Gem: Great job on your losses! Yes I had to re-read that forum post about how to add a ticker! Look at the beginning of ďForum How-Toís.Ē The first sticky is adding a ticker to your signature. Leez updated it. But it no longer links back from this site to your ticker site.. So you go to your sticker site and update it and then itís magically updated here. Provided you pasted it incorrectly.... I think thatís the tricky part. I hope that helps! How is the coffee going? Are you still drinking It model black like me?

Kar: We miss you! Hope things are going well!

Pearly: yay for being down! I like the phrase fluffy people! Thatís so cute. Yes I am keeping TESS Away from my taxes!

rkthinkr: Welcome! I find the discussions with these ladies and Lads is very helpful and motivating. Personally Iíve kind of given up trying to explain this diet to most people.

AFM: Well I must admit Iím glad to know that I am not the only one who had difficult preteenagers. But I must say things are so good now. Apparently, once you hit 23 and your mother is no longer stupid. Actually, that stopped around 15 1/2 when I started teaching them how to drive and parallel park. Teaching them to drive was a great bonding experience.

I have to be honest, I have not dropped any weight at all for over three days! I know my back has been really bad. That may account for no drop because of the swelling and the NSAIDS. I have been COMPLETELY POP!!!! Today I soaked in an Epsom salt bath for over an hour and actually took an important phone call from the tub ha ha. I was very careful not to splash. We will just make that our secretÖ

The tub is really helping and I am lying flat on my back. Since today is after 48 hours after feeling back pain thank goodness I can use heating pads instead of ice. Hope everyone is dropping lots of weight!

    Fondly,
    RK

[QUOTE=PearlyMae;1083518]Oh Jesse!! Do I ever know what you mean! My sweet niece was my Bestest Ever Friend until she was about 11.5.... Way before we expected...when she turned into a sarcastic, eye rolling, tongue clicking, judgmental MEAN GIRL right before our eyes. At one point I sat her down and told her she was breaking my heart. She. Did. Not. Care. As far as she could see, the Auntie who was always there for her was suddenly an Idiot.I could not even clear my throat without a getting a big sigh and an eye roll at how stupid I was. Help me, Jesus!

I hate that 6th graders go to middle school. It starts teen hood waaaaay too soon.

Now, at 14 1/2 she is finally becoming herself again. Sweet, smart, thoughtful, and just HERSELF. For Christmas this year, she wrote me a letter saying how sorry she was that she was so mean to me for the past few years and that she wanted to do stuff with me again and could she please come over and help me give my little dogs a bath, go shopping and maybe even have another garden. Finally.

I guess the only good news about starting at 12 is just maybe they come out of it at a younger age, too. If they wait til the traditional 14, they are that way all through high school, when they can get in even more trouble.

My sister and her husband definitely got her counseling, which she went to sullenly and came out of sullenly, and pushed as steadily as they could to get her to see that her friends group were not really her friends. Drama! Trauma! And church groups and music lessons and and and. Just keep at. Your baby needs mucho mucho attention right now.

Whoís cutting onions?!? Thatís sweetest Christmas letter ever!

Yes Pearly, that was me!! I never truly leave the forums, I always enjoy reading the Loaders and Losers thread. But I do think I'm permanently signed in one of my old devices, so I'm always "here!"
I agree, 6th graders should be in elementary school and 9th graders should have their own school. Freshman year for girls is especially hard. My daughter, and all girls, I think truly struggled with the attention from the older boys and it was a terrible distraction. Overwhelming for both boys and girls.
Linda, it's 45 minutes each way, 90 minutes one way would crush me!
And for all you seeing snow, I'm jelly! I am a winter girl and we haven't had much this season in Maryland

I had a nice bump down this am, 1.5 lbs. I'm really digging the 2.0 this round. I think losing the egg and the deli meat helped a bit there. And crunching on raw whole green beans is now my guilty pleasure :-) I'm making my fake Italian wedding soup this weekend. Lean beef cooked in chicken broth with fresh spinach, some onion and finely chopped cauliflower. The cauli looks like pasta. I'd make mini meatballs but I'm lazy...

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome back!

    Welcome Tracy.
I am in week 3 of VLCD. I am continuing to follow V2 protocol. Night time is my only difficult time. Iím a late night eater. I find if I donít watch tv, itís a lot easier.
I want to lose weight. Failure is not an option. I WILL SUCCEED!!!

Thank you twabell! I have a couple tricks for nighttime hunger. I drink something hot, like tea or broth. When I did OP, I would save some calories from day for the broth at night. It's maybe 15 calories a cup? Bone broth is very good and even more filling. A bit of grapefruit also is shown to curb hunger. And some essential oils, just smelling them can work. I would use peppermint. But yes, tv is a sure trigger!
I will also brush my teeth an extra time
Also, a mental check in helps. I tell myself, "I've eaten this "_______" I know it's delicious and I look forward to having it again in phase (3,4)

You're attitude is spot on, you're doing great!

You guys are the best! Thank you for sharing your teen girls experience and insight. I read all of your post to my husband this morning so he can hear it from others. We donít get a hall pass from this phase and he also has a very important role as her father. So Dadís getting aboard too!

Boy, lots of action in here since I posted last! Busy day here today. So happy to see the new faces & that everyone in on course. So cool to see some of you at or very near goal.

I went down another .8 & am happy with that right now even though I'm losing the weight I shouldn't have gained! Ugh! 😖

Until we meet again! I'm exhausted!

JessieB that's awesome! So glad to hear your DH is onboard. He plays a important role right now in establishing her sense of value and worth. This forum is the penultimate of women and men supporting each other. I've gotten so much good advice from everyone. LinderLou even kinda saved my life when I was suffering from syncope. We go through it all here.

Gem! Great numbers! The first week is so motivating, isn't it? When things slow down I like to check my measurements or try those pants in the back of the closet. Different numbers, but they still tell the story!

Welcome Mama! You are in the exact right place!

I spent yesterday fixing food and laundry, laundry, laundry. Love that HCG energy. Today = carpet cleaning. I've found that my son really likes my HCG soups and he's digging into my dang rations!!! I made the wedding soup yesterday and he ate half. He thought the cauliflower was little noodles :-) And sadly, I'll have to hide my venison bars from him, they're pricey and they're MINE! I'm a terrible mom.
Down another .6, total lost in 6 days is 5.4, average .9 a day. I'm hoping the 2.0 keeps this slow and steady pace. I have no hunger but hitting the right calorie/protein and carb number everyday is a part-time job. I guess I'll be paid in better health and super cuteness at the end of it all?

    Good morning, Lovelies!
Itís great to see so many people doing so well, except for back problems and teenagers, of course. Hang in there, Jessie and RK.
Iím planning my next round and expect to be able to start loading on Feb 20. Iím afraid to step on the scale until then, but Iím going to be conscious to eating healthy in hopes of losing or at least not gaining in the meantime.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, Lovelies! Can I say getting a great night's sleep can do wonders not only for your body & mind, but weight loss as well! I got up real early & then weighed myself down .4, decided to go back to bed, then 2hrs later got back up, weighed myself & I was down another 1.2 lbs!

I've had this happen in the past & that's when I saw how important our sleep is! Anyone else notice this? 🤔 Anyhoo, I'm pumped cause that made me drop 1.6 lbs!

Kar- we'll be waiting for you! I'll be a little over 2 weeks into it & I'm hoping to make it 40 days which will take me through mid March.

Tracy- good job! I love the energy as well & it's just starting to kick in for me.

Well, you all have a great Sunday (enjoy that full moon) & Stay Focused! 😎

Thanks Tracy! I am always cold when I do this so Iím obsessed with soup. Haha. Would you share your recipes? Also what are these venison bars?? I get real tired of the meats as I only eat chicken and mahi. Iím lame. Lol. But Iíd try a venison bar. Is it like jerky? So many questions. Lol And donít feel bad. I hide food from my kids all the time.
