    Good Morning Lovelies,

Mo, Do the places you are staying have scales? I always travel as light as I can. If going out of UK, they are BRUTAL about liquids, what they count as a liquid and the amount they allow in a carry on. They count toothpaste, mascara and gel deodorant as a liquid, so be sure to get a solid one for the trip and consider looking up what is allowed in a carryon.

Pearly, you are doing great. Love the new ticker! I am also trying to figure out how to avoid the creep. To do that I am interviewing skinny people I know. I will post what I learn.

AFM: My back is so hurting me! It is awful. I guess I just plain overdid it yesterday. I did not lose any weight, but I don't lose everyday especially as I get close to goal.

    Have a great day!

    HI Lovelies,

    Interviews With Skinny Friends

I am so sick of being a human YoYo and creeping up in weight. So I have decided to interview my long term stay skinny friends. Here is what Sue says. I have known her for 25 years. She is always skinny. She is also blunt. Perhaps you also know someone who is consistently skinny. Do they have any tips for us?

I hope it is ok to post what I have learned from skinny people here. If you prefer me to post on a separate page, LMK. I am not easily offended.

    From Sue:
1.Determine your Basal Metabolic Rate: This lets you know how many calories you can eat in a day. Here is a web page that explains it and will calculate yours:
https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html . Use the "Milfin St Jeor" formula in settings.

    2. When I started to do the calculations and clicked on "moderately Active" Sue Laughed and said "Oh please. You are not in your 20s. I know you are not consistent in exercise." So I clicked lightly active....Just saying.

    3. Now that you have your numbers, you have to be honest and train yourself to know the calorie count of foods. My Fitness Pal is my favorite. Just like we can all, after a certain point, eyeball 100 gm of raw chicken breast, etc. No cheating! Count all the tastes, licks of spoon, samples at Costco, bites of Sue's fries etc. Just figure it into the daily calorie allotment. After counting calories on an app, you will eventually learn to do it in your head.

    4. If you have a day of being way over, figure out what your weekly calorie allowance ( daily allowance X 7 days) is and follow off the rails day with 2-3 skinny eating days.

    5. If you go up a few pounds, take immediate action. Don't wait until 3 pounds becomes 15.

So I was at a party and made up 2 plates of food. All the skinny girls were pretty accurate on guessing the calorie count.

    6. IF you are gaining, either you are not counting correctly, or you need to lower slightly the amount of calories you are eating, or consistently increase your activity.

    7. This is what Sue said. It was funny and she Brutal.
Sue: "RK, what is the technical name for someone who does not pay attention to their numbers and doesn't count calories?"
I did not know the answer.
The Answer by Sue, "Fat People" .

Ok, nice that she has a firm opinion and is not wishy washy....

Thx Rk, I went w/o my heavy cream today & it wasn't to awful bad. 😉
Pearly sorry to hear about your current struggle, but I've seen you go through so much over the winter & I'm amazed at your comeback!
Like you, this isn't my 1st rodeo with the hcg as it seems to be the only way I've been able to lose weight. I'm doing better than in previous rounds (except for this last break inbetween rounds) & as long as I stay positive & keep my head in it, I do well.
That ladies is my P4 experience as well.
I could stay stable as I've done it b4, I just like food to much- the wrong things sometimes! 🍨🍪🎂🍦🍭

So today, is VLCD1 & after loading I'm up 9 lbs! Ugh!
I'm not going to look back & keep scolding myself, I'm going to look forward, be positive & lose this weight!

I wish i could figure out that dang ticker as I use to be able to do it, but something is different & I don't like being frustrated- ha! 😁

Anyway, I will try & stay Focused again! 😎

    Love you Lovelies! ❤

    Hi Gem!
So Proud of you for going "model black" aka "movie star black" with the coffee.
There is a forum heading about tickers that I found helpful.
    Have a great day!

[QUOTE=PearlyMae;1083496]Rk, I have done that, and while I haven't had quite as large of losses as a regular week one, it sure helped me get back on track after a 'refresh'.

Boy, my body is making me fight for every ounce! Saturday, I was down to 130.8, my last LIW. My usual LIW's have always been in the mid 120's but last time I could NOT get past 130. I thought ok, let's see if I can maintain at this slightly higher number. Nope. So back I am and Sunday I was up to 131.6, and Monday, after a really perfect Super Bowl Sunday, I was up another .2. (insert swear word here!) Yesterday I was down that same .2, but was extremely disappointed as I had another POP day on Monday and even took a long Epson salt bath. Point 2! grumble grumble grumble. Today, down 1.4 according to my scale.

Now wait, ought plus ought, carry the one... that doesn't add up, so TESS is rounding somewhere, but at least I am ahead of where I was Saturday at last. 130.4. So down a whole .4 in the past 4 days! Good grief.

However, that is 13 pounds in 30 days and only 2 pounds off average. Not a record, by any means, but now maybe I can wind this up in another week.

Those of you who are working with a different set of numbers, this is not my initial round, this is like round 20 in the last 7 years to MAINTAIN. As I keep saying, life happens and I'm not perfect. But at least I am dealing with numbers that still keep my blood test numbers in line and my dress size just bouncing up and down one or two spaces on the rack. That was not the case 7 years ago when I could NOT lose anything and just watched the scale number go up and up and up. My doc was going to put me on cholesterol meds and I didn't own any jeans. I only bought work clothes at thrift stores because I was not going to spend money on anything marked XL. I know at my highest weight I may have been where some are aiming to end up, but numbers don't tell the whole story. With my chicken-bone frame, and apple on a stick shape, it was not pretty. Or healthy.

Now, to get to that comfortable weight again and learn to STAY there, not get there over and over!

Pearly I remember seeing a picture of you post a while back ...you were all dolled up in red for some event. Your a beautiful lady ...I didnít see an apple!! LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - FEELIN' FINE in FEBRUARY!!!!

    Hello lovelies!
I haven't had much time to keep up because I'm traveling for work this week and putting in extra long days, but I'll catch up later. I hope TESS is being kind to all!

    Thank you for the link.

I didnít see the ďMilfin St JeorĒ formula. Iím going to try it again but right now to maintain my ultimate goal weight would be 1400 calories a day. Does that sound reasonable? Maybe Milifin will give a little more

Edit: 1400 is the milifin number

Sorry about blast posting. I use my phone and itís takes me forever to do one group post.

I wanted to share a part of my non HCG life here. Iím an older parent (age 52) with a sweet (or use to be) 12 year old daughter who has officially entered the teenage mode. She actually made me cry ...ok more like tear up a lot which is rare for me. Iím putting on teen armor and we will survive this ...eventually. My concern is right now is that sheís going to sprain her eyes with all of the ďeye rollingĒ! Seriously !?!? LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - FEELIN' FINE in FEBRUARY!!!!LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - FEELIN' FINE in FEBRUARY!!!!LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - FEELIN' FINE in FEBRUARY!!!!

Meanwhile, today is VLCD3 and all is going good so far. I tried Dunkiní Donuts hot black tea today and it was pleasantly good. Almost to good...trying to find the ingredients to confirm nothing off protocol is in it. It takes me a little while to adapt to black coffee during P2 so Iím looking for other hot drink options when not home.

Hugs and encouragement to you all!

    Hi Lovelies,

Jessie when my oldest became a teenager I took a parenting of teens class at the high school. The support from other parents was great. I feel bad for teenage girls. They cope with a lot of sexual stuff we never had to, and facebook etc is really brutal. I am grateful that when I was not invited to a party or event, I didn't know. Add in hormones, and well, it is rough. As my dear Mamma says "kids need to know that you love them and are on their team especially when you really want to throw them against the wall". With one kid I went to a counselor for a few sessions, and that helped me to understand her perspective, and then she was more willing to do the chores that were required. I told mine, "sweetheart let's learn to work things out now, because we are going to be in each other's life for a loong looooong time. I want us to have a good, loving, relationship" . That helped us. But I have been there and the eye rolling is tough.

Wish I would have come up with a snappy comeback to Sue! That is a good one!

1400 sounds low to me for maintenance. I tried to do a screen shot. The different formulas appear when you click the settings button....
