Shrink, don't stress over what tomorrow will bring. Please know that you are doing awesome. NOBODY loses EVERY DAY. When you hear about losing so much per day, it is an AVERAGE, over the course of the entire round. Not per week, and certainly not per day. Your body has to catch its breath after the losses you have and sometimes it seems like it is for no reason at all, but please trust the process and just keep trudging along. Wooshes come along and you catch up on your average.

I am convinced gains come from what you ate the day before, as they are usually the result of sensitivities or inflammation, and the like, all of which go away agtain, but LOSSES come from an accumulation of several days together. Not that it doesn't matter what you do in a day, but it matters as part of the whole. Every day counts, but no day is important enough to get stressed about the day before on what you will eat! Do the best you can and move on, baby! LOL. STRESS causes gains, so please put this as a priority but not a day by day disaster to be met.

YOu got this! It is not a punishment, or a judgement or a zombie apocalypse! It is a course correction on your life that you decided to make to make your life better. Congratulations on your bravery, your commitment and your successes! Now, breathe!

    Okay. off soapbox.

I have done a lot of rounds, after my initial rounds losing over 50 pounds. The most I have re-gained before doing a round has been about 22 pounds. I OFTEN gain 10 -15. Which I did again. I am really tired to doing that, so while I know hcg protocol will get the weight off again, I gotta get hold of P4! This round has been the slowest I've ever done, except for maybe one where I figured out my hcg was out of date and gave up after 2 weeks. So whether I just don't have my head in the game or hcg is wearing off on working for me after SEVEN years, I need to get this done ---no matter how long it takes ---and then stop depending on hcg to save me after I wander off into the woods and start chasing rabbits.

But! First things first. I was down 1 pound on Friday and 2 on Saturday, and up .8 on Sunday and .2 today, so I've kept off 2 out of 3 pounds. That gives me around 3 pounds lost in week 4, but I traditionally do not lose in week 3, which is where I got behind and have just not made it up yet. I did so awesome at eating correctly at a Super Bowl party last night, I am pumped to keep going. The list of what I DID NOT eat is a whole lot longer than what I did! LOL. I've had some skip days, so I can go another 2 weeks easily. I kind of hope I don't need to, but I will do what I need to do!

Congrats all on making it into FEBRUARY! Yes, you all in P3 and P4, keep peeking in and keep inspiring us! P2ers... ONWARD!

I think we’re singing the same tune. Getting ahold of P4! I’m still hitting new weight goals after rounds bit then I start slipping and sliding around after being in P4 for a while. I may have jumped up in weight higher that ever before. TBD during end of this round weight in.

    Happy Tuesday Lovelies!

Gem, I hope your husband is in less pain, and thus, less cranky! I don't envy you having to care for him at the same time as starting a round. Although, sometimes it's easier when you have other things occupying your mind. I hope that is the case for you.

Shrink, how are you doing? I hope your Pearly Pep-Talk helped how you are viewing this process. I so totally agree with the need to look at the long game instead of the day-by-day. Yes, we need to make sure we aren't making any mistakes and that is why we track our weight each day, but for some people the head game is too much and they only weigh once a week.

Jessie, Vanessa, Twabell, how are you guys doing?

AFM, I have been working on tracking food and trying to figure out how many calories will allow me to maintain my LIW. I had to do a steak day last week as I was 0.5 lb over my 2 lb window which resulted in only a 1 lb loss. Then my weight jumped up 2.4 lbs! I was extremely careful the next day and only had about 1100 calories and came right back down to my LIW. The next day (yesterday) I had about 1400 calories and went up 0.5 lb, still in my window. I'm not sure where to go from here, but I think I'll shoot for 1700 as the bottom of the range the nutritionist recommended for maintenance (1700-1900). I think RK was right when she said she thought 1900 was high, as I was gaining on that amount. So, in my endeavor to find out how much I can actually eat without gaining I think I have made progress. JUST in time to go overseas (UK) without my scale. I leave tomorrow for two weeks, then I'm back for about 10 days and then I'm overseas again for almost a month. That second trip is to Australia for my daughter's wedding and I need to be at my fighting weight for that. I've got the 'mother of the bride' dress to fit into as well as the 4 days in Bali with the bride, groom and other close family. Which means summer clothing in a winter body. I wonder what the UK customs and immigration people would think if I brought my scale in my suitcase?

Your determination is Inspiring ...find the right calories range, planning be your best for a very event (daughters wedding/honeymoon) and how to smuggle your scales. Lol. I wonder if you can bring the scales?!? (Iím googling that)

Iím all excited for you. Hope we get to hear all the details when you get back

Shrink I hear what your saying about feeling safe P2. Iím actually enjoying VLCD2 being in the safe place right now. For me during P3 I found having couple of go to meals with good high fats (butter, Olive oil, avocados) helped.

    Hello Dear Lovelies,

I will read back, but just wanted to give you my two cents. This is for people who are sick and tired of being on HCG so ending their round a bit earlier than planned.
Instead of a short round, why not do a Planned Interruption,(PI) then you can do a full round?

    Here's why:

    1. Sometimes mid round I feel burned out, or I have an event, or I feel tired.
    2. After a PI it's like week one all over again, and I lose a lot of weight. Knowing this:
    A. If I go up a pound or 2 during a PI I know it will come off quickly.(You are suppose to eat P3 during a PI, but sometimes I have not and gone up 2 pounds).
    3. This allows me to lose the most weight I can per round, and still wait the appropriate time in between rounds. I feel
I see progress better this way.
    4. CAVEAT: you must not attempt a PI unless you have done HCG the minimum number of days (I think it's 23 Days)
    5. You have to give yourself a good pep talk when you resume. But once you start back the great losses keep me motivated.
    6. Because I do PIs, my overall weight lost per round is higher than without them. It's that first week effect that I get twice.
    7. Supposedly, people stabilize better after a long round.

I hope this helps. I was thinking about my lovelies and as you can tell, am enthusiastic about Planned Interruptions. Let me know what you think of this.

Also, I really enjoy when people post what they have been doing to be successful.
Right now I am drinking an afternoon cup of Herbal tea (Good Earth, so lovely) that has replaced my afternoon snack.

AFM: I hurt my back again and I don't even know how. So I am living in the bath tub with Epsom salt and on the hydromassage bed at the gym. But great news:

I am 1.8 pounds away from my goal! I have had some plateaus and while my weight has not changed, my stomach and thighs are looking better than they have in a long time.

Have a lovely day and more later!

Last day of loading & I feel like a "blimp!" Haha! Almost afraid to weigh in tomorrow. 😣 it's ok, I'm going to do well. I'm even thinking about foregoing my heavy cream in my coffee- the one thing I had refused to give up! Glad to see other P2ers & all you other Lovelies who are "getting it done!" 🙌

    Gem,

Once you go to Black Coffee you will never go back. I gave up cream and now slightly creamy things taste really creamy! Also, just think how well/how much more you could lose following the protocol! Also, all the fun things you can eat with those calories instead!

    Just a thought!

Wow...thank you for posting this! I so needed to hear it. You got me processing a new strategy. My best overall round with loses and stabilizing was after a 53 day round. This round (R7VLCD2) is supposed to be a short 23 day one because of an up coming trip (March 8th). Itís a luxury all paid corporate vacation and they go all out with food/entertainment. Iíll still be in P3 because of this round got delayed.

Congratulations on getting to your finish line and body reshaping. Donít you just love that?!?! Itís so inspiring and Iím happy for you! Hopefully your back will respond nicely

Rk, I have done that, and while I haven't had quite as large of losses as a regular week one, it sure helped me get back on track after a 'refresh'.

Boy, my body is making me fight for every ounce! Saturday, I was down to 130.8, my last LIW. My usual LIW's have always been in the mid 120's but last time I could NOT get past 130. I thought ok, let's see if I can maintain at this slightly higher number. Nope. So back I am and Sunday I was up to 131.6, and Monday, after a really perfect Super Bowl Sunday, I was up another .2. (insert swear word here!) Yesterday I was down that same .2, but was extremely disappointed as I had another POP day on Monday and even took a long Epson salt bath. Point 2! grumble grumble grumble. Today, down 1.4 according to my scale.

Now wait, ought plus ought, carry the one... that doesn't add up, so TESS is rounding somewhere, but at least I am ahead of where I was Saturday at last. 130.4. So down a whole .4 in the past 4 days! Good grief.

However, that is 13 pounds in 30 days and only 2 pounds off average. Not a record, by any means, but now maybe I can wind this up in another week.

Those of you who are working with a different set of numbers, this is not my initial round, this is like round 20 in the last 7 years to MAINTAIN. As I keep saying, life happens and I'm not perfect. But at least I am dealing with numbers that still keep my blood test numbers in line and my dress size just bouncing up and down one or two spaces on the rack. That was not the case 7 years ago when I could NOT lose anything and just watched the scale number go up and up and up. My doc was going to put me on cholesterol meds and I didn't own any jeans. I only bought work clothes at thrift stores because I was not going to spend money on anything marked XL. I know at my highest weight I may have been where some are aiming to end up, but numbers don't tell the whole story. With my chicken-bone frame, and apple on a stick shape, it was not pretty. Or healthy.

Now, to get to that comfortable weight again and learn to STAY there, not get there over and over!
    P
PS:I changed computers and somehow lost my Ticker! I have done a new one just for all y'all for Valentine's Day! LOL
