    Happy Friday Lovelies,

Leez, thank you I look forward to reading your post on my next break. I hope your thyroid labs show improvement. Having my thyroid working makes a huge difference for me.

Natalie and Powered by Starbucks you are both doing so great! So proud of you both getting sober and healthy.
Natalie that is great news about the staff position you were offered!

    Beachy: how are you doing?

Lane: I take magnesium to stay regular. A low dose helps me, but when I was really constipated I needed a higher dose. Think about investigating this because thereís no reason to be uncomfortable and Leez had a great help for me. Also, I take vitamin C for constipation with the magnesium. Magnesium and vitamin C do not build up in your blood. Your body will just eliminate any extra. Leez has written about constipation in P2. You may want to search the forums for answers. I found her very helpful with this or,You may want to ask her on the ask a P2 question area?

AFM: in 3 days I have lost the weight from my planned interruption. Usually I am much more strict on a PI, so I am relieved to be back. I am finding this round easier in some ways because I do not have the pressure of eating in restaurants and doing corporate entertaining. However, I am home with the refrigerator a lot more and I do find all this quarantine very stressful. I am trying to set up a good habits for P3.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Warmly,

P3D7 - Been up and down this week( but have not gotten close to the over 2lb. mark yet).

Today I'm only .6 above LIW, but I made a salad for lunch with Bleu Cheese on it, so we'll see what happens with that tomorrow.I just make the decision every morning before getting on the scale that whatever it is, I'll do what I need to do to deal with of it. Meaning If I'm up too much, then I'll do what it takes to get back down. If I'm still good, I'll eat what I planned, and keep it moving.

I was the same today. Meh, I might have overdone the calories or mixed veggies. I have to remember inches and not get discouraged. I donít do the grissini and wonder if I did everyone once in a while it would shock the system.

I am so ready for the weekend. Work was exhausting this week. Mentally exhausting that is.

I appreciate the tips on the magnesium etc.

LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - JOYFUL & JUBILANT in JULY!!!

I was a gremlin in my pantry and fridge today. Ugh! Stomach hurts. I really need to get back into p2. I have these uncontrollable urges to snack. Iíve tried distracting myself with projects, errands, etc but I need downtime. When i have downtime, i go nuts! Cup of noodles, two granola bars, Reuben sandwich, jalapeŮo bites, pork rinds, ice cream (and i donít even really like sweets).

Any advice to curb cravings? It was so easy on p2 and now itís just crazy. Maybe there is something I can eat or drink in the morning to stave off the afternoon munchies. I like the bullet proof coffee but not really hungry in the AM so I generally donít eat except for like an apple.

    Thank you for advice!

Gremlin LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - JOYFUL & JUBILANT in JULY!!!LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - JOYFUL & JUBILANT in JULY!!! I know those moments. Can you eat more of P3 foods? Or make some yummy bell pepper nachos with cheese and ground beef and sour cream, guacamole. Have snacks on hand and binge on those? I soooo know the feeling but youíre sober and thatís the first priority. You can do this!!! Protein shakes?

Are you eating meats? I've been in P3 a week now, and have no desire to binge or eat anything forbidden. I do keep a lot of ground beef and chicken leftover from P2 around, and if i feel sudden hunger, will through a burger or chicken breast on the countertop grill, and much away as a snack.

How are these binges affecting your LIW?

Thinking you are not eating enough protein for the cravings ... eat some peanut or almond butter also cheese and apple . Cut them up in smaller sections. Make sure you are srill drinking plenty of water, Maybe too long on P2. You can do three weeks P3 with staying protocol and just adding more meats and fats

For cravings, you can try a bit of L-glutamine powder under your tongue (like 1/4 tsp or less). It can calm cravings down in about 10 minutes, so if you can hold out that long, it might work for you.

Try to get some protein in the morning. Collagen in your coffee or tea with your apple or a small protein shake if you can't stand anything more substantial. Sometimes, if you don't eat enough for breakfast (especially protein), you can end up chasing hunger and cravings all day.

I wonder too, if you stayed in P2 too long, and your body is reacting to that. If that is what is happening, going back into P2 is not going to make things better, but will likely create more deficit and make it even harder to stabilize.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Iím going to up my protein in the morning and have more protein on hand for when Iím hungry. Iím also going to make sure I get plenty of water as that may be an issue too. Thanks again!
Iím resting about 2 lbs above LDW so at the top. Hoping with upping protein and staying away from grains and sugar, that Iíll go down to LDW or lower.

Also yes, Charlie! The pepper nachos sound awesome! I have ground beef thawing and some sweet peppers in fridge. Yum! Thanks!

Leez, where do I get the L-glutamine? I donít have a ton of money still I am interested in that. Iíll consider holding off on p2 for another week at least if not two. I feel like upping protein and eating in the morning will help greatly! Thank you so much for your advice.
