Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - JOYOUS in JANUARY!!!!

  1. #49
Well it's been a weird week. I got a cold, and I ended up eating more, like up to a thousand calories for a few days. I did stay on meats and veg and fruit though, no donuts, so I consider that a win for cheating 😁. I had one week down on Thursday, but I didn't weigh until today and I lost 4.5 pounds since I started. I feel good about that. Oh actually it is 7 pounds if you count the load weight which I did not. I am full of hope today, for ages I have not been able to get below 150, twice I got to 149 but it was for a day and I couldn't get lower or even make that stick, today I was 154, and I really feel like it's going to happen this time. If I can get into the mid 140's and then maintain that for a while I think I can really do this finally.

So last night I had one glass of red wine. I was at a big group dinner and it was so hard not to eat a thing or have a second glass of wine and enjoy myself (I'm on crutches and just generally miserable). I also think I didn't hit my water goal cause sometimes being out and having to go to the bathroom 900 times is super difficult on crutches. Anyhoo. Today I noticed no weight loss. I was super bummed (today is VCLD day 9). So today I skipped my melba toast and fruit and hoping that makes up for it. I've also downed water.

And is there any HCG friendly fiber I can take. I take Physillium Husk but I need something else.

UPDATE: So today is VCLD 8 and I've been at a stall since the night I had a glass of wine. I lost 6lbs in 6 days and now I'm the same for 3 days. I also read that for stalls to cut out oranges and strawberries and cut down on tomatoes. Those have all been staples for me. Is that true?

    Thanks!

    Hi Journey,
Stalls happen. Don’t stress them! It’s natural. Even when you’re not losing (even if you gain a tiny bit) the protocol is still working! Your fat cells are just holding onto some extra water, which they will release. You’re doing great! Don’t let the scale bother you.
That glass of red wine probably didn’t do much damage. I wouldn’t make a habit of it, since you’re certainly better off without it.

I posted this in the men’s thread but once you get past the first couple of days where you are mainly dropping water weight, your weight loss will not be linear. I have been tracking my last 3 rounds and you should expect to see a series of plateaus with drops between. The variable is how long your plateaus last. When you are in a plateau you will see your weight stable and even could go up a little bit. Good things are happening when you are in a plateau. Your body is breaking abnormal fat down and a scale drop is around the corner. Stay the course and trust the process. It works.

    Hello Lovely Ladies and Lads,

(Great to see a guy here Wilson, welcome, or welcome back)

Friends I have been so so sick but today I am better. I am coming back from my Planned Interruption.

Journey, Stalls Happen. Leez has suggested Vitamin C and Magnesium to keep things moving. I take Calm (Magnesium Powder) in water at night, I find it helps me sleep, and I take vitamin C also. If that helps.

Lakina: I hope you are feeling better now.

Everybody, I will read back but glad to read everyone is chugging forward. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
    Best,
    RK

Some cut out fruit for different reasons. Iíve done it and then realized I wasnít getting 500 calories in a day. So if you decide to skip fruit make sure to adjust your calorie intake. Personally I donít skip the fruit anymore. I feel more satisfied eating eat a 3 course meal (protein, veg and fruit) for lunch and dinner. The weight loss is the same for me with or without fruit so I keep it.

Because the volume of food you eat on P2 is so minimal, fiber is not your friend. There is not enough there for it to work with, so it will bind you up rather than help you. Its much more effective to stop any fiber supplements and take magnesium and vitamin C instead. Increase doses of each until you reach your point of bowel tolerance, and then back off just a bit. Until I figured this out, my P2s were miserable because nothing was moving through. Good luck!

Wilson, I love the word plateau.

Journey, Stalls are not really stalls at all, but just another piece of the puzzle. Like Wilson and Kar, I always tell people that when they hear you can lose an average of half a pound a day or whatever, that is an average, not a daily goal. At the end of the round, count the days and count the pounds lost and divide accordingly, and there's your average measurement, which, despite plateaus, bad days, stomach troubles, even sickness and yes, a cheat now and then, usually averages out about the same. We all love to see that scale move every day, but that's not really how it works. (However, it often works that way the first week, which spoils us for the rest of the round! LOL) Hardly anyone sees a loss every day, and two or three days after a cheat is not abnormal. You will get there.

AFM (As For Me) I aim for 6 pounds my first week, as that's when I get my biggest losses. So far, I'm down 5 with today being LCD 7, so I haven't quite made it. Well, if I can squeeze out a pound by tomorrow, I guess it counts. I totally own that I have been struggling and had a nibble hear and there of carbs and more protein calories some days than I shoulda. I hardly deserve the 5, so I am grateful.

I had a bout of FREEZING both Saturday and Sunday, which at least tells me my Hcg is still good, despite being in the freezer since August. Oh man, Saturday, I had the fireplace on, the thermostat said it was 75 degrees in the house and I had to go put on a turtle neck sweater over the long sleeved t-shirt I already had on, wrap a warm scarf around my neck and put on a fleece jacket over that. Had on a pair of socks and thick slippers. Then I huddled under a quilt for about an hour. And then started peeling off clothes because I was hot! Repeated on Sunday, except I actually crawled into bed with the electric blanket on and fell asleep like someone had hit me over the head with a rubber mallet. Woke up 40 minutes later, again too warm.

    Crazy, man!

Week 2: Now the work begins.

    Onward!
