Hey group! I am considering to do a new round but very scared to due to the coronavirus. Has anyone had any issues? Thoughts om lowered immune system and can grt sick easier? Everytime i do a round i get a cold... im afraid if i started one i could die. Its a serious matter. What are all of your thoughts? Tia!

Hi sherrieef! Some of the ladies on here are taking advantage of the social distancing and not going to restaurants and social events and staying home to do a round. I, on the other hand, decided to postpone the round I was planning to do in March/April because I am afraid of getting sick and having to stop mid-round. If you get a cold every time you do a round, I would vote to postpone until the situation gets better. Just my two cents...

Sherrieef, I concur with LindaLou. Itís a stressful time but we are staying home and declining visitors and we have been quite healthy since. Kids are also homeschooled due to current times. I also donít have the tendency to get a cold on hcg though.

Hello All I'm still having wifi issues ... my hotspot is working intermittently though. I've decided to do a planned interruption until after TOM. I finally weighed myself and was unhappy to say the least. No gain but no loss either. That and just the mental exhaustion of work and this ridiculous prison life is wearing on my mental state I think the low blood sugar is contributing as well.. i'm just down and annoyed by everything. They announced yesterday in southern Florida that they are extending this bullish through mid may ... they came back and said that was said in error ... but I tend to think it wasnt... they just didnt want to say it YET lol. VA where my parents live is doing shelter in place until JUNE 10TH ... So I'm going to give it break for a week or so and then try again. I should have about 40 days left.

Good morning, Lovelies! Congrats to each of you for staying on here. I truly believe this is the best tool to keep on track to good health, slim bodies and inspired minds! Since we are all being held captive in our own homes, which is one part wonderful and one part not so much, this thread is a wonderful way to keep connected.

I am picking up an Rx for steroid later this morning. With all of the real sickness in the world, I feel pretty darned puny for being so incapacitated by a stupid sinus thing, but I am waking up every day more exhausted than when I go to bed. I am barely able to function right now. Dizzy is a big part of it, but as long as I hold still, I can avoid that. While everyone else is cleaning their houses, I am reading mediocre books on my Kindle app and not moving. I really don't have the energy to do anything else. Headache continues daily. But, no fever, no cough, no chest congestion, etc. I had a 'tele-appt' with the 11-yr old dr who is treating me, who continues to believe that all old people have rocks in their head. She was going to refer me to an ENT, which is great, but their office is closed until May, and then I can look at getting an appt in July. So, let's hope the steroids help. I had an ear infection about six years ago and had to fly home and that's what they gave me and it cleared up almost overnight, so I have my fingers crossed. Sorry--- I'm just another old woman who can't talk about anything except her ailments. Meh!

I am up 2.2 pound over night and have the headache to prove it.

I'll just be hanging around here griping for another month, and eventually do another round to get back to where I was. Just bad luck on my part that this hit just when I was coming out of P2 and is messing with me now. I can't face changing my ticker today. If I'm still up in a day or two, then I will.

    Onward!

    Good morning all.

RK, how did your steak day treat you? Did you find something yummy for your coffee?

So yesterday, Mr. Savannah cut down three oak trees and a cottonwood that were growing into our creek by our back road and we loaded every log from them into our trailer and picked up all the brush and got it all burned and cleaned up. I got 11,500 steps and we worked about 7.5 hours in the yard. I didnít drink enough water, but I got plenty on vitamin D. My body is sore and Iím up 0.4 lbs.

Today is my girlís sweet 16. She picked out her gifts online and half have been delivered. She wants Chinese take-out, a chocolate cake with chocolate chips, and a bonfire to hang out at and make símores. These are what I can deliver. She was happy to have her classmates wish her a happy birthday when she logged in to her first period in Google Classroom.

My youngest finished her weekly packet yesterday so we will pick her up a new one in the drive thru after 11 am.

We do have to stack the logs today and I may do some yoga poses on the ground for a half hour or so after to try to loosen/tone up a bit, otherwise Iím focusing trying to help my girl enjoy her special birthday. Most people will always remember their 16th and with her falling in the middle of a pandemic will probably make it stick. I want her to be able to look back and still smile and see how special she is to us.

Ok...Iím getting a little mushy. Lol

Oh my goodness. What youíre going through sounds awful. I pray the steroids help eliminate all of this . Having to sit still is nice here or there, but not a way to live. Keep us updated.

Well, it's Tuesday Lovelies (in case you're losing track of the days, like I am)

Rosey - Glad you're able to get online in some form. We've been having intermittent outages and slowdowns for the last 4 or 5 weeks. Finally got the ISP guys to come out today. They won't come in the house or anywhere near us, but are checking the equipment on the utility pole. Hoping they get it fixed.

Savannah - Geez - you guys are really cleaning up! Happy Birthday to your 16-yo! Sounds like you're going to have some good family bonding time today!

Pearly - Be very, very careful if you're driving to the pharmacy! That sounds like an awful thing you're going through. Hope the steroids help and that you don't have too many side effects.

RK - How did your steak day go?

RoseL - How are you doing today?

AFM: One pound below LDW today. Jeans are getting looser and looser - maybe they're just worn out

Everyone - have a great losing day!

ETA: PS. Has anyone else noticed a great reduction of robo-calls and spam emails? Maybe those folks haven't figured out how to work from home

    Good Afternoon Lovelies,

Rosey: So sorry to hear about your WIFI issues. I always did really well after a Planned Interruption. For me it was losses like week one again. Just one caution: I always need to give myself a MAJOR Pep Talk after a PI to get my head in the game. Visualize the goals blah blah blah ....It really helps to be successful at a PI.

Pearly: Hang in there! I'm sure you will lose the aggravation weight! Do you think you might have any sleep apnea? I say that Just because you are waking up exhausted? My folks and DH have the machines, but could you sleep on a few pillows and try some nose decongestant spray before bed? Ask the young'un Dr for a sleep machine through insurance?

Savannah: Wow great that you are getting wonderful exercise. I'm sure that weight gain was from all the activity and little water. Happy Sweet 16 to your daughter! I was ill with the flu on my sweet 16, we celebrated 2 months later. Since I am a summer birthday, it was more fun for me as all my friends were there and we could chat about it at school...Then my parents found out we talked about it at school and made me invite my whole school class-- way too many people...still lots of fun and my aunts baking cupcakes for days... so maybe she can plan a party now and make crafts to decorate/give away as party favors at the event?

LinderLou: Sorry about your internet! Great Job losing another pound! Yahoo. Way to go. It is hard to lose on no hHCG so great job.

AFM: "Steak day" was a success, down 2.2 pounds to 128.8--Still .4 up but I think I will be careful today and eat P2 style and it will go away. I probably am looking at 2-3 days of being careful to get back to baseline and stick there. I used brisket, not steak since that was the dinner plan. Since I ran out of cream I used butter in my coffee and it was good! I also made and ate some cocoa-crack using Leez's recipe. It really turned out well. She powders the Zylitol in a coffee grinder and it spreads out really well, not as gritty tasting as other recipes. Here is her blog post with the recipe:

So I am finding going to the grocery store quite stressful. But today I have to put on my big girl pants and go. I have to get groceries for my mom and her elderly neighbors. I also have been walking 10,000 steps a day and exercising, so this weight gain is even more of a Why? issue, so I am hopeful it was just the Chinese take out effect! Have a great day Lovelies!

Praying for big weight losses for everyone!
    Fondly,
    RK

    Greetings, lovelies!

OMG, Pearly... Clearly your sense of humor is still in tact, so I shall not worry too much. Hope you feel better soon!

Good to see so many of you are doing well.

Savannah, this will certainly be a special birthday for her to remember.

I'm afraid to give an AFM update, because that always seems to jinx me.

Hope everyone has a great day!

So the consensus is that people are still doing this diet with this virus going around? Would you say that on this diet our immune system is lowered and were more vulnerable? I still work full time. I go to the stores once in a while to get food. But i avoid everything else. I really really want to do this diet. I am 40 pounds overweight. Any personal opinions or experience,? I really appreciate you'll!

    Hello everyone!

Sherrie - I haven't any worries about a weakened immune system. It seems people overeating and putting processed chemical foods in their bodies would be in a worse place than someone eating purely healthy foods, but less of them. Just my opinion, though.

Pearly - what a frustration. I hope this works for you!

RK - well done - it's so nice when correction days work!

Rosey - good luck! I've had PI's work well for me.

AFM - As I posted before, Sunday was up 1.2, then yesterday was up another .8 - Grrrr. Today was down 1.4 which gives me hope I will get past this. If this round isn't going to behave, I will take a break and try again later. Nothing worse than eating so little when everyone around you is having fun eating all their quarantine snacks and then have the scale laugh at you. If I wasn't so determined to lose weight, I would give up now. But I want this weight g.o.n.e. At least I stayed in my new decade through all of that. Small victory. I never want to see that old decade ever, ever again.

Good luck to everyone. I hope we all have good things to report tomorrow.
