!
    Fondly,
