Hello everyone, I'm still here! I've been reading every morning but running late for work so I tell myself I'll post during the day and then the day gets away from me ...
Doing well in P3, I'm about .6 over LDW. Unfortunately though, adding in the fat has has messed with my tummy. I haven't much appetite so today I plan to fill up with the fat bombs that don't distress.

Good morning lovelies! After one full VLC day, I'm down 3.4 more pounds for a total of 5 lbs (2.8 lbs total minus load weight). I have clearly been retaining a lot of water and my joints feel much less pain today which I'm incredibly thankful for.

Today I've got to drive in and out of SF and expect to be behind the wheel 6-7 hours today. I'm dreading it. I cooked for the road but I'm thinking I may have some swelling back tomorrow. Hopefully the loss is larger than the water retained.

My neighbor will be taking care of my bottle fed baby goat for me while I'm gone and is getting my youngest from the bus for me. It's gonna be a long day. I'll check back in when I can later waiting for my appointment today.

    we plan ... life laughs

i had it all figured out! canned chicken and tuna; no fuss no muss. What I did not account for was the sodium levels lol. I'm tracking my calories and nutrients and I'm like how on earth am I getting up to 80/90% of my daily sodium intake on so little calories... smh. The organic chicken isnt too bad but the tuna....lord help me.

Given my issues with water retention I'm not going to continue with these as my primary proteins. I will use them occasionally as fillers or calorie boosts. Going to pick up some pre portioned chicken and lean turkey cutlets today. I'd much rather save the sodium for my pickles lol they are a savior in p2 for me... only thing that feels like an indulgence (to me anyway).

Also, I'm supposed to be eating 800 - 943 calories on this hcg 2.0 - but i dont see it happening. I got to 614 yesterday and if I stick to my menu today ...645. I'm simply not going to force myself to eat.. I won't do it. It makes me mad ... and a positive attitude is paramount to finish out these rounds imo. I'm just now mentally (and physically) recovering from the "load" #rollseyes.

my vita gummies - not giving those up either - i'm rationalizing this by saying I'm not eating fruit or melba so 15 cal and 4 carbs a day is a non issue.

I guess this is my "F*!% It" HCG protocol. This is what happens when youre older ladies? lol you just dont compromise any more? My first rounds years ago.. I was a stickler for protocol.. I did have 2 major cheats though my willpower back then was terrible lol.

29 yro Rosey: cheat = tacos tequila wendys
almost 39 yro Rosey: cheat = eff it... im keeping gummy vitamins!

    life is a funny thing

Rosie, "F*!% It" HCG protocol is hilarious. Not as effective as OP, but I get it. LOL
About half the time I actually lose while loading. As Linder said, it really depends on what I eat while loading. Of course this time there was a yummy baked gouda mac and cheese in front of me the second night, so that wasn't going to happen.

P2D18 and I'm up 0.6. (insert unamused emoji here) Whatever. No cheats, so it's just water and will depart in due time. Onward!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Kar, I just feel like there are so many variations of the hcg diet now that people have success with that I'm not going to stress myself. I do agree its risky as every body is different (Like look at Savanah lol.. she can drink hard seltzer .. take salt baths and lose 5lbs... me ... i could never lol)... so.... "F*!% it"

My load was relatively clean - lots of brie, guacamole, butter sauce and salmon, hwc for my my sugar free chai or coffee lattes, lobster bisque (cream based),macadamia nuts. I did add wine and tequila lol my appetite was shot only way I could really eat anything. I did allow my self 3 fried chicken tenders and mozz sticks - but that was the extent of my naughty list lol.

Sorry about the .6 - it will be off in no time

Back on forum after a year of eating whatever doesn't work for me so i wasted last round and then some. Quit taking my own good advice. Couldnt get my head in the game till this week. No sure who i will do I ordered OS hcg and starting at 130 13 units Loaded monday and tuesday. Last time i loaded three days. Would like to lose 20 lbs this round. Doing 30 days but will be happy with 15. Getting started was the most important thing. I have done a number of rounds since 2011. No excuses but back in the game so to speak. Happy to see many familiar posters still here

You crack me up! I've got some heart issues and was swelling bad. Most of the bloat had been around for months while I ate like crap and sipped Hard Seltzer's daily while drinking diet Coke to hydrate LOVELY LOSERS 2020 - Marching Forward in MARCH!!!!That's the only reason for the big drop up front. Had I been eating close to clean, it would have been a much smaller dip.

I feel you on age too. Now that I'm in my 40's...it's all started to decline. Hey, that's why I'm here. We have to feel good and HCG does that for me.

Kar, gains and stalls suck! I'm sure I'll get there in a couple days now that I've pee'd all that water away.

Roselanoue! I've missed you! Sorry you have to come back, but always glad to have you.

84Rosey, I feel your pain on loading. I often don't count that weight in my losses. Unless my losses are too slow, then I do! LOL. Like others, I've had better success when I don't do a Farewell Tour of all the things I shouldn't eat ever anyway, but just a high fat, high protein load, which is what it sounds like you did, so IDK. I often end up doing 3 days, as I have Fear of Being Hungry, and the load part is supposed to help with that. I am hypoglycemic and you do NOT want to see me hungry!

I was wondering when you said you are almost 6' and had 300-400 protein calories! I'm 5'4" and close to my goal weight and I get >500 on 2.0. I eat every dang one. If I don't, the 'starvation mode not gonna let go of an ounce' thing goes into effect for me, rather quickly, due to the many, many low calorie, low fat diets I've done over the years. (Uh oh, she's doing it again. Hold on to everything!) What I like about 2.0 is that gives me three portions of protein a day instead of just two. I find that when I start to stall too much that some extra protein and even some fat seems to help. Just up each protein serving by an ounce or two, and you will get closer to your protein calorie count without much trouble. But everything about this diet is counter-intuitive to what we have been (erroneously) taught about dieting. Less in this case is not necessarily more. That said, as many have said on this thread: Your results may vary! LOL. Just saying, keep that in mind.

I'm sitting here again at the exact same weight, and so relieved! I am, in fact, eating cookies. Turns out I do have a severe sinus infection, which has made me really, really dizzy for the past three days. I'm on a strong antibiotic, which is a HUGE honking big oval pill. When your doctor and the pharmacist tell you three times each to take With Food, ya gotta listen. I ate eggs and some grape tomatoes for breakfast, took the pill and ugh..... not enough. Cookies are the fastest delivery system since I have no bread or crackers in the house.

I only have cookies because I bought some yesterday to eat when I picked up the RX in order to take the first one right away. Which is why I was relieved to be the same today. I'm thinking any gains from yesterday's cookies are offset by the infection getting a bit better. It explains why I could see losses but TESS couldn't. I have homemade veggie soup I can thaw for supper and will hope that works better than eggs did. Today's the day I take my nephew to the Y, but while i think I can do the treadmill, I will sit on the sidelines of the pool part. I can't imagine a dizzy spell while swimming would be fun.

P3 starts Saturday, but who's counting? (I AM!)

    Pearly,

I'm definitely supposed to be eating more lol. But its just not adding up. I was successful on the original protocol at 500 calories so I'm not going to stress it. I'm eating what I can and as much protein as I can while hoping for the best

Happy Taco Tuesday Lovelies! Oh, sorry about the Taco reference P2-ers...

Tracy - I know what you mean about the day getting away from you! Especially in P3/P4 and beyond, since there are no exciting losses to post about. Hope your tummy troubles resolve themselves.

Savannah - I'm about 130 miles from SF. Where are you driving from/to?

84Rosey - Well, at least you identified the water retention culprit. I tried the canned chicken once - blech! I cook my own or go for the plain chicken in the deli section. At least it doesn't have a nasty (to me) smell and flavor. Otherwise I cook my own plain chicken breast in organic broth with garlic powder, cube it and put in snack baggies. I cook enough to last a week, so not a big chore.

Kar - It's just your fat cells hanging onto water... Remember that graphic Christy used to post for us all the time?

Roselanoue - Good to hear from you. Sorry you are back up and need another round. Getting into the right mental space is Soooo important. I'll be joining you in a couple of weeks...

Pearly - Ick, sinus infection. Not fun at all, but it does account for TESS being stubborn. Hope you are on the mend quickly. P3 on Saturday - yay - wear that dress!

AFM: Nothing new to report, but I wanted to say Hi to everyone! Have a Great Day!
