    LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - FEELIN' FINE in FEBRUARY!!!!

    Hey all. So glad to see everyone is doing so well. Truly inspirational. And I need a little today!

    As to the old question about exercising in P2, I just answered it for myself. No. Not good.

    I went to a Y class that was supposed to be for all participants, children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent. It was supposed to be with dumbbells but it was with barbells. Not being a total idiot I did not use barbells and my dumbbells were like 2 pounds. There were no 10-year-olds. And all the 30-somethings were wearing Fabletics.

    I carefully did not do as many reps, did not go as deep on squats and lunges, did not let my heart rate or my breathing get totally out of control. I thought I had dogged it pretty well. When done, I found walking to the car was an act of courage.

    I wanted to see if my hair was still OK but the mirror on the visor was clear up there. My arms could not reach it. In fact I wasnít positive I could reach the steering wheel. Speaking of the steering wheel, my forehead found it comfy. When I finally got home, Well, that was the extent of my day. I canít ever remember feeling that weak, except after major surgery.

    Yes in part it was my age. In part it was all the desk jobs Iíve had for the last 15 years. But yes in part, exercise and P2 is a no go for me. Or at least I will stick to much gentler things. Iíd like to do that class but I will work up to it.

    I will not be weighing until maybe Tuesday.

    Not because of stiffness, I have turmeric tea for that, and will take a hot bath tonight. Last night, I may not have been able to get out of the bathtub, so I didnít try it. No, I wonít weigh because I may have self medicated with extra protein and fat. And chocolate.

    Sure thing! The Venison bars are from Epicprovisions.com, they have a bunch of different kinds but a lot have fruit in them which I have to stay away from in 2.0. I buy mine off amazon, they're a little cheaper that way!
    So, I kinda wing all my recipes but here's my method, this makes about 8-10 servings and is not OP but if you are rogue, go for it!:
    On medium high heat, saute half a chopped onion in 1/4 cup broth or mct oil (1TB) until soft. Add 1 cup chopped up cauliflower, cook for a minute or two more. Add 3-4 cups raw spinach, stir until wilting. Add 48 oz of chicken broth and another 35-48 oz water. Then add about two cups lean ground beef. Simmer for 15 minutes and enjoy!
    This time I added 2 whole peeled garlic cloves during the saute phase. I also season with pink salt, pepper and onion powder.

    Ahhhh yes! Epic bars! Yummmmm. Iíve never tried going rogue. I get scared. Haha. Usually by the end of week 2 I have to cut out grissinis and have tomatoes and ground beef only rarely. Ugh. But cauliflower sounds phenomenal!!! I just went out and got Trader Joeís chicken and beef bone broth so I can make some soups. Thinking chicken and celery and maybe tomato beef? Fingers crossed theyíre edible. Lol

    Pearly, I'm so out of shape, my arms get tired when I shampoo my hair in the shower...
    Down a lovely drop of 1.6, so far I'm beating my best average losses ever. And my carpets are clean. I think I'll go buy a lottery ticket.

    Mama, if you want to stay OP, make the soup without the onion and cauli. You won't miss it, I don't think. Just be sure to add the broth to your calories for the day. I use generic Giant broth, it's about 15 calories a cup.

    Wow, what a lost weekend. I am better today, but still feeling tired and weak. I think I may have hit a perfect storm and was fighting off something, too.

    Itís tempting to give up but Iíll just keep plodding along and see where I am at the end of the week.

    Wondering what cuts of beef everyone eats? I had it in my head it was only extra lean ground beef that was allowed but Iím thinking that may be wrong. Thoughts? TIA!

    Thx for the recipe, tracy. I love Italian wedding soup. I'm going to give it a try. I love soup too, mamma! 🍜

    Doing ok on this end. Down another .4 today. I'm fighting a cold right now & couldn't taste food yesterday! I'm already not to find of chicken-ha, but I enjoyed me some shrimp for lunch.

    Hola, Lovelies! Ok, Let the Warm weather & sun return!! 🌞 I'm done with the cold! Ha!
    Isn't it amazing how the weather can have a lot to do with your overall wellbeing? When we were in Florida last month, I was out walking and enjoying the sunshine & life. This cold dreary stuff doesn't do much for me!

    So, yesterday I was Hungry a lot! It was day 6 & I'm thinking that was not abnormal for that time in the program & I think I had to much protein or something (it's all a blur now &#128563 & today I'm Up .6. My 1st bout with hamburger for the week + I need some quality time in the BR, I know TMI. 🤭 Whatever it is, I'm moving on. After tomorrow 's 1 week weigh in, I'm going to try real hard to just weigh weekly. That increase of .6 really dragged me down!

    Ughhhhh. Sorry Gemgirl. Thatís so frustrating. Iím right behind you at day 4. I know the losses are about to slow down. It might be a personal thing but I always have trouble with ground beef! :/ you could always try some smooth move tea or magnesium. Iíve doubled up on my magnesium and still nothing LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - FEELIN' FINE in FEBRUARY!!!! I have been feeling vaguely hungry and very tired. Coffee to the rescue. Lol

    Iím also swooning for warm weather. I was in Arizona last week for the gem show and now Iím back in Colorado. Itís snowed three of the five days Iíve been home. Over. It. I need to be outside!!!

    MtMama, where in Colorado? I'm Colorado Springs and it is snow snow snow here lately. Bleh.

    Okay here goes. I am not getting anywhere right now. I have bounced around 130.8 since Feb 1st, I have been down as far as 129.6 and up as far as 131.6 but no actual progress. I've been exactly at 130.8 for 4 days. I am on day 36 at 12.6 pounds lost, which is what I was on day 26. This is nuts.

    So, I am transitioning into a PI and let myself catch my breath for a week or so. Actually, planning on transition and then 10 days and back at it. That's the plan, anyway.

    I'm completely over the soreness/stiffness from Saturday, but am seeing a personal trainer in 'functional fitness' later today, and will start some swimming on Thursday. Not laps. I'll have to work my way up to that. I'll start with just bouncing around in the water with my nephew. He loves the water and can swim in his own way so he is safe, but he does not exactly go in straight line. I will work my way up to laps. Okay, lap.

    I want to give myself a chance to get these things into my system/routine without hcg for a couple of weeks. Believe me, I will start gently! I need to do this to get out of the house before I become a hermit. I never set foot outside from Sunday night until late Thursday afternoon last week. It was very snowy and cold, so I wasn't unhappy about that, but it's not good for me.

    I'll check in every few days as I'm not going anywhere and will be reading daily to see how everyone is doing!
