Jessie!! Oh my, your daughter is not officially a teen yet! 😖 For some reason, I felt my daughter was the hardest although it was pretty rough on her & her brother @ 15 & 17 y/o to lose their dad suddenly. We were All traumatized. 😕
By the grace & love of God, we have all made it through & they are both wonderful, productive adults w/their own kids. Now it's their turn! Ha! 😅

Rk- Bam!! Fat People!! Ugh! I'll try that ticker forum again. I tried it once b4 & I just couldn't seem to get it. It was never a problem before...

    Kar- have fun travelin!

To all you other Lovelies out there...We are Unstoppable!! Stay Focused! 😎 Shorts weather will be here soon! Plus, I don't want to be a "Fat People!"

VLCD2- down 3.4 lbs. Love how the 1st week can motivate you. I remembered to measure myself & keep up with my fluids.

    R3 VLCD1 +9 after loading 😖

Oh Jesse!! Do I ever know what you mean! My sweet niece was my Bestest Ever Friend until she was about 11.5.... Way before we expected...when she turned into a sarcastic, eye rolling, tongue clicking, judgmental MEAN GIRL right before our eyes. At one point I sat her down and told her she was breaking my heart. She. Did. Not. Care. As far as she could see, the Auntie who was always there for her was suddenly an Idiot.I could not even clear my throat without a getting a big sigh and an eye roll at how stupid I was. Help me, Jesus!

I hate that 6th graders go to middle school. It starts teen hood waaaaay too soon.

Now, at 14 1/2 she is finally becoming herself again. Sweet, smart, thoughtful, and just HERSELF. For Christmas this year, she wrote me a letter saying how sorry she was that she was so mean to me for the past few years and that she wanted to do stuff with me again and could she please come over and help me give my little dogs a bath, go shopping and maybe even have another garden. Finally.

I guess the only good news about starting at 12 is just maybe they come out of it at a younger age, too. If they wait til the traditional 14, they are that way all through high school, when they can get in even more trouble.

My sister and her husband definitely got her counseling, which she went to sullenly and came out of sullenly, and pushed as steadily as they could to get her to see that her friends group were not really her friends. Drama! Trauma! And church groups and music lessons and and and. Just keep at. Your baby needs mucho mucho attention right now.

    Whew.

I am down! TESS rounds up and down, but I am under 130 at last. I was 130.4 yesterday, and 129.6 today and TESS said I was down .6. WHOT? I have to put it into my Excel sheet tracker to see where I really am. Don't let TESS do your taxes.

    PROGRESS!

    On...well, you know.

PS: Re: Skinny people. You can compare calories etc. all you want, but skinny people do not have the same relationship with food as Us Fluffy People. When they get upset, they don't eat. When they are stressed, they go run. In social situations, they fill a plate with three things and then put the plate down and forget where they put it. They get so busy talking to people, they forget to get another one. They go home hungry and drink a glass of water and go to bed. EEEk. I just figured it out! They are MEN.

Hey there lovelies - checking in here from P4-land. Sounds like you all are supporting each other very well and that the scales are on a downward trend - that's a GREAT thing! This protocol works!

So, I pretty much survived the Super Bowl party with no damage, well, other than the 49ers losing. That was a real drag! It was a great game until that point...

Funny discussion about skinny people. I don't really know any skinny people anymore. At least not any naturally skinny people (other than MEN, Pearly, you're so right!). I know a couple of skinny people with eating disorders who basically starve themselves to stay at a particular size or weight. Not very healthy people either. The rest of the people (women) I know are all a few pounds overweight and constantly fighting to stay there. Most of them are bought into the low-fat lie and refuse to hear otherwise, so fine... You're not going to listen to anything I say. Besides, that's more bacon for me!

Almost Friday! Hope everyone has had a wonderful (and losing) day!

    Hello dear Lovelies,

LinderLou and Pearly, I agree with you about men! LinderLou glad P4 is going well. I like a little bacon myself, can’t wait for P3.

Gem: Great job on your losses! Yes I had to re-read that forum post about how to add a ticker! Look at the beginning of “Forum How-To’s.” The first sticky is adding a ticker to your signature. Leez updated it. But it no longer links back from this site to your ticker site.. So you go to your sticker site and update it and then it’s magically updated here. Provided you pasted it incorrectly.... I think that’s the tricky part. I hope that helps! How is the coffee going? Are you still drinking It model black like me?

Kar: We miss you! Hope things are going well!

Pearly: yay for being down! I like the phrase fluffy people! That’s so cute. Yes I am keeping TESS Away from my taxes!

rkthinkr: Welcome! I find the discussions with these ladies and Lads is very helpful and motivating. Personally I’ve kind of given up trying to explain this diet to most people.

AFM: Well I must admit I’m glad to know that I am not the only one who had difficult preteenagers. But I must say things are so good now. Apparently, once you hit 23 and your mother is no longer stupid. Actually, that stopped around 15 1/2 when I started teaching them how to drive and parallel park. Teaching them to drive was a great bonding experience.

I have to be honest, I have not dropped any weight at all for over three days! I know my back has been really bad. That may account for no drop because of the swelling and the NSAIDS. I have been COMPLETELY POP!!!! Today I soaked in an Epsom salt bath for over an hour and actually took an important phone call from the tub ha ha. I was very careful not to splash. We will just make that our secret…

The tub is really helping and I am lying flat on my back. Since today is after 48 hours after feeling back pain thank goodness I can use heating pads instead of ice. Hope everyone is dropping lots of weight!

    Fondly,
    RK

Good morning Lovelies! I started on the Loaders thread and am officially moving over to join your gang. I've been following the posts and appreciate the support and advice you all share in and outside the HCG bubble.

I'm on Vlcd 5, down 4.5 lbs, I got lucky and didn't gain on my load days. I'm also doing 2.0 this round and still figuring out what I need to tweak. Commuting 1.5 hours, adding in a 9 hour workday - my car has more food in it than my pantry! That's been my biggest challenge, making sure I have enough food options to get my calories in before I'm home.

I'll chime in on the teenager convo. My kids are now 28 and 22, but I was also an idiot when they were 13-15, twice! Apparently I'm so much smarter now! I realized that their snarky attitude was their power at home. When you're that age, you're directed by so many outside forces and rules: friends, teachers, coaches. It's amazing they live through this stage with any self-esteem. But they're banking on our unconditional love. I did the same to the my lovely parents (they got wiser too ) It doesn't define them, it's temporary, and like Pearly advised, they need you now more than ever. Stay open, stay available and they will come back to their sweet, engaging, smart selves.
Have a great day everyone, looking forward to keeping up with y'all!

    Ciao, Lovelies!

I see a lot of "losers" in this group!! Whoopie! Congrats to you all as well as the stabilizers! Did I see someone is down 17 lbs after 2 weeks? Great job!

Rk, praying for your back issues. It is so miserable having back issues!

I'm not sure about seeing many skinny men around. They just tend to carry their weight differently. I see many that look pregnant! My spouse is one of them. That is not good for your heart. Anyway, it's tough on all of us "fluffy" people to lose the weight.

So my skinny sister in law talks nonstop alot & I bet that is how she stays thin! Ha!

On VLCD2 I lost another 1.8 lbs. Going in the right direction. Rk, I've still put a tad of cream in my coffee, but not my favorite heavy stuff.

Time to move on.... peering out the window looking at the magnificent ice show as the sun beats down on our iced wonderland here. So sparkly! ❄☃️❄

Tracy and Thinkr, welcome! Tracy, do I remember you from another time/thread or was that another Tracy? rkthin and rkthinkr! It took me a sec to figure that one out. Okay, for me rkthin is rk, and rkthinkr is thinkr. LOL.

I expected a little sumpin sumpin to happen on TESS today, but weight is exactly the same as yesterday. As I keep telling everyone, nobody loses every day. That doesn't keep me from HOPING every day, tho! LOL. But I have so far kept the good progress from this week, so I will not complain. Grumble a little, but not complain.

Snow here. Pretty much snow and cold straight through since Sunday. Sigh. I guess it is Winter in Colorado so what did I expect? I'm a beach girl, not a snow maiden. This too shall pass.

I signed up for the Y and will start slow. I am going to watch/try out a dumbell class tomorrow, weather permitting. Then I am hoping to get my nephew in a class with me one day a week and both of us swim on day a week. Then add Saturday in as I'm able. I'm meeting with a 'Functional Fitness" coach next week. I'm not trying to make the Olympics but I need to increase my core strength, make sure my ability to balance continues, and just build a bit more muscle all around. I expect to be done with P2 SOON, so will ease in during P3 and then see how it goes.

    Onward!

While your getting a magnificent sparkly ice show, I saw one or two tiny snowflakes LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - FEELIN' FINE in FEBRUARY!!!! this morning and called my friend with the exciting news. ⛄️ kinda of a big deal here in GA ...we all run out to get the bread and milk and watch for the school closing. Regarding, cream in coffee, I might or might not be guilty of putting 2 tablespoon of half n half in the morning. I experimented with it last round after following an HCGer VLOGer That was my 6th round so felt comfortable testing a little cheat POP.

My skinny sister-in-law eats like a skinny person. Very hyper focused calorie counting, Fitbit and seems scared of food. As pearly said skinny peeps don’t have the same relationship with food as us fluffy people. It’s nice on occasion to go to a fine dining restaurant but you want to be with people who actually enjoy the experience.

TGIF!! For some reason, this week has just crawled by... The finish line is in sight!

RK - So sorry your back is bothering you again. Not fun, and especially when you're not sure what aggravated it. Have you tried a chiro?

Tracy - Welcome back! Great job on your losses so far. Sounds like 2.0 is working for you. Yikes - a 90 minutes does NOT sound like fun at all! It must put a ton of restrictions on what you can eat since your car obviously doesn't have a kitchen.

Gem - Your losses are terrific! Keep it up! On the skinny men topic. I wasn't saying that ALL men are skinny, just that many of them are, with absolutely no attempt at eating healthy, calorie counting, or any kind of control at all. My DH is one of them. He eats whatever he wants and never gains an ounce. He DOES eat veggies and not just junk, but enjoys a fair amount of snacks too. I also have many male friends who have that beer keg thing going on. NONE of these guys have a clue about nutrition though and wouldn't know a carb from a protein if it came up and bit them. One of our very overweight friends keeps complaining that he needs to lose at least 100 lbs to give his arthritic knees a bread. DH suggested that he talk to me, since I've been successful at dropping at least half that. Guess what? He wasn't interested because it would involve "dieting". LOL about your skinny SIL talking the weight off! Maybe it's because she doesn't pause long enough to get any food in there

Pearly - I know what you mean about "hoping" TESS will move every day. During P2 (and P3, P4) my morning ritual is to guess the number that is going to show up based on how "fluffy" or not I feel. Great mood booster when the number is lower than my guess and a little disappointing when it goes the other way. Love your new ticker! Going to the Y with your nephew sounds great for both of you. You go girl!

TWA - Holy smokes! 17 pounds in 2 weeks is great! And I think you were on the road the first week, so GREAT job!

Anyone else that I missed, keep up the good work!

AFM: Didn't weigh this morning, but as of yesterday, still in my window. Yesterday, I put on a pair of older skinny jeans and they are baggy in the hips and thighs. Three months ago, these same jeans fit and were even a little snug... Maybe they've just stretched out? IDK. Which brings me to my next point. I'm wondering what to do to get my skin to fit again. It's kind of baggy too, like the jeans. Especially in the hips, thighs and tummy area. How do you guys deal with this? Any tips appreciated.

Have a great day and weekend everyone!

    Hi Lovelies,

My back is killing me so please excuse the "more typos than usual". An elderly woman was falling and I reached out suddenly and caught her. The friend I was with thinks that is what got my back. It started to hurt about an hour later. Also, I use to be so really and truly dedicated to my daily back strengthening exercises, doing them while watching the TV or on the speaker phone daily. I fell off that wagon a year ago, this is the result...sigh...I will go back to them now....

    Welcome Tracy!

Gem: Cutting down on the cream is a great way to start! Wonderful news about your loss. Thank you for your kind words on my temperamental back.

Pearly:I also hope for losses everyday, even though I know better too! We are optimists! Also, Out here the Y has discounts for unemployed people...If that helps.

HI Jessie! I have a friend who did this diet very successfully and never gave up a glass of wine with dinner...If i was cheating, thats what I would do over cream.

Hi LinderLou! I am thinking about chiro, but when I stretch and do certain stretches I "adjust" my own back... I have found that my skin will adjust, but it takes a month or so. I also have had flabby skin. I t did go away, just took a little bit of time. I think that is why Dr S had the wait times between rounds, so your skin adjusts? I think that is what Grammy told me a long time ago. I tried some muscle building exercises to help--not sure that worked. It seemed like for me time was the best cure and things tightened up. Let me know what you come up with. So great that you are still in your window. It gives me hope for the future.

AFM: The back issue is real. Going back in the tub with Epsom salts now. The pain pills (just naprosyn) are constipating, so I increased my Magnesium and Vitamin C pills. Down .4 pounds, but hopeful that tomorrow will bring a bigger drop. I had a small glass of wine last night to help with the muscles.

    Have a great Day everyone!
