RK, I agree with Kar and Linder, physical, emotional even mental stress or anxiety can mess with you. If you're not yet at 23 doses, I would at least try for that. If you're over 23 and want to stop be mindful that your LDW may not be exact (probably higher than it should be). I'm sure Leez can help you through it if you go that way.
And try and get some self care in! I know its hard when you're taking care of family but a quick massage, manicure or a bath may alleviate. Sometimes I go to the salon just for a hair wash!
Please take care and give Dad a hug!

Hey all y'all! Down .2 this morning. Starting my trend of big drops and two-three day plateaus. I missed my shot yesterday and felt great all day, so pleased to know my dose is spot on. I had ceviche yesterday at this adorable very tiny Peruvian restaurant in Rockville. White fish, onion, lettuce and lime juice. I could eat that everyday. I'm not meant to have any fruit or lemon, lime etc. on 2.0, but it was the best choice from the menu.
Happy Friday, Happy Presidents Day and Happy Valentines Lovelies!

Hello....so, I had a "blow out" kinda day yesterday & I'm not weighing myself for about a week! Nuff said! 😖

  4. #88
I forgot to weigh myself this morning. WHOOPS! Haha. I was curious because I had 5 hard boiled eggs whites as a meal yesterday (I donít care for the yolk) Was hoping it didnít mess me up. I also found some p2 clean pickles which were delicious. I guess Iíll have to wait and see until tomorrow.

I have to say this round has been different- very interesting so far. Past rounds I obsess and I mean OBSESS about foods I can eat when P3 starts. Looking up recipes, making lists of meals. Itís a little ridiculous. Lol. This round I seem to be fine. I just eat my boring meals and have mostly forgot about food.

I also got news one of my best friends is moving across the country. Ughhhhh. I SOBBED for an entire day. And I am not a cryer. It struck me late that night that I didnít have any of my ďcrutchesĒ (food or alcohol) to ďcopeĒ with the news so I just had to feel it. And feel it I did!!!! Iím hoping that may be a break through that I donít need to use food or booze to deal with emotional moments. Maybe this is the round food becomes fuel not comfort. Fingers crossed. It felt like quite an ahh haaaaa moment!!! Iím also reading The Power of Habit and finding it very interesting! Guess that about covers it for me. Happy Saturday all!!!

    Hi everyone!

Gem, that is exactly the right thing to do. Wait at couple days or more, any "transgressions" eventually settle and this way you don't have to deal with the numbers! It was just one day, right? I hope you enjoyed it :-)

Mama, that is an inspiring point of view! Sorry you're friend is moving away. My bestie is in NC and we see each other about twice a year and it is a celebration always. Hopefully, she's moving somewhere awesome to visit!
Sounds like you hit your sweet spot on dosage, it's so much easier when you land there, isn't it?
I'm going to check out that book you mentioned. Habits are fascinating to me, good and bad. The best habit I learned through HCG was water intake in any phase. I'm older than you chickies, I imagine, so water feeds my wrinkles and when I skip out- it shows.

Speaking of wrinkles, this winter round is wreaking havoc on my face. It's usually the opposite with hcg . Skin is really really dry. Like your grandpa's dandruff head, ears and collar dry. Let's just say I'm wearing a lot white these days. I know my coffee intake is double right now, there's one culprit. If y'all have any tips, bring it. Maybe a humidifier in my bedroom?
Losses are coming along though. Just under 10 down in 14 Vlcd days. Today is my halfway point and it's flown by.

Okay folks, stay hydrated, unwrinkly and focused this week!

Can totally relate to the dryness Tracy. Iím in CO and itís sooooo dry here. I use Alba oil free moisturizer for my face. It smells amazing and it really helps. I also got the Nourish oil free moisturizer for my body from Trader Joeís b/c itís way cheaper. And humidifier for sure!

Got my period yesterday. That always throws a wrench in things but Iím on VLCD 9 and down 8 lbs. Iím happy with that! Pretty much just eating rotisserie chicken and hard boiled egg whites, celery, pickles, and cucumbers. So boring but it works. Lol. I tired asparagus but Iím so used to cooking it in butter that itís not really cutting it for me. And I baked some mahi but it was just too fishy for me. Might try it on the grill if it warms up at all. I did make baked chicken with tomato sauce and Italian seasoning. It was delish!!! Trying chicken and celery soup tonight. Fingers crossed. Happy Sunday!

    Mama, I'm shopping humidifiers today!
I hear you on the fish, it's a crap shoot on what tastes and smells good. I have luck with tilapia and haddock. Bake the haddock on parchment paper and it tastes and looks like lobster. I do spray it with a little coconut spray or brush it with MCE oil. I eat it with fresh spinach cooked with broth and its yummy. That chicken dish sounds good! I still haven't made your celery soup.

I'm on a roll with losses. The last three days I dropped at least a pound. Unheard of for me during the third week. Last night I was still full and went to bed a little worried thinking I overate. Menu was... (Remember I'm on the 2.0 plan) I had a venison bar, made a pork cutlet, red cabbage, onion, and diced tomato stew - with Frank's hot sauce and for dinner I had about 1 1/4 cup 1% cottage cheese with diced cucumbers and a little more hot sauce. Only 538 calories, I was under my goal of 567 for the day, nbd. I saw a 1.2 loss this morning. Very motivating to eat things I enjoy and still lose!
And in better news, my daughter hooked me up with extra frozen needle stash, so now I have enough to go to day 39.
Ive been adjusting my calorie intake (based on my bmr) and still feeling good as it goes down about 25 calories a week.

I have a train travel day Wednesday so I'm scoping out meals that won't stink up the quiet car I promise all the east corridor Amtrak folks that the hard boiled eggs will stay at home - my gift to the world :-)

Happy Presidents' Day to all the presidents except for the current asshat in office!

    Happy Monday, Lovelies!

    Mama, great job breaking habits!

Tracy, I used Curel moisturizer during winter P2s when I lived up north and it really helped with the dryness.

    RK, how are you doing?

I'm still planning to load this Thursday and Friday. I wanted to start this next round earlier, but last Monday morning I had to have Mohs surgery to remove some basal cell carcinoma from the side of my nose. Then in the afternoon the plastic surgeon re-arranged my face a bit. It actually looks good and the stitches come out today, so I should be good to start VLCD on Saturday. I'm still afraid to step on the scale until Thursday morning. Yikes.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Good Morning Lovelies,

Just a quick post here before I head out. I will read back more on our thread at the hospital! Thank you all for the warm thoughts and wishes. I am doing well. The stress of the dad hospital situation is helping my diet ha ha. My initial goal was 136 and today I am 134. So today I am going to end my round and start my transition to P3 with the 48 (Homeopathic HCG) hours of P2.

It is tempting to keep going... I would like to maintain at this weight...my skinniest on this diet ever was 128...but I think now is a good time to get off. I can always do a vanity round later after a good long break. What does everyone think? I am well past the long round, that's why I am getting off.

How is everyone doing this Monday?

I have to see if a rehab/short term facility will take dad. Friday one we wanted rejected him. The hospital wants to get rid of him by today. He is motivated to get healthy and strong, so the daily Physical and Occupational therapy at a rehab would be great for him. Hope everyone is doing great! Happy Monday!

    Fondly,
    RK

Happy Monday and President's Day all you Lovelies!

RK - CONGRATULATIONS on reaching GOAL! How very exciting!!!! Here's to stabilizing together!
On the Dad front. My opinion is that the hospital staff and rehab facility staff need more education on dealing with older patients and their families. They tend to want to shove the patient out the door at the earliest possible moment with no regard to how they will be cared for afterwards. When my dad was 82, he broke his hip and had emergency hip replacement surgery. The hospital didn't want to keep him past 3 days and were preparing to send him home to my mother, who was also 82. We ended up rushing around and finding an extended care facility who would take him, like at the 11th hour. So, so, SO stressful. Sending you luck and good thoughts as you get this worked out.

    t y - Welcome and happy losing!

Kar - Sorry you're having to do another round, but at least you know what to do! You're probably very smart to wait to start after surgery. Good luck on your round!

Tracy - Great job on the losses. So happy 2.0 is working for you so well. LOL about the eggs on the train. DH can always tell when I've boiled a batch eggs.
I'm having the dry skin wrinkles too. Let me know what you figure out that works for you.

Mama - Great losses so far! Sorry to hear that your friend is moving. We moved a few hours away about 6 years ago. DH was not fully on board with moving from the "city" to the "country" at first and so far from our friends. I finally told him we will probably hear more from them now that we're further away and WE DO! Phone calls, text messages, emails... Almost as good as seeing them in person Sounds like you did have a break through on food as well as emotions. Congrats on that too!

Gem - Hang in there with laser focus and you can recover from you blow out. May you be blessed with a whoosh!

AFM: Still at 0.5 above LDW and feeling very stable. P4D35 today. Haven't really added back many starches. I do allow myself to have half a baked sweet potato once every 10 days or so. I don't really miss anything else like bread, French fries, etc. I don't miss sweets at all and feel so much healthier not eating them.
I'm planning to do another round in about a month to address the last 15-20 pounds. I've got a 30 day window before another work trip, so I'm hoping I can get at least 15 off.

So, that's it! Have a wonderful losing (or stabilizing) week everyone!

Welcome Ty, so happy you found the thread! Are you still considering 2.0?

congrats RK on passing your goal! And I hope you find good care for your Dad. You are a blessing to your family for sure.

Kar, hop on the scale now! Just get that number out of your head. This round it helped motivate me to load more intelligently and I didn't gain. Are you planning a short one? I've got 21 more days to go and look forward to some company.

Linder, I'll be ending when you're beginning. I'll pass the torch!

AFM, no loss today, same weight, I'm expecting another pause while my cells regroup and get back onboard. I'll measure tomorrow to keep me motivated. When I measured Saturday, my food baby was down another inch!
Thanks everyone for the skin tips. I spent the weekend doing self care. I found some exfoliant in my cabinet from bioelements which helped a lot. And my daughter bought me some goo to add to my moisturizer that feels dreamy, squalane from The Ordinary? I have to go slow on products due to my rosacea (spelling?) But I'm starting to get that glowy HCG face back!

    Go get 'em, team!
